One of the most eye-catching, cutest ice cream shops I've seen. There is every type of candy you can think of along with multiple ice cream flavors. The outside seating area has the MOST ADORABLE table & chair sets I've ever seen! It was a great stop to cure our sugar teeth 😉

Really good ice cream. I got the coconut ice cream and it was amazing. The staff are nice and the place is really clean. They have plenty of candy options along with lots of ice cream options. It gets pretty busy at certain times as it is a popular place though so keep that in mind. I would recommend stopping it was really good.

Beautiful inside offering so many types of candy . Ice cream was not that good. The kids that worked there were unpleasant . The taffy was melted. Practically all of it was melted. They need to leave the air conditioning on over night since all the candy was melting . They also sell knives and a few souvenirs.

We stayed around the corner and visited 1-2 per day. The waffles are great, my husband loved their coffee with two shots of vanilla, he also loved their red velvet cake ice cream, and I loved their sugar cone with chocolate peanut butter overload. Angie was so friendly and she recognized us our second visit and remembered things we had mentioned before…seemed like she knew everyone who came in and everyone loved her!

Ice cream is very overpriced, even for the beach. Flavor is okay but portions are very small. The decor is super cute and lots of photo ops. We are an ice cream loving family and really like trying new places. We really enjoyed other shops in the area more that were closer to the beach and priced a little more reasonably. Glad we tried it once but probably wouldn't go back.

Cute little ice cream and candy store! The outside decor is great and perfect for photo ops. The only downside is the gals serving the ice cream aren’t super friendly.My soon loved the mint chocolate chip and loved sitting at the ice cream table!

The Sugar Shack is about two blocks away from the AirBnB we are staying at and we saw it our first night on the island. Yesterday was a scorcher and after being on the beach for about an hour, my wife and I decided to run in and grab an ice cream cone. We’d not tried this location before, but we are certainly glad we did. The place was fairly busy with a large line at the counter. There are a few parking spaces for the business in a side lot and on the other side of the building, but other than that, it’s paid parking. We still had time left from our beach parking so that wasn’t really an issue. There is a covered area out front that has small colorful tables with cute chairs in the shape of ice cream cones. Inside the shop, there is a large candy selection and the decor is fun and kind of retro. This reminded me of the long defunct Heidi’s Ice Cream back home in Pompano Beach, FL. This place has a real mom and pop old time beach ice cream shop vibe going on and I loved it. The staff were super busy but polite and they had a special flavor called Key Lime Pie that we both tried. Wow! It really was like a Key Lime pie. The ice cream was smooth and velvety with a creamy texture (it will melt instantly when you emerge into the heat!), but it had the right mixture of tart and sweet that a legit Key Lime Pie should have. There were plentiful amounts of graham cracker crust in the ice cream, too. It was truly a treat! I regret that I had to take a picture of a partially eaten cone when I got back to the car, but it was so good that a photo of the cone was almost an afterthought! Just understand that the cone was far more ample before I made it back to my vehicle!

Stop by if you’re on Tybee looking for great ice cream, endless supply of candy, and family fun atmosphere. Really enjoyed the visit and they also have an affordable golf cart rental for those who really want to sight see and travel on Tybee.

I’d never been to an ice cream shop that doesn’t allow samples until we went to the Sugar Shack. Mind you this is when the store is completely empty in the beginning of March, not during the middle of August with a line out of the door where it would slow down the process.Sorbet was good but the smallest size I could get costed over $6, which is stout.

Tourist trap. Cheaply made but expensive trinkets, icecream, candy, and toys. You'll likely leave the place regretting spending your hard earned money there. None of it will be a worthwhile keepsake or memory during your vacation. Paid $20 for 2 small runny (watered down?) shakes made with mediocre icecream. The staff, however, was extremely friendly.

How preposterously presumptuous & histrionically haughty do you have to be to charge the prices you do or to have a mangy unkempt clueless bellicose failed ESL urchin/stoner run the register while residing in the home of “Leopold’s ice-cream” in quintessential middle America. None of the prices apply to any of the products as shown…2 pale & stale cherries on an already overpriced hot fudge sundae requites a $2 upcharge??? There is no sampling of any of the ice-cream flavors so as to say that your imagination of the taste should suffice. This kills the entire joyful experience/engagement of having ice-cream with your kids. An absolute pit, of renown only for the absence of meaningful competition & ripe for contempt & avoidance @ all costs, however exorbitant!!Nice deflection (“bullying” if you call it as it is & has been by several others) & equal parts cowardice (to hide behind your employee who’s nothing more than a reflection of you). The entire review, all of it, was directed at you (unnamed lily livered owner of the Crap Shack) and your exploitative, price gouging, fun quenching practices. My apologies to your employee for having to succumb to a vulture like you!

We adore The Sugar Shack! Incredible ice cream, welcoming staff, and the cutest outdoor seating. Our favorite ice cream was the Cookies and Cream. We also took advantage of the small shop area with different candies. We came several times during our week long trip and really enjoyed it.

Inflated priced Blue Bunny ice cream served mushy. Employee said "we're not fancy Leopold's Ice Cream" and that their cooler was acting up. Either way it's NOT HOMEMADE. Would be FAR better to make their own, brain-dead easy, a few flavors. Goodbye to the era of the $3 ice cream cone, welcome $7-9 cones of dispassionate tourist dessert. While they have cute chairs to sit on I won't be returning with my family.

Don’t listen to the poor reviews, this place is a gem. It’s VERY much an old piece of history but absolutely darling. The man working is spunky but kind. My coffee wasn’t burnt or scalding hot, which makes me very happy. Food for 7 came out incredibly quick and my croissant was perfectly flaky and delicious. Everyone loved their breakfast!

Loved this place! Definitely an expensive experience, but the staff were very nice and the ice cream was even better! I'm pretty sure its 24 flavors and they all looked yummy. I got a one scoop waffle cone, which honestly was like a two scoop, for $6.25ish dollars. Very good! I'd definitely eat here again, it's not too overpriced where I wouldn't come because it's to be expected, but the amount of ice cream they give you for one scoop is nice! They also have a little candy shop right next through a door on the other side of the shop where you can fill up bags of candy! That's really cool! Anyway, I recommend this place! It was clean, organized, and an overall good quality shop!

Basic menu and food but very good for what it is!! Had a good double cheeseburger and fries. It is all take out but there is a nice area with tables to sit outside.Service was excellent!!

The ice cream was decent and there was a good number of options but the kids here were CRAZY. Definitely a fun place to go if you have kids and it’s a great place for photos, but it was a very overwhelming experience!
