Nice area of the coast to visit. There are usually a good number of people fishing from the pier but today it was foggy with a bit of rain and wind. Cute shops nearby making for a nice walk through the boardwalk area. You do have to pay to park everywhere that i could see.

I have had fun and my friends had a good time. The environment was friendly and we enjoyed ourselves. They had a couple different shops up there you can go to. And you can go fishing

First time here. My wife had to use the handicap pathway, so it was nice they had one for the pier. The pier is solid and wide, and you get great views. You do have to pay for parking and they have bathrooms too.

First time visiting Tybee Island. The beach and pier are nice, but overall I’m not sure that I would recommend going too far out of your way to visit there. My preference would be to visit downtown Savannah and save the beach trip for points further south.

I love visiting the Tybee Island Beach Pier. It’s great for pics, enjoying the sun, and sunrises. And it’s a great place for people watching, including the pier fisherfolk.

Really really like the pier best part is it is free and open to public. Has a nice Pavillion on it with vending machine, water, cutting area for fisherman. Yes you can fish from it. Nailed it Tybee. Cool water danger guide pole. (I'm from the north and inland so that isn't an issue) I just thought it was really interesting.

This was a nice, serene little beach. You can see from my pictures that it wasn’t very crowded when I went. It was well maintained and clean. They have bathrooms available. Parking wasn’t bad. They have some shops and restaurants. Locals are very friendly.

Awesome beach! Easy to park and the beach is nice and not really crowded when I went and the waves were foamy. Pier was closed but there’s a restaurant and you can fish off it apparently!

Our first time visiting Tybee Island and participating in Tybee Island's Polar Plunge! Thousands of fun and friendly people lined the beautiful Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion. The beach was filled with excitement as we welcomed the first day of the new year together. The Pier was the perfect location for such an amazing and memorable event!

This was our first visit to the area, and we're very pleased with our discovery of the lighthouse and Fort. I was a bit surprised by the cost of going up into the lighthouse, but I understand that it's necessary for its general upkeep. I was pleased to find that the price also included entry into the fort as well. There is plenty of paid parking in the area, as well as food and drink available close by.If you found this review helpful, please let me know by talking the thumbs up. Thanks!

It's our first time here. After driving around looking for a place to park (we paid for 2 hours, they have a parking meter). I'm sorry, I forgot how much we paid. They have folks driving around in golf carts, checking the tickets placed in the window. We parked about a 1/4 mile from the beach. It's best to come early, so you can park across the ocean. But it was okay, the scenery was nice.We made it.It's not what I'm use to, being from the islands in the South Pacific. There were people fishing off of the pier. I got to pet a baby 🦈, the boy that caught it, threw it back in.They have stores to buy souvenirs like other places here in the mainland.Overall, it's nice and clean. They have bathrooms and stalls to change in along the way.Thank you, Tybee Island.

We visited Tybee to see the New Years firework display to kick off 2024 and had a great time! Traffic wasn't bad and even with island parking all free for the weekend we didn't have too hard a time finding a nice spot to ourselves on the beach. We aren't really beach goers so this was a wonderful way for us to check it out at night and watch a great firework show! Thanks to Tybee island for putting on such a great display for all to see we really enjoyed it and will be back!

This beach is unique in that you will see dolphins swimming so close to the shore! I’ve been to beautiful beaches on the California coast, and I do prefer the softer sands. But this beach and pier was a unique experience worth visiting! I saw at least 15 dolphins in the mid morning. In the late morning, I didn’t see them.California beaches have very big waves but the waves here are so small, so you can see so many people going to much deeper parts of the water than you would see on the west coast! There are many people fishing as well! It was a very interesting experience!

Really nice pavilion and beach area. This is probably the busiest beach area on the island so if you want somewhere quieter I would recommend going to the other side of the island. Other then that is is a really beautiful and clean beach area with amazing views. There are bathrooms at the pavilion as well. Parking may be a little tight depending the time of day.

I'm born and raised in Atlanta Georgia and unfortunately have not been here since I've been an adult. Awesome place to visit and has a bar / restaurant on the pier. There was a person celebrating their 50th birthday party and the entire group had no problem sharing the pier with us. Happy birthday Alan we had an awesome time. Very close to Savannah, downtown historic area which is where I stayed. This was about a 30-minute drive from there and plenty of parking spaces to choose from

Beautiful slightly crowded by the pier but all else it was a very nice beach we took the kids 4-6 metal detecting. The kids had a blast when they found treasure chests filled with trinkets and gold. My sister and her daughter set that up for them. Now when I visit the kids they ask me if I want to go money finding. It was crowded because it was Labor Day. Also we had good parking right next to the pier. We waited almost an hour for the parking spot.

Watched the sunrise. It was a beautiful morning. I got in and out before 8am so I didn't have to pay for parking 😅

Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion is a fantastic place to visit, particularly if you're looking for a fun-filled day at the beach with your family. One of the standout features of the pier and pavilion is the stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean that it provides. Whether you're taking a stroll along the pier or lounging on the beach, the view is simply breathtaking. The pier itself is quite long and offers plenty of space for fishing, people-watching, or just enjoying the sea breeze. In addition to the pier, the pavilion is another great feature of the park. The pavilion is a covered area that provides shade from the sun and is equipped with picnic tables and restrooms. This makes it the perfect spot for a family picnic. For families with children, Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion has plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained. There's a playground nearby, as well as a splash pad and plenty of sand for building sandcastles. The beach is also very family-friendly, with calm waters and lifeguards on duty during the summer months.Overall, I highly recommend Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion as a great place to visit. Whether you're looking to relax and soak up the sun or engage in some fun activities, this park has something for everyone. With its beautiful location, great amenities, and family-friendly atmosphere, it's a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the Savanna, Ga area.

I'm kinda bias on this one because I love the ocean. But, it's gorgeous! It's clean, not alot of people, at the time I went (Saturday around 4). It is pay to park but not too bad. Definitely gunna be a regular stop for me.

A most excellent time was had by all of us. The sand is one of the highest qualities in all of the southeast United States. It feels like this butter between your toes.

An unexpected surprise! We found the pier while looking for a wheelchair accessible mobility mat to access the beach with my cousin, who is disabled. We ended up on the pier. It has wheelchair parking and a nice ramp. A kind young man pushed the wheelchair up the ramp. One downside (or upside if you are a fisher-person) was lots of fishing poles to dodge, and a gross, bloody board where people cleaned their fish. This attracts lots of birds waiting for a "snack." I would definitely go back. It has great views and you can dodge the sand if you have a wheelchair or stroller. There are drink machines and restrooms.

Even on a super foggy day, this is a fun artsy place to play. Easy bathrooms, well marked streets and signage along the beach. Fantastic center of a cute beach town.
