We came here with a tour so I was expecting it to be a pretty mediocre spot and was happily wrong. This place is a gem and a definite stop on your way to Tybee Island. We ordered the Devil crab sandwich and devil crab platter. Both full of crab and flavor. I tried it with the signature sauces at the table and it was so delicious. I'm regretting not buying the BBQ sauce. On top of having good food, it's a cool place to visit and walk around. Between the alligator pit and chatty birds it's a fun place for the family.

Very lively place.Parking lot seemed full with no where to park but plenty of tables on the inside. Didn’t have to wait to be seated at all.Food was excellent. Our waitress was really good and always seem to be there right when you needed something.

This is hands down the best crab shack we've ever been to. Every time we visit Savannah, we get excited to come to this place for its freshly boiled crabs and fresh oysters. The ambiance is perfect for enjoying food and drinks, with indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff shows genuine Southern hospitality, and we highly recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood.

Good seafood in a fun atmosphere! You do get a lot for your money, in my opinion. Service was friendly and fast, but the food wasn’t as hot as I would have liked. Overall it was good. The seasoning was really great, not too salty. The key lime pie is a must! I almost forgot to take a picture because it was just so smooth and delicious. I would recommend if you’re coming to Tybee!I will say, don’t do the photo booth. It was not worth the $5 and is just a generic one.

Worth a stop. Dive in. Not for those don’t like to get their hands dirty. Cool swamp patio vibe. Super friendly service, especially if at the outdoor bar. Probably be better to share the 1person sampler with another than the 2 person, and add something else. Boozy lemonade. End with key lime pie with great graham cracker. Side note - the bbq sauce has surprisingly great favor.

This place is a must stop. Food was absolutely perfect. They have all kinds of fresh seafood here. The outdoor seating area has great views of the water. There is a bunch of cats walking around that are very friendly. They also have alligators you can feed with fishing poles. Don’t miss this place

Very fun and unique atmosphere! We loved sitting by the water and enjoying good seafood. The food was hot and fresh. They also have a cute gift shop with live exotic birds that you can see. They are all rescued birds and very beautiful.

Our food was cooked to perfection and as you can see we had plenty of it. Our trip to Tybee Island was worth it just to be able to have such a wonderful dinner. This was our 3rd time at The Crab Shack and I can't wait until we get to go back again!Kid-friendliness: They have a game room for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes and handicap parking too.

If you like soggy crab and shrimp this is your place. I've had better at all you can eat buffets. The crab was so soggy you couldn't break the shell. You could literally twist it all the way around in a circle and still wouldn't snap. The shrimp was just as bad. Seemed like it sat in boiling water until they pulled for an order. Definitely not worth the price for what the quality was. The waitress was decent and good atmosphere but not the food. Don't waste your money. Presentation was nice but deceiving.

Had a large party. The waitress was great and always checking in on us. The food came out quickly. Several in the party got the boils and they ate it all so you can tell it was good. I had the 1lbs peel and eat shrimp and clams. The shrimp was very flavorful and plentiful. The clams lacked any taste just like they were just boiled in water. Overall good experience for such a large group. Will return again.

You’d better like crab! Mostly crab, shellfish, and bbq. Not many choices otherwise. We had peel and eat shrimp. Unfortunately I had a hankering for a fried shrimp basket. Everything was steamed or boiled. Isolated place en route to Tybee Island beach that was Included in our Grey Line Tybee Island tour. Fun round wood table with hole in the middle to toss your shells in the trash. Baby Alligators to see. Touristy.

Spacious facility toaround. Food was good and seasoned, which didn't look like it at all, but when you ate the food, all types of good flavors! I was skeptical at first when i saw the plate looking bland. I didn't need any other seasonings. We ate the 5 people captain platter: shrimp, mussells, crab, potatoes, corn, sausage etc......... Alot of food. It was 6 of us and we only needed a 3 person plate so be mindful it's a lot of food!Unfortunately we decided to go when there was quite a bit of mosquitos, flies and Nats due to the weather. Weather was getting warmer, and it rained. But we still enjoyed the food inside, which was nothing like outside. They have an alligator exhibit and birds exhibit, which was interesting. We had a decent size group, so we didn't have to wait for a very long time to be seated. The restrooms were clean! Overall service at the table could have been better. Felt like the waiter didn't come to the table maybe 3 times total - we had to find her twice and ask another waiter for some assistance, but she was nice and pleasant when she was around.Parking: Plenty of space to parkKid-friendliness: Family environment. They should have a kids menu as well.

Our table was pretty gross, our waiter was grumpy, the crab was okay, but it was overpriced, the butter tasted artificial, the potatoes bland. Don’t let this be your “one” crab meal of your trip, Charleston Crab House (Shem Creek) was SO much better. The good parts about The Crab Shack were the outside view, the Gator lagoon, and the cats walking around.

The most imaginative part about this place is the alligator lagoon; food is the least(the featured item being crabs from a different ocean than the one we were visiting should have been a dead giveaway, alas, it was on the way to our hotel). Boiled shrimp (in the 31-40 range) were served with only a sprinkle of old bay and little else, not even a wedge of lemon. The crab stew is made like a clam chowder, very starchy, but very bland; a dash of sherry could have gone a long way. At least the menu graphics were playful and our waitress was nice.Parking: Gravel lot, tight at places.

This is a really fun restaurant. The vibe is fantastic, the location is fun. The food is mostly shrimp boil type fare. Our party was not for the food, just not our type of thing. Our waitress was great, but difficult to find when we needed refills or our check. The outside seating is in their aviary. We asked to be moved, as birds pooped on our table twice before we received our drinks. We had the deviled crab, shack crab stew, Brunswick stew, boiled shrimp (peel and eat), shrimp salad sandwich, and hot dog :). We also had their side sausage, smashed potatoes, coleslaw, and potato salad. The shack stew was ok, the shrimp salad sandwich was enjoyed, and the potato salad lovely. The remainder we found just ok.

The atmosphere is awesome! Great family friendly experience. My husband absolutely loved the blue crab sandwich. The rest of us found our food to be okay and a little expensive for what we got. The view is absolutely beautiful! They offer indoor/outdoor dining and both were crazy hot, understandable being at the beach but also noteworthy. The place is huge and very decorative! Lots of statues and even an arcade. Feeding the gators was definitely affordable and our kids loved the experience. Overall, would definitely go back if we visit the area again.

Great place for seafood. They enjoying messy seafood down to an art form with trash bins in the center of the table. I thought I would be disappointed when I found out they don’t serve French Fries but everything was so delicious we didn’t miss them.Parking: Plenty of parking but it does fill up quickly.
