We were staying near this place and gave it a try for a quick eat in morning. It’s not expensive, but we didn’t like the food though. Probably famous for a breakfast buffet in $12. We didn’t try buffet and ordered few items. It was okay and average. I would not say it disappointed because we were expecting it to be avg based on reviews and pictures.

We came across this restaurant as a must stop when in Tybee Island.Parking- Depending on when you get there, you may find on-street parking, but they also have a parking lot, that is also shared with a pay for parking. So make sure you let them know you are dining at Sunrise, so you don’t pay or get towed.When you walk in, it reminds of a scaled down Old Country Buffet, in a small town. We were seated almost immediately in their back room, which was cool because you were away from the bulk of people passing by for the buffet.Food - we opted for ordering our food a la carte, as the buffet didn’t peak our interest. We figured for $12.95 (buffet), we could get our meals prepared fresh. We opted for pancakes (buttermilk and blueberry), fruit platter, toast, chicken tenders and fries.Service - The service was fast as almost as soon as our waiter took our order, she returned with our food (technology). Our waiter was very attentive.Atmosphere- although not on the water, the restaurant is literally a block away from the beach and steps from the Main Street of shopping stores.Menu attached.** Location closes at 2or 3pm.

The breakfast buffet on the weekends might be my favorite place in all of Georgia. $12.95 and all you can eat. Where else can you get that?! Nowhere!You may have to wait, but it is worth it. I would wait an hour, happily.

this place didn't win me over i ordered the turkey sandwich and it was a large very good sandwich. my brother got the chicken and waffles and he liked my son got the pancakes and liked them. so the breakfast buffet was terrible my husband's biscuit was raw in the middle the bacon was half cooked and half burned and the gravy tasted( wired I was told). it was like they just threw a bunch of food on to cook fast to keep it filled up and didn't care about the quality of it. the menu stuff was really good but the buffet stuff wasn't worth the money.Parking: paid parking across the street we arrived early and their was plenty but as the day went it filled up being on the beach.

Most of my party enjoyed their food, but I clearly ordered the wrong thing. I had a grilled chicken breakfast. Sadly, the chicken was dry and tough and the hash browns that came with it had the taste and nearly the consistency of shredded paper 😔. Stick with the grits and breakfast meats. Thankfully, the scrambled eggs and toast were good. The interior has seen better days, but we were at the beach, after all, so all their revenue is likely going into rent and insurance.

A very nice breakfast spot. Service was excellent. The place was packed, but we only waited about 10 minutes. We had the breakfast buffet. Quick and easy to grab and go for our two kids. The food was great. Plenty of options for everyone to get something they like.

I'm warning u guys, they have big burgs! Also my friends is a waffle house connoisseur and said the chocolate milk is better than waffle house's. It just tastes a bit more flavorful to me ngl.Also if u get the shrimp and grits, ask for cheese with itKid-friendliness: This place will make kids happy, and the waitresses and waiters are amazing and kindWheelchair accessibility: Its on the side door, that's how my sister was able to get in.

Service and atmosphere is standard for the type of restaurant Sunrise is. It was clean and orderly. Order was made to-go, basic breakfast of eggs, grits and toast. Although the expectation was not gourmet, it was unappetizing to open the container and see all the food items haphazardly thrown in, especially with the toast soggy from sitting in grits. Eggs are shelled which is definitely appreciated but could have been scrambled better. Perhaps the dine-in service is better.

There was a wait but they use Yelp to manage the wait and it was short. The place was full of customers but they have a good crew hustling. I had the BELT, with easy egg and it was delivered fresh and it was good. My wife had the bacon stuffed waffle, she enoyed it as well. They have 3 other locations and would go back to other spots in the future.

Great place to get breakfast made fresh. I had the salmon cheese omelette my wife had that big sandwich. How much is a omelette with grits was very good she said the egg sandwich was OK but we forgot to grab ketchup because we had our order to go. I’m sure she would’ve liked it more if we had catch up. The place was packed and people seem like they were enjoying themselves.

This is the better of the 2 restaurants on the beach ⛱️. We ate at the one across the street that has been there for many years. However, the new owner has bought up the whole block and apparently he's using the restaurant's profit to make the restorations on the rest of the property. So therefore the food is sky high. Both restaurants have great food, cooks and waitress.The kitchen here as you can see in the pictures is kind of like a waffle House/Huddle House set up, so you can watch your food being prepared if you'd like. This one's cleaner more up to date because the owners put the money back into their restaurant. Coffee ☕ here taste a lot better, not sure if it's the pipes or coffee ☕ maker.I will be back.

I had a great breakfast. I asked the manager at my hotel if she had a choice between The Breakfast Club and Sunrise, which would she choose. She recommended Sunrise. And, it didn't disappoint. I got the Big Breakfast with 3 eggs, grits, bacon, sausage and 2 pancakes, I added a side of toast. It was out quick. Everything cooked perfectly and they don't have a limit on the refills of coffee like The Breakfast Club does (one refill). I also chose Sunrise BECAUSE the BC only let's you have one refill, and it's $4.25. Who limits refills at a restaurant. Anyway, Sunrise was a great choice, and I got TWO refills. Imagine that.Parking: Paid lot need to put receipt on dashboard.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to families.

Diner style breakfast, opens nice and early, seems to get busy right around when most the rest of the island starts waking up. Seat yourself if it's early/ not too busy. Good way to fill up before heading to the water.Buffet wasn't available yesterday; we may have been too early, or it's just a weekend thing? Drink refills were fast enough, servers were busy but nice overall, making sure to check on us at least once after food arrived. Food didn't take too long either day, and the chicken and waffles is the bomb. The chocolate chip pancakes were a little chewy yesterday, but the breakfast sandwich today was really good. The coffee was meh, but at least the bathrooms are pretty clean and the location is convenient for walking.

The Sunrise looks like a typical diner. I could be more inviting if was a bit cleaner.We have breakfast there and all was good. My French toast with raisin and cinnamon, topped with bacon was excellent and very well done. The coffee tasted okay and comes with free refill.I would not hesitate to eat here again.

Long morning, so didn’t make it for breakfast meals until after 1. I am so grateful to you all for allowing my family & I to dine and being very kind to us. My morning was awful and I was tired, very frustrated, and starving. The staff is polite and the waitress was so nice, the food was very fresh and neatly presented, even though we arrived so late. Thank you all for our meal, before we had to depart our vacation. 12/27/22. And thank you so much for free parking!!Parking: Free parking on side of building

Great breakfast find on Tybee. They did a great job with masks and social separation. The server was attentive and friendly. They have a nice buffet which I haven't seen elsewhere since Covid started. The food quality is very good. The place is very clean as is the men's room. Get there early.
