There were five of us in our group, and we ordered a variety of items from the menu. We arrived about 11:15am, and were promptly greeted and seated. The fried pickles were delicious, fish and chips, and chicken wrap were also good. However, the hamburger plate that was requested as well done was cooked closer to medium than well. We rarely send anything back when dining out but just could not eat it cooked like that. The waitress promptly took it back to the kitchen and the order was redone. However, when the order was returned, the burger was very dry and overcooked even for well done. And the fries that accompanied it were mostly very hard. The others in the group had finished eating when the burger plate was returned which was a little frustrating since Tybee has a pay for parking policy. The waitress was very prompt in providing refills and did apologize for the mix up with how the burger was cooked.Overall most of the food was good and the service excellent.

A group of 4, we had the grouper, shrimp, hamburger and salads. The waitress was super, food was pretty good, however my Wife ordered a strawberry daquiri and with just one sip she said it definitely didn't taste like a daquiri. We let the waitress know so she took it back then returned and said the Manager said we would have to pay for it anyway. We were quite surprised and told her we didn't think that was right however being older folks we said we understood it wasn't her fault. We paid the full bill with tip without further discussion. We feel fairly certain we have made our last trip to Tybee Island and Spanky's.Parking: Expensive to us.

Good bar grub right on the beach. The chicken fingers are as good as advertised. I went with the fish and chips, which was good as well. The spuds are basically sliced fried potatoes. The batter is the same as the use for the chicken. Go with that as opposed to the regular fries.

This was the worst place we ate at while on vacation! The service was good, but the food was horrendous. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here to eat. We started with hot bread and cheese…nastiest thing ever. Just picture that you go to the grocery store, pick up some loaf bread from the deli, not toasted, crispy or buttery, and slap it on a plate with some generic cheese sauce, and tah-dah…you have Spankys hot bread and cheese. The entrees weren’t much better, tasteless. The spuds were disgusting. Everything tasted like old grease. Do yourself a favor and keep walking past this place…don’t waste your money!

Wonderful place to grab dinner and drinks. Went with my family and had an great time. The food was awesome (especially the spuds) and the service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend the fish and chips those were fantastic! Going to have to come back soon! Thanks!

Very casual but terrific beach side restaurant on Tybee Island, near Savannah. Quick friendly service by excellent staff. The grouper sandwich was crispy and juicy and delicious. It came with spuds or fries, I chose spuds. Thinly sliced potatoes battered and fried. Kinda like a big potato chip, but softer and delicious. They claim to have the original chicken tenders, I don't know about that, but they were the best we've ever had. Very "tender" hence the name. The steak wrap could've had more steak, but it was terrific anyway. My daughter tore into her grilled shrimp with gusto, they didn't stand a chance. My other daughter opted out of seafood and had an excellent fettuccine alfredo. Creamy and delicious. Again, no room for dessert.

Shrimp Po Boy is delicious!! Grouper fingers, grilled chicken wrap, and spuds also very tasty. Portions for kids were a litttle small, but the adults were happy with their portions. Overall price was right. Just bring your patience especially if you’re from the North.

The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the location prime! I had the shrimp po-boy and my husband had the crab cake burger. Both were delicious. (I wouldn't recommend the bread and cheese however; though the bread it's good, it's just paired with cheap back cheese.) Regardless, I will definitely be back!

Wow, an awesome place. It's got a great interior, friendly staff, good door and good prices. I had the crab cake stacked burger with their in-house made spuds. Their chipped potatoes that are battered and fried. My wife had the shrimp po boy. We ended up switching half way through our sandwiches. I recommend both, but especially the shrimp stacked po boy sandwich. We also had their hot bread and cheese as an appetizer. It was great. Slightly off because it reminds of the cheese you get for nachos, from a theater. I'm not putting it down, it just what I was reminded of. Still good.

A pleasant surprise! Spur of the moment decision to have dinner here. Our waitress (Mandy?) was phenomenal! She was friendly, informative, patient and efficient. We appreciated her help with our choices. The chicken fingers and spuds were delicious! The Tybee Blue Moon was very good as well. The interior is really nice. Love the stained glass pieces and the natural wood. We will definitely be back before leaving Tybee.

First off, our waitress, Taylor was amazing! The spuds are so simple, yet SO delicious. Their fried mushrooms are the best I've ever had, but I didn't love the fried scallops. My husband had the grouper bites and he loved them.

Home of the original Chicken Finger, try them with a side of Spuds (beer batter fried potato slices). NOT your average chicken finger. Service was excellent, (Donavan, did a great job), great laid back atmosphere, right on the ocean.

We love Spanky's! We ended up eating there two nights. The island does not have a lot of variety of food. Spanky's definitely has the most variety for the best price. We had great servers both times! Very nice and helpful! The first time our food was out very quickly! The second time we went it took 40 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food! We got a burger and a wrap so it wasn't that it took long to cook our food. She kept saying they were behind but that is such a long time to wait. Get their spuds. You won't regret it.

I ate so much it hurts! We got the fried vegetable platter appetizer and it was massive. For two people we got the large and we couldn't even finish it and was stuffed before our food got there. Would have gotten the small if I knew there was so much of it.Got the alfredo which was better than I expected. But the best thing there were the spuds, which you could get instead of fries. They were round cut potato slices battered and fried. I could have eaten nothing but those.

This is a very nice place to go eat or have drinks. The food there was very good I had a rib eye and Shrimp. It was cooked to perfection. The wait staff were very friendly and all in all it was a good experience.

Cool place right near the beach. They claimed that the chicken fingers were "world famous" and I agree, they were really good. Get the "spuds" over French fries. Spuds are basically potato chips that are dipped and fried in the same chicken finger patter. Definitely different, but worth it.

All the food was nice and hot - the shrimp po-boy cripispyly delicious. Of course, the potato spuds were very good. Plenty of different flavor sauces.Dietary restrictions: Our server Chris was very helpful in checking with the kitchen staff on dairy ingredients that we have allergies to.
