It's always cluttered with inventory that needs to be put away and stocked. Hardly ever see any workers and for the ones you do see are seemingly on their phone as if to wait on the next co worker to stock the store. Always understaffed and in conditions such as these it's a wonder you can find good workers much less any that would want to work at a dollar general. There are a few outside the city limits that maintain their stores very well , limited staff, but they do pretty well in regards to teamwork.

Fantastic DG. The gals there are always trying their best to keep the store looking fantastic. The only thing that drags this store down, are some of the customers that apparently only care about themselves, and don't mind trashing a store right behind the gals that are fixing it. People complain that they arent attended to 3 seconds after they come thru the door, always giving the employees a hard time. I could never work in that environment, as I'd end up giving someone an attitude adjustment. If they're stocking, just use the self checkout. Don't say ya cant, you know you do it at walmart.

*UPDATE as of June 29, 2022.* newest reviewThere have been times like today that the items are not ringing up as the price advertised. I kindly addressed it to the cashier while checking out and was rudely told that customers move items around all the time. I told her it can't be so because it wasn't just the one item, but the whole box of things at the wrong spot. Told the cashier this happens many times. She then blamed new employees stocking the shelves. Also, I told her she can check and see the advertised price of the item on the floor, but she didn't want to be bothered. A business can't advertise a price for an item, and then try to sell it for another price! Why is that continuing to happen at that Dollar General? Management also could care less because I had a similar issue a few months ago about an item that I had addressed, and the manager was rude.*The review below is from a past visit*Rude manager and employees at this Dollar General! An employee was also on her phone chatting away while cashing me out. UNACCEPTABLE!

I've never had a problem there with anything or anyone. They carry most items that most people need or use.Just to clarify my reviews the gas prices at the Lakeland Dollar general are usually the cheapest in Lakeland.I also have been to the Dollar General at Walkers Crossing. This DG, was also clean. And the people who work there were very helpful and friendly also. This DG, doesn't sell gasoline, like the store in Lakeland. But both stores were clean and organized. If you're in the area of either store, I recommend that you check them out for your local shopping needs.

Long lines only one cashier working at the register.... Need better work flow management. The cashier that was present was delightful, respectful, and we'll mannered. She treated the customers with respect greeted them when they entered the store and said a nice good night when they were leaving ... I give her 5 stars.... 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was using the scanner for the cart on the dg app to keep up with my total, buying normal things like milk, bread, shampoo etc, but when I was being rung up the manager ran to the register and kept motioning towards me. He was distracting the cashier, who even asked him if he was okay because of his gesturing...in the long run, I didn't get to use my coupons that I planned the trip around. He made me feel like I was a criminal for using the app to keep track of my spending.

More variety of products and good prices. The produce is of a better than average quality, just not as many choices as the Nashville GA store has. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Clean, not cluttered. The older lady with white hair wasn't there so I didn't have to deal with her cold stare. Overall a pleasant experience.

Clean store and you're able to walk down every idle. Also you are greeted by very nice employees right when you're walking in. It is very seldom they don't have what I'm looking for.

What can I say? It's a DG. I go there to avoid the crowds at the bigger stores in town when I just need the basics. It's a good place for that. But, you can pretty much whatever you might need.

The manager or whoever the older lady is is rude and she leaves the doors open and smokes right outside of the store. People constantly stand in line waiting while she is stocking the shelves after she sees them waiting in line. Just needs new people working here...new manager for sure!

The store is well-stocked, clean and has very friendly staff. I live in walking distance of another Dollar General location but would rather come to this one which is about 2.5 miles from my house.
