I really like this store. it is nice to be able to walk into a book door and physically hold a book you’re interested in. a fun thing to do is get a coffee and enjoy walking around browsing.What kills me is the prices? I know it’s common for price to be an issue anywhere however… why so high?It’s hard to make myself purchase any book that is about 20 to 25% higher compared to amazon. I personally wouldn’t mind a few dollars extra but a markup is extraordinary.I will pay $10 for a 8 dollar book but not $55 for a $45 book.I do something quick or stores like this will go the way of the dodo.I wish yall the best of luck.

Love the selection of books. I don't recommend going to the coffee shop. Got a frappe and it was very weak tasted just like sugar. Got a triple Expresso with milk and it was cold. Had to ask to heat it up and it was still cold. Definitely stop for books again though.

Dirty store. Immature and discurteous staff. Poorly run. Books are mishelved. New releases are often put out prior to release dates because there is no leadership and nobody paying attention to detail. They have one male employee that randomly tries to speak in an English accent (very badly) and makes everyone within earshot completely uncomfortable. It's totally cringe-worthy! The manager dresses inappropriately and is always taking a break or at her meal break. I asked to speak with the manager about possibily secure space for our local book club meeting the following month and the associate was sent back to me with a message from the manager.. "we aren't interested in getting involved with anything like that'. Bad business decision made by a very lazy, slovenly employee. Terrible store!

As always, filled to the ceiling with all kinds of genres. It's refreshing being able to go in, purchase a book and a cup of coffee, and just relax. They also have limited edition toys, games, collectibles, journals, and planners. If you can think it 9 times out of 10 they will have it and sometimes at an amazing price.

This place is in need of a lot of repairs. The ceiling is in bad shape. The whole overall look of the inside shows it needs attention. They are taking books off the shelves that are useful and replacing them with comics or manga. Can't find any good reference books anymore. The bathroom is falling apart and seems to need cleaning up.

I like books a million. They have a great selection of art books and magazines. You can sell books here as well but they don’t pay very much at all. It’s not worth the trouble. So I just donate to Goodwill and libraries.

At this entire plaza BAM had to be the best thing there. The book variety was kind of spread out. For example they have two different religious sections. At most BAMs I have visited they only have one section. The staff are nice and will help if you need anything.

I tried to checkout when they had three people on the floor one skinny and blonde with tons of acne and some chick with brown hair and they did nothing and just sent us to checkout at the coffee counter. We waited at the coffee counter for 20 minutes where it took him all that time just to make one coffee out of three in that 20 minutes before we left. When he was making that one coffee to check to see if it was warm because the costumer complained about the first one he stuck his finger in her coffee when he thought I wasn’t looking. I just ended up leaving without buying anything cause I was gonna wait for two chick to screw around in the back while this dude struggled for 20 minutes to make one cup of coffee. It happened Jan 27 around 7pm for the managers who wanna know what time the trash workers were working.

the worst BAM location i’ve been in. shelves were disorganized and low stocked. waited at the checkout counter for five minutes before some girls came out and yelled across the store for the barista at the coffee bar to check us out. the barista was the only employee on the floor and we waited another 10-15 minutes while he was making drinks. i even walked around the store to look for other employees because there were six other people waiting to be checked out behind us. finally just put our stuff down and left (a major disappointment because the book i wanted will be hard to find again). worst customer service ever.

My favorite place to be. Love finding deals on used and clearance books, and manga sales. The coffee shop mixes with the books and makes everything smell so good! I love it.

Extremely nice staff. They helped me find what I was looking for and it was only 1 book left. We found the Star Wars book I was looking for and it took like 20 minutes. I GREATLY APPRECIATED IT.

It is a huge store filled with all kinds of books. I was mostly at the children section and it had a decent collection.The important thing about the store to know is , it also sells gently used books , toys and puzzles .It also had the academic books and needs for the children.Not only that you can come and give your used books and toys to them. I don't know if they take it as donations/ they give store credit / cash . I was halting there for a break on our drive back home. Hence I do not have much information about the above.But do go and check it out.

Absolutely wonderful!! I love getting my books here. Associates are always so kind and helpful. They always help me find books I can’t find or order them when they aren’t in store. They have all types of merch and things to keep anyone entertained. They have a cafe and when I learned they made smoothies- I quickly had to try. Best smoothies I’ve had

I was there to purchase a Book called: where the Wild Things Are. I called ahead of time just be sure Brooks-a-million had it and they did. Then I spent 30mins looking for the book, because their wasn't anyone around to help me. So I went up front to get help, Isaac at drink bar was trying to help by calling for assistance and that person was disrespectful and not friendly, but did retrieved the book. But my experience was very NEGATIVE other than Isaac assisting me. You would've had to been there to see and feel the disrespect and bad Attitude the staff member showed. One cashier stood on the FURNITURE to announce that the store would be closing in 30 mins. I used to enjoy going to Books-A-million but I'll be ordering my books online after this experience!!

Normally bam is my happy place. But today I brought my emotional support animal in. I called ahead to make sure it was okay. i got there it was going fine and then this employee asked if i could pick her up. Which is fine, (even though she's on a leash), but then when i explained she hated being held, the employee scoffed at me and was rude, "your cat hates being in stores??". i clearly did not say that. I said she hates being held. She's fine in stores. And then when i tried to further explain the woman INTERRUPTS me to say "we only allow service animals anyway". I tell her I have her ESA letter and as I'm pulling it out to show her she walks away.I then did try to hold my ESA and like I thought she freaked out and made it a big deal.books a million please do a better job of teaching your employees to be ESA friendly or just say they're not allowed.

The worst, employees don’t help customers locate books and the store selection has no order . I will stick to the public library and Barnes and Noble online. It is pitiful that this is the only bookstore in the city .

It's great just being in there surrounded by so many stories and of course the coffee is phenomenal as well. The staff is very polite and it's super easy to find what you want. You may even find something you didn't know you wanted :)

I called as I was heading through Valdosta to see if I could get a copy of a book that had just been released. The woman who took my call was super helpful! She agreed to find the book in the back and call me when I could come get it, and she called me within 20 minutes that it would be waiting at the register for me- so helpful!

I frequent books-a-million for their large variety of titles . They offer buybacks which I recently utilized. I had about 12 books I bought there and brought them back after reading them. They offered me $6.50. My purchase price would have been $100 or so. Total ripoff. Seriously considering never returning!

I love coming here with my family. A coffee from the cafe while we stroll and look at books and we almost always walk out with something new to read. And the pokemon go gym here is a must.
