The room was nice, clean, and in good repair. The bathtub tap needs securing though. The check-in was very efficient, friendly, and helpful. The pool was easily accessible and I liked the outdoor hangout patio at the annex building.

Not honest about how they run this hotel. All the nice pictures are from the front half. Rooms in back half are much older, dirtier, so small you can almost touch wall to wall, and they have the fridge and microwave shoved in the closet because there's barely any room to walk. Beds hard as a rock. I've stayed all over the US and these were the only beds I've slept on that were harder than the floor. It's also not on the beach or even beachfront as stated. There is no free breakfast as stated. All this for $500 for two nights when Hotel Tybee has the exact same price actually being on the beach and not being a rundown dump. Only positive was the nice receptionist.

Great owners, friendly and gave great food recommendations. Our room was perfect for sleeping between beach time and site seeing. We loved being able to walk to the beach, downtown, and the pier, nothing was more than a 3 min walkRooms: I love the balcony in our room, with two queen beds, overlooking the pool.Walkability: Short walk to the beach, downtown, restaurants, and the pier.

We just finished up a night at the Dunes on Tybee Island and it was perfect! The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and spacious, we are not generally walkers but it was perfect walking distance to great restaurants and shops, plus a nice quick walk to the beach! Can't beat it, couldn't recommend it more.

Great location. Right across the street from beach. The room was relatively clean.... considering it's an older hotel. Pillows were fluffy sheets looked clean (no blue light to be sure) but to naked eye clean. I took my fur baby... was not fun for her... dogs are not Allowed on beach...omg I can't. And for those reasons I'm not sure I'll be back. The drive was way too long from Atlanta to not be able to take my baby to the beach. But if you're retired. No dogs with you. Perfect chill beach vaca. Thank you Sanannah... 🤭Nearby activities: Yeah plenty of activities the hotel will be happy to offer a map to get aroundWalkability: Plenty of things to walk to.Food & drinks: Some restaurants to frequent depending on your taste

My sister, daughter, and I had a great girls weekend this past weekend. The room was clean and the bathroom was huge. There was even plenty of room for a roll away in our room. The pool water was refreshing and clean.Joy and the rest of the staff made our stay super easy. They were fun to talk and joke with. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel.

Do not recommend..place is a dump..for $135 you can get a extremely nice hotel room in savanna just 20 minute drive. This room was $265 per night and was a waste of money. Would have rather slept in my car. The baseboards were all rotten. The ac is a window until that didn't cool properly. There is absolutely no parking. The bed is like sleeping on plywood. The towels were stained. The TV is a tiny 24 inch.I highly recommend not staying here

Had an extended stay here for over a week. Basic but comfortable rooms (rooms in the main/front building are a little bigger than the annex). Dog friendly, which is a plus. All hotel staff from the front desk to housekeeping were friendly and welcoming. Joy at reception was especially helpful. The location was great, being only a few blocks from the beach and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in an upstairs room in the main building that had recently been redone. From the outside the building looked nice, the staff was very nice and helpful. I picked this hotel due to positive reviews from the recent renovations along with the walking proximity to a seafood restaurant and the beach. Now about the room. The pros: room was nice and clean; microwave and mini fridge were in good working order; bathroom was immaculate; the sink in the kitchenette was very helpful. The cons: I think the thermostat was broken on the heater - it wouldn't turn off and kept heating up the room even with the thermostat set at 55°; the walls are VERY thin - my 9 year old and I heard almost all the conversations of the people in the next room until almost midnight; the door seals are not that good particularly out onto the balcony - with the door shut and locked you could feel the 40° air blowing in all around the door; if you get a room with the door facing the road you also very easily hear the road traffic noise.Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep even tho I was exhausted. It was due to a combination of the noisy neighbors, faulty heater, and road noise. Would I stay here again? Honestly, I'm not sure - if the price was right and we could get a room on the back side probably.

We are currently here. After a long travel, we got here at night and I was only disappointed and disgusted. Our floors were dirty, especially our bathroom was. There was hair everywhere and even the towels were kind of brown. I was so sad, because I was super tired, but didn’t even want to sleep in the bed or shower in this nasty room. Our blanket got holes or burn marks and it’s got brown everywhere. The room looks kind of messed up and not welcoming. I am unhappy here and I wouldn’t recommend it. Because of my service animal, which is a mini Chihuahua, we didn’t get room service at all. We bought our own cleaning material, before sleeping another night in this mess. It’s not really relaxing, if you have to clean like home, or even more. I am sad. I miss being home right now so much, because it’s really not clean. I am happy, when we are outside, since the weather is pretty good here, but as soon as I get back to the motel, I only want to find somewhere else. I am really sad and I don’t know what to do about this.

Check in was easy and pleasant. We got the king room in the unit across the street. Yes the hotel is old but it was freshly painted, clean grounds, pool and area to sit and chat with other guests or play cornhole that was provided. Our room was spacious, very clean and we were very pleased. Linens and pillows were fresh and appeared new or very well taken care of. Hotel is well in walking distance of anything you need. Also a couple blocks from the pier. We appreciated the fact that we didnt have to pay $3.50 an hr to park anywheres on the island. Our car never left the hotel. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We stayed at dunes inn & suites 4/10-4/15. First two nights were great. You can tell the rooms are older and out of date for the price we paid and the bed wasn’t that comfortable. On the 3rd night, we found mold in the bathroom (do have pictures for reference) and the people above us were so loud we didn’t go to sleep until 1 am. I believe they had checked in on our 3rd night. My fiancé even went up to the front desk to see if they could talk to them around 11:30 that night but I don’t think that the lady working that night cared enough to call them. I understand people are vacationing and having fun but 1 am is a bit extreme. Mind you, this was our baby moon as we are waiting the arrival of our son in May so we wanted to enjoy it. The next morning we then talked to the front desk about the mold and the thin flooring so we were moved to a different room. The lady was very generous but said NOTHING about the mold in the bathroom and then proceeded to place an elderly couple in that same room no more than 2 hours after we had moved our things and the housekeeper had cleaned the room. Then, when we got into our other room, 1/4 of the door was ripped off, the left side of the bed was broken to where it felt like you were about to fall off of it and the floor was covered in sand and dirt. We didn’t even go to the beach when we moved into our second room. I have never complained and felt more dirty about staying at a hotel like I have this one. The only great thing was the location and how it’s walking distance to just about everything in tybee.
