I enjoy being able to get snacks and groceries for foods that I love, however, every time I’ve gone, the owner follows close behind me with a broom and spews profanities in Korean thinking I can’t understand. I try to be kind to him regardless, but just be warned this is how you’ll be treated here. So know what you want when you go in and don’t ask any questions unless you want to be met with short/rude responses. 피부색에 관계없이 사람들을 더 잘 대해주세요.

Pros: I was so excited to find a Asian store in this city.. the store is fully packed with many items and seems to be in good condition. Cons: The older male in the store had such a horrible disposition that I put all my items back and walked out. I am AA. I was not sure if it was a problem with my race or if he is always in a terrible mood.

Nicole Daily keep your American dollars they can have mine.This is a small shop with great items.The homemade kimchi is yummy and they have great selections, you can't find at regular grocery stores.

The reviews on here are immature and misleading. If you need someone to hold your hand and lead you around the store - don't bother coming here. If you are a grown up and can read labels in a store with 5 isles, this is an absolute GEM.This is a great asian food market, with THE BEST housemade kimchi you will find. They have thorough assortments of sauces, noodles/rice, Frozen foods, candies and what seems to be a rotation of fresh veggies. Also some kitchen wares like bowls/plates, pots, chopsticks, teapots etc.

I’ve never had such wonderful people help me!!! I was looking for Kimchi although it was not on the shelf due to limited space, the husband quickly helped me. I needed Napa Cabbage, which wasn’t on the shelf & the wife helped me, it was all in the back, so if you don’t see something…ask for it in the back because…they most likely have it, but due to limited shelf space, you have to ask & be polite…do not demand…it is disrespectful in EVERY COUNTRY! The wife helped me pick out all the perfect ingredients to make my own Kimchi! This is a ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL PLACE…I do NOT UNDERSTAND WHY SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE MISJUDGED THIS WONDERFUL PLACE!!! They even helped me bring my groceries into my car!!! I will be a FOREVER CUSTOMER & I just think all the negative people don’t understand the culture! Show this place some RESPECT! Nice little store. The dude and his wife are pretty cool. A small family working to run a store with decent product. I get everything I need to make pho here and have slowly found more things to add to improve it. Been going for around 6 years or so and the people have been great and let me take free newspapers.For the negative remarks: You got this poor guy who can’t spend $10.00 and a lady who is salty because someone looked at her the wrong way? Then you have the chick who understands business and if she can go to Jacksonville to get an ingredient why can’t everyone, because I’m sure that’s good business. Really? Sounds like the issue is you.

This place was great for hard to find Asian food and spices. Today though I was told that there is a $10 minimum to use my debit card. Really $10??? That makes absolutely no sense!!! I am not interested in forcing myself to buy things that I don’t need to cover the .25% fee your getting charged.

Great products and reasonable prices for the most part but selection is a little limited and some are a bit inflated. I plan to shop here again but I will admit it seemed like buying items here was an inconvenience to the shopkeepers.

Had a great selection of things we miss from both Korea and Japan. Owner is a lovely Korean woman who was very helpful in showing us the things we would need to start making our homemade kimchi. There is also refrigerated section in the back of the store for frozen items and some fresh and ready kimchi. Would go back again!

I used to live in Daegu, and was missing fresh kimchi a lot. Publix jar kimchi really isn't as good. It's good and fresh here. The owners are friendly if you know the right social conventions and have good manners. You won't find anything like this anywhere else in Valdosta.

We (4 people) spoke when we came in. The guy didnt acknowledge us. We looked around and didnt see what we need this time. We thanked him and waved. He barely looked at us, didnt say anything and rolled his eyes. If I need a specialty item, I will order online from amazon even when od prefer to shop locally.Why run a business and not at less acknowledge your customers? Even if he had asked what I needed he wouldve been able to let me know that it's coming in or that just flat out don't carry. The selection is ok and I would've return for a few things but not with customer service like this.

It's great that asian groceries are available in this little burg. But their stock and hours of operation seem to keep dwindling. So I have to go to tallahassee, jax or atlanta, and I think: if they already making the trip, why can't they....but they're not very friendly to broach the topic, and maybe their market base is insufficient to allow for a greater inventory. But seriously, I can buy kimchi & tofu at Publix, so....

Really love the wide variety I have been looking for different items for a while, and really did not want to order online. They could be a little more friendly, by honestly I'm just really glad to have an Asian market in Valdosta.

The only thing I have to pick with this place is how the place has a weird smell to it. I know it's an Asian market and all, but it definitely puts me off in such a matter of minutes to the point where I want to go outside for a while for fresh air. I'm not going to be terrible about it, though.
