My husband and I went next door to the North Beach Bar & Grill- We came in around 1-2pm on a Thursday and sat at the bar outside. Staff seemed short staffed and slow. Received drinks when we arrived and then it took a while someone to come back and check on us. We both decided to go next door to the Salty Pelican and were not disappointed! The Mac n’ Cheese bites were cheesy and spicy! The chicken quesadilla was also so good! Definitely recommend!

We got 2 cheese burgers, 2 cheese sticks, and two sodas. Turned out to $30, and given that this place is in heavy tourist spots. It was decently priced. The food tasted really good, and the lady working there is very nice. The atmosphere in the area is laid back, and relaxing too.Definitely a great place to have a filling snack. 😁

This was a pleasant surprise....Located across the street from the Historic Tybee Lighthouse and on the grounds of Fort Screven...AT NORTH BEACH...THEE IS LOTS OF HANDICAPPED PARKING AND LOTS ON LIGHTHOUSE SIDE AS WELL AS THE OCEAN SIDE OF TH BUILDING....THERE ARE NICE CLEAN RESTROOMS, TRASH CAN SITES...THERE IS A HANDICAP RAMP !THE SALTY PELICAN HAS A EXCELLENT SHORT ORDER MENU FOR YOUNG AND OLD !!!ORDER TO GOOR OUTSIDE SEATING..!DARRELL HAS A DAILY LUNCH SPECIAL FOR $9TODAY , I HAD FRIED CHICKEN, CORN, AND FRIED OKRA....LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS MAMAS HOME COOKING GOOD. !Yepyep. The price is right AND THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE....!!!THE PALM TREES AND THE OCEAN BREEZE TURNS THE PORCH INTO A AWESOME ISLAND ATMOSPHERE TO CHILL WHILE YOU ENJOY YOUR MEAL!!!THE BIRDS WERE HUNGRY AND SO FRIENDLY, THEY ATE OUT OF MY HAND...THAT WAS SOOOO AWESOME !So if you are hungry and on Tybee...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you eat with DARRELL at the SALTY PELICAN .You wont be sorry !!Its all there. !!!I am looking g forward to THURSDAY AND HIS POT ROAST SPECIAL WITH THE TRIMMMMMMMNGS...YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY.

Actually turned out to be my favorite place we ate on this vacation. Everything we ordered was Fantastic!! Breaded chicken sandwich, burger, nachos and ice cream. Food was good enough I would have never expected it to come out of such a tiny pit stop place. Will go every time we go to north beach from now on!

Great experience, food was that classic fresh seafood that you want to get on a trip. Service was extremely personable and friendly. It was super busy but the atmosphere seemed chill and social at the same time. If you like a bar scene with food for your beer this is the place.

I work at the science center, nearby the Salty Pelican. On my lunch breaks, I walk over and get some food. The workers are all so nice and the food is surprisingly amazing. The chicken wrap is the best!

Don't bother-RUDE. We attempted to get lunch here. They only had tables on the side deck in the sun at a table with an umbrella. Ok, no problem. There were 4 of us, one side of the table did not have a chair, so I pulled a chair from another table over. I was told that I could not move any chairs because of social distancing rules. THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE ON THE SIDE DECK. They expected 2 of us to sit on one side of a 4 top, in the sun, leaving one shaded side unused. When we objected, they said blame the governor and told us to leave. We understand the need for social distancing. But they are clearly not understanding the meaning of the rules.

Seems a little pricy (about 30 for 2 hamburgers, 2 cheese sticks, and two Cokes), but I promise you that the quality of the good is WELL worth it! Please go here!
