We have used Tybee Vacation Rental company 3 times in the past year . We have stayed at 5 O’clock Somewhere , The Breeze Inn and Once Upon a Tide . All 3 stays were great . I have read through some of the negative reviews and have I not experienced anything what other people have when it comes to the customer service of TVR. In fact, we experienced the opposite . They have been more than accommodating. If we had a problem with the property, they were out in less than 15 minutes on most of our calls . We loved every location and what is advertised is what you get . We will keep renting from them . My only wish is that they had a loyalty program . See you again very soon !

When we arrived on Thursday afternoon, we were greeted with a pool area littered with feces and covered in algae. The main reason we chose this rental was for the pool. Despite being assured of a prompt cleaning on Friday morning, no one showed up by 2pm. After reaching out, we were informed that the pool was broken, with a part ordered for Saturday morning. Promised updates never arrived, leaving us unable to enjoy the pool during our vacation. It felt misleading that the property advertised a pool when management was already aware of it being broken. As we entered the apartment, the state of cleanliness was appalling. The floors were covered in crumbs and dirt, they were not mopped or swept after the previous guest. All the dishes needed to be washed again due to food residue from previous users. The bed sheets were also in a sorry state, with human and dog hair, press-on nails, and makeup stains. We ended up spending the entire first night & next morning washing the sheets. Additionally, Unit C requires a thorough bug spray as we found rodent and roach droppings under the sink and on the kitchen floors.Our vacation was suppose to be a time of relaxation and freedom from responsibilities, instead we found ourselves unexpectedly joining the "Housekeeping Team."

What's the perfect vacation home in Tybee? Easy answer - Tybee Skies hosted by Tybee Vacation Rentals.The Tybee Skies location was fantastic for my family to come and relax for a week. Everything was perfect, from the quiet residential location steps away from the beach to the panoramic rooftop patio and luxurious accommodations with an elevator.Tybee Vacation Rentals provided an easy way to book our stay and answered our questions before the trip and while visiting.Our location was as described in the listing. We arrived at a beautiful home that was clean and stocked with everything my family needed for our getaway. We will definitely book through them on our next vacation booking.

My girlfriends and I stayed at 'Our Happy Place' vacation rental on Tybee Island for a weekend getaway. We rented the property through Tybee Vacation Rentals. The property is marketed in a misleading way. We were very disappointed with the property overall. The website pictures are deceptive.The home is dated and is in need of an overall facelift. The plumbing system is loud and clangy. When flushing the toilet on the lower level there was a loud knocking sound every time. There was also exposed, rusty plumbing in this bathroom. My bedroom was on this level and had wood paneling. It reminded me of a sauna when I first walked into it and it did not disappoint. The room was hot and humid with no ceiling fan. The A/C did not flow into this bedroom. It was so hot in there that the room was unusable and I had to sleep on the couch in the living room area for the entirety of my stay.Our expectations were high due to the price that we paid to stay here, which was around $500/night.We were definitely underwhelmed. I plan on vacationing on Tybee Island again. The area is lovely with a beautiful coastal vibe. I would NOT rent this property again, nor would I recommend it to friends or family. It is overpriced and the quality is just not there. Additionally, I will use an alternative vacation rental/management company the next time, as it appears that Tybee Vacation Rentals has no interest in providing customers with the excellence and quality that they have paid for.

We have used Tybee Vacation Rentals four times now. This last experience was terrible, we stayed at catch a wave. The rental was dirty and run down. We had to have maintenance come and fix windows that would not close all the way or lock. We called the office and all they could say is they were sorry. We spent alot of money for this particular property and my wife should not have had to clean the place on her own when we got there. I asked for call backs twice and did not receive the call backs after maintenance was there. The owner of the property had done some sub par repairs. I think Tybee Vacation Rentals needs to do a better job of quality checks on the property. It seems that they are more worried about quantity of bookings rather than QUALITY. This is our 1st bad experience with them, so we will use again. I just hope they do better moving forward.

My family, my parents, and my dogs all enjoyed a 3 night vacation at Sandy Souls. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and we were even able to check-in early! They have an online portal where you can find all kinds of information. They provide a travel guide for the island in the home. This house was very convenient to the beach, gift shops, the sugar shack, and a couple of restaurants. The house had all the essentials we needed as far as linens, cookware, washer and dryer, etc. TVR also provided laundry detergent for a single load of clothes which was nice. We had no maintenance issues and the house was very clean. The fenced-in yard was huge for my dogs. The home was very cozy and our favorite hangout spot was on the balcony patio. I would definitely recommend TVR to friends.

Do not rent from this company.It’s so upsetting to have to write this review when we still actually are supposed to have 3 days left of our vacation.We were renting during Hurricane Idalia. Prior to the storm, wires went down in front of our rental property and we lost power. We stuck out the night in hopes of power returning quickly the next am. As the sun began to beat through the windows that do not open- we reached out to the power company who told us that the property management company would need to get updates since we’re not the owners of the property.We contacted Tybee Vacation Rentals, explained our situation and concerns regarding having very small children in a house with no AC/power. We were told by someone in the office that she was a single mom and her kids have lived without AC for days and that we should either deal with it or leave.Prior to losing power, the ductless unit in the living room barely worked, we had an ant infestation in a bedroom, and once it started raining water was pouring through the living room ceiling onto the couch which made us wonder, how much dirty water had already been pooling on that couch during other storms that our family had been sitting on.We received not a single bit of customer service or understanding for our situation. We spent over 7k on this rental. If this happened at a hotel, there would be so many accommodations offered. We were offered nothing, if anything it was brushed off as not their problem. We were told to check out if it was so bad which is exactly what we did. Gave up 3 days of vacation on Tybee because Tybee Vacation Rentals has no customer service. They may be great to their owners but certainly not the renters.There are other rental companies! Rent from them! Give yourself the peace of mind- do not rent from this company (the pink sign properties!).

Do not book here- Knot a Care rental on Eagles Nest managed by TVR. I am a personal injury attorney who is a married to a local Tybee islander. We had people from the neighborhood over to take photos and to eat oysters during the day for a few hours. It was not a wedding. There was no loud music and we were not damaging any property. Most of the friends we were enjoying oysters with were outside on the lawn and lived down the road. . We had barely slept in the beds or used things inside. We brought our own steamer and everyone was being respectful of the property. We even talked to the neighbors, who my husband knew, and invited them over to enjoy the food. I understand that people may not have wanted visitors on the property, during the day (which is silly, but their prerogative)but when we were actively complying to have people leave and assuring the property managers that nothing was damaged and no one was staying over or using the house- we then were told the owners wanted us to leave immediately? My daughter had just been injured falling on their broken dock, and was still bleeding in the bedroom. My elderly mother who has issues walking and standing for long periods of time had to leave her room and then drive around looking for a place to stay. Luckily, another property manager our friends knew gave us a discount and found us lodging since they were so appalled by how we were treated. There were only 4 people staying on the property overnight, and it was obvious you could tell this from the luggage and things in the house. Our friends were so respectful that when we were told to leave, the house was clean in one hour, and even the conditions of the room were approved by the property managers prior to us leaving. You can read the reviews on Airbnb regarding how my family and I are as guests- we leave homes spotless every time we travel. We have hosted thanksgiving dinners, Christmas parties, and even our wedding in short term rentals, and have always had great relationships with the owners and hosts across the board. We always have family over during the day and some close friends, as the purpose of booking a vacation house is to gather and enjoy time with your family. If we had been treated with respect as paying guests, we would have meticulously cleaned this house, and mentioned the unsafe issues and leaks to the owners, but wouldn’t have shouted from the rooftops to others how horrible this property and its owners were. I am a short term rental owner as well, and would never have treated my guests like this. At best, I would have told them to make sure the visitors left and moved their cars, rather than evicting us (which I’m not even sure is the proper legal actions given the situation, especially since we told TVR we would happily discuss any issues with the police if they were called). I appreciate I was at least refunded some of my money, but I still have yet to receive the paperwork so I can file the incident report for my daughter’s injury. This should not be a rental, especially with the safety issues and lack of respect to guests. It’s also a joke that we were evicted due to “code enforcement violations”. I can’t imagine that some of the unsafe elements in this home are up to current code and safety regulations, and no one should be renting this house in its current condition. We woke up to the ceiling leaking a ton of water into the hallway, and it was obvious from the warped condition around the floor area that this was a known defect. Not only is this a slip and fall risk, but it is very likely mold is growing around the leak. The steps up the primary bedroom are steep, and the top step is taller than the rest, which caused me to trip going up stairs. The stair “railing” is dock line, but it’s loose and able to be untied. The section of the flooring by the main entrance is raised and very easy to trip over. The dock has loose floor boards and splintered wood, as well as boards with exposed rusty nails. These owners were more negligent of their own property than we were.

We stayed at Beachview resort, 404 Butler Ave, unit 432. Our condo was perfect, lots of added touches like beach chairs in the closet. It was also very clean, check in and out was very easy. We will definitely return!

We stayed at Toes on Tybee. This home was a perfect quick walk to the beach, very well equipped for large families or multiple families. This home was very clean. We had our grandchildren and adult children and there was so many spots to hang out. We even found that they had games and DVD’s, a fire stick and cable. All rooms had a television and the porches were a great place to relax. We did not even use all of the space available. This place is top notch. As always, another great rental from this company.

We stayed in Savannah with Tybee Vacation Rentals to celebrate my Father-In-Laws birthday over the weekend of the 4th of July. The home we rented was a beautifully renovated Victorian era home. It was advertised as having 2 off street parking spots which was a huge reason we picked that property since we would have multiple cars. When we arrived the road behind the parking spots had been completely torn out and closed, making parking completely inaccessible. When I asked TVR for help with this I was told to “Just park on the street”. I told them that this was not a permanent solution because 1) There was already limited parking due to others parking on the street, especially with construction workers across the street taking up many of the spots and 2) street parking would be closed all together for street sweepers one of the nights we were there.Following the conversation I was not given any alternatives and their customer service line has completely ignored my messages since.

Beautiful house that looks just like the pics. Very clean and convenient to the beach. There was plenty of space for me and my husband as well as our two adult daughters, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. The kitchen was well stocked and the screened porch was a delight. Also, everyone loved the small pool. Surprisingly, we had plenty of room to play and simply relax. Would definitely book this home again.

This was not what I had expected. Yes. It was clean. And sat right on the beach. However, when reserving the condo, we were under the impression we could walk directly out onto the beach... sadly we were on the second floor, and the stairs going down to the beach were broken. It ended up raining the entire time we were there, no fault of the rental company, but the patio had no covering, so sitting in the inside and staring out onto the beach was the only option for us. The beds in this two bedroom condo were a nightmare. They were extremely hard and falling asleep was something we all dredded doing on this vacation. Not to mention our check out was at 10 am in the morning! Who does that?! So on our last night we had to stay up to pack to leave on time that morning. Total cost was about 800 for three nights. Very overpriced for what was returned. We will not rent from them again. But hope others have a better and more clear understanding of what they are paying for. Make sure you note that the rental property and said office for this property are two different places so you are not out wondering around forever until finding someone who can help you! If you get their late, the property managers don't answer the phones!!(All photos were the morning of check out! And only from a distance.)

From the planning to the actual stay, TVR was very helpful and professional. Communication by email & text was great. Liked the 3rd floor property at Lighthouse Point; amenities, good value. Enjoyed our view, sitting on the big balcony, short walk to tour the lighthouse, long beach walks. Spent part of a day touring Savannah; nice to come “home” near the beach. Amazing to watch huge cargo boats coming/going to the 4th largest port in US.

I booked a property over the phone with TVR for the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon checking in, I was met with a giant dead roach in a windowsill that was fully visible and clearly had been there a while. The property (Guiding Light) had a private pool. The pool area was covered in pine straw, the chair cushions and patio chairs were in disarray, the sheet on the cabana bed mattress had visible mildew/mold, and the pool itself was covered in debris along the bottom. I spoke with Ashley who was pleasant but said the only option was to send someone out to clean the pool. I declined as I felt I should not have to interrupt my trip to allow maintenance at the house when the property should have been clean upon arrival. I was denied a refund of any portion of the cleaning fee. Hey, no problem, whatever.Fast forward and I call to book a beachfront property over the New Years Eve holiday. The website was allowing me to book three nights, but I called to book over the phone to see if there was any kind of frequent guest discount (there is, 5%). Ashley had trouble with her computer and asked to call me back. She told me later that the minimum stay was actually 5 nights and the website was wrong. Though this property (Tybee Southern Bell) was extremely expensive, I agreed to extend to five days so I could book the property. This brought the total to over $3k for five nights. Ashley again put me on hold to consult with a manager and came back to tell me the price online was actually wrong and they needed to figure out the correct price. I confronted her about why I was being given such a hard time about booking, and began to feel like I was being discriminated against for being a single female. I felt like they suspected something was shady with me being the only guest. I was then transferred to Katie who said it was actually the property owner that was denying to price and that their hands were tied. I told her this was hard to believe considering it all happened in real time, and it seemed far fetched to think someone called to ask permission from the property owner when they are the company managing the booking. Meanwhile, I went ahead and booked the property on their website and signed the rental agreement electronically. I received a call the next morning telling me the booking would be cancelled because the owners were going to be staying in the house during the holiday.If you’re keeping track, they went from saying the nightly minimum was wrong, so I agreed to extend it, then they said the price was too low, then the story changed to the owners were going to be staying during that time frame.This is completely unprofessional and shady business practices to treat a guest like this, especially one who was willing to spend over $3k for just a few nights stay AFTER having already had an unpleasant experience at another unit. I think they suspected something was weird with the booking (there wasn’t - I’m a single female and am new to the area) and were trying to find any reason to deny me the property. As a result, they breached a signed rental agreement that they themselves sent me.I will never book from TVR again and would dissuade everyone from doing the same.

We stayed at Beach & Racquet and really enjoyed our little condo. Arrival instructions were easy to follow, and the place was clean and welcoming. We were surprised to actually see dolphins from the balcony! Walking around Tybee, it become obvious how many rental properties TVR has to choose from. Would recommend!

The water heater went out on the last day and we did not get any reply from guest services. They offered a discount on a future stay but that is not helpful. A credit of $200 would have been more than enough. They said can't offer refunds for mechanical issues or breakdowns and they never reached out to us before we left. I am not sure how they are actually managing the property. The service was poor. The house was nice and in a good location.

We stayed on cloud 9 with Tybee Beach Rentals! We had an amazing vacation! The location of the house was on beach side with direct access to the beach ⛱️ 😎 The house was clean and cute! The only reason I did not give it a five star was because they only give you enough towels for one per person with no spare, and they were thin and small. Had to do laundry everyday to have a clean towel to shower with and same for kitchen towels only one was available. Also the AC was struggling to keep the upstairs cold, granted it was summer and hot. Other than that it was a fantastic vacation and we will be visiting Tybee again!

My fiancé and I rented through Tybee Vacation Rentals for a quick couple’s getaway to Savannah. The staff was friendly and thorough during the entire process. We chose “Southern Belle Garden” because of the location and because it was pet-friendly. The apartment was spotless, cozy and completely charming. Southern Belle Garden is tucked away on a quiet street but still walkable to much of the historic Savannah district. Our dog LOVED his long walks in Forsyth Park which was a very short distance from our vacation rental. This apartment had a cute courtyard in the back for our pup as well, so I could let him out while I was still in my PJ’s. Parking was super easy, I was able to park right outside the door every time. While looking for vacation rentals in Savannah we noticed it seems to be busiest on weekends so we opted for a mid-week stay for smaller crowds - bonus: it’s a little bit cheaper too! Would absolutely rent through Tybee Vacation Rentals again and plan to book our next Tybee Island rental through them.

We stayed at the Sea Biscuit and absolutely LOVED it!! It was perfect for our 20 year anniversary celebration as it was just the two of us. It was clean and charming and quiet. We enjoyed our walk to the beach everyday and our walk to AJs several nights for dinner, dessert and/or drinks. The location was perfect! The Tybee Vacation Rental Staff was super friendly. We stopped in one day to ask about the Sea Biscuit and to also get details about potential future visits!!! They were wonderful to work with. We are planning on booking another rental next summer and bringing our kids!!! Thank you TVR for providing such an amazing retreat for us to celebrate!!!

This was a great experience! Tybee vacation rentals makes everything so easy! The website is amazing and gives you all the information you need. It's very user friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process is great. Super easy and convenient. It's a great process and well thought out. The text messages are super helpful and great reminders. The condo we rented was well maintained, clean and great! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely use TVR to rent our next Tybee getaway!

Had high hope for a wonderful family vacation on Tybee. Upon arrival at our home the smell or must and mildew was overwhelming. Upon inspection of property we found a dirty pool and area all around it from fallen debris making it unusable. Numerous dead flies on most wind sills. One evening when planned to use the grill, next door construction was so loud and dusty we could not have our dinner or spend any time outdoors in our space. When I complained they apologized and offered to buy our family of 6 dinner. We received a $50 gift card that barely paid for one of us for dinner.Too little too late. Vacation was just not what we paid such a high rate for. Bad taste and mares our time Beware of overpaying for this company and their properties.

We stayed at Blue Skies for the second year in a row. Such beautiful home with all the amenities that you could want/need. The screened in front porch was where we spent much of our time while home. Easy and quick access to the local shops, beach, and lighthouse. Hucapoos and Tybean is less than a block from the house for easy and convenient meals/coffee. We love this house and hope to return again someday! Everyone should experience and comfort of this home!
