Real cozy and quiet only a block from the water, ocean view from the front balcony, nice breeze up there too. It's a cute place with all the old house charm. Very nicely kept up. And renters were quick to communicate over any concerns. Also nicely lit common area outside to gather at night. You won't be disappointed with your stay. Better breeze and views if you can grab an upstairs room on the street side.

I'm so happy with my stay at the 17th Street Inn! It is close to everything but tucked away so it's still peaceful. It's a quick walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. I had great communication with our host. She was so sweet, very accommodating, and quick to respond. I loved my second story patio and the beautiful courtyard with outdoor showers to use after coming home from the beach. The kitchen was a great size for me and my husband and I really loved the bed. It was king sized and sooo comfy. Added to the blackout curtains I had the best night sleep I have had in awhile. I will definitely be booking again in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was clean, quiet and so conveniently located to everything! The beach is less than a block away, it's in walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops - we barely had to drive anywhere. They included a parking pass for public parking and street parking was easy to find out front (definitely easier to find in the early part of the day or the evening - it seemed busier in the afternoon!). Having the porch area off of the room was so nice and the patio area in the back was super cute! The hosts were so friendly and super communicative with lots of helpful info. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Tybee!

Overall, this was a charming and convenient place to stay on Tybee and I will certainly look to stay here when I come back. I booked my stay through AirBnB and stayed for a couple nights right before Christmas, when an unusually cold snap blew through. There were a couple of very minor issues that Jan was already working on fixing when I arrived. The 1-bedroom apartment I stayed in was very nicely appointed, with a very well-equipped kitchen, spacious and well-maintained bathroom, and a wonderful front porch that I didn't get to use due to the very cold conditions. Entry is easy but secure and access to the shops and beach is extremely convenient, just about a block away for both things. I really appreciated the great communication I got from the hosting team. I hope to come back soon!

In a word: no.Yes, the location is perfect, the AC worked well, and the décor is cute, but those are the only positives. The first bad sign was making the reservation. There's very little info--not even terms & conditions--available as you're completing the reservation. They make you pay 100% up front, then send you a follow-up email saying no refunds or credits under any circumstances and recommend you purchase travel insurance that costs as much as 2 or 3 nights at their "inn." LOL. More fool me for going through with purchasing our stay despite the lack of transparency on the reservation site. I'm feeling very fortunate our plans didn't need to change! When we arrived, we couldn't get into our room. We had been emailed a lockbox code but no idea which lockbox the code belonged to. We called the inn number, but no one picked up. They finally got back to us nearly half an hour later. The woman I spoke to was very sweet, but said she was in Atlanta?? Atlanta is nearly five hours away from Tybee. No matter how nice she was, the delay in response plus her literal absence made it very clear we were all on our own should we encounter another problem at the property. (Need more towels? Fresh set of sheets? TOO BAD.)They provide exactly one physical key with no other method to access your room. So if you're staying with a partner, the only way to come & go independently is to keep the key in the lockbox outside and have to futz with it each time you enter & exit. (The door itself did have an electronic number pad lock, which would have been great, but apparently it's not in use. Is it because it would be too much work to change the code between each reservation? Who knows!)The bed was not comfy. It felt firm at first, but became lumpy and mishapen after you had laid down for a little while. No idea why these other reviews say the beds are comfy unless some of the other rooms have different mattresses. Cheap, uncomfortable furniture everywhere. Very "got this on sale from Wayfair" vibes. There was a full kitchen, but not a full set of cookware and utensils. They don't provide pantry staples like cooking oil, which is fine! But the kitchen was otherwise too barebones to be functional even if you did bring all of your own ingredients. So yeah, skip this place unless you like to play it risky.Rooms: Beautiful hardwood floors with cheap, uncomfortable furniture. Lame mattress, very squeaky bed frame.Nearby activities: The beach is half a block awaySafety: I hope they change the lockbox code in between reservations, but I have no idea if they do.Walkability: Terrific, easy walkability to the beach, restaurants, bars, and shops

This was our first trip here. This place is adorable, aesthetically! It is very small, but was fine for two adults. The door is very hard to open, close, and lock. It is an old building that has been renovated (you can tell by the doors and windows). We got used to it! The location was perfect for us. Very easy walk to the beach and bars, restaurants, even a coffee shop (but they have a coffee maker in the kitchen as well as a blender and toaster)! There is only one small skillet, so if you plan on cooking, I’d bring a bigger one, but again we made it work with the pots and pans provided. You are only given two towels/wash clothes and 2 rolls of toilet paper so I packed extra for us (which was good because one of the provided ones was dirty)! The building is definitely not sound proof, you can hear above you and outside. The bed is so comfortable, sheets and blankets super soft! There is spotty service on the island depending on your carrier, nothing terrible, it just comes and goes, which is kind of nice if you wanna unplug. They do have a shared outdoor area with Jenga and corn hole, lots of seats, and a grill. Loved that! But you also have your private porch (we stayed in #2). The other guests were very nice. We were a little worried about the parking, this street wasn’t super busy when we were there but we were very thankful for the parking pass. That is a huge plus for this place (and it’s why we picked it)! We really enjoyed our stay and this area! Highly recommend going into Savannah for a break from the beach, this was the only time we had to pay for parking (it is a busy city but lots of fun). We love Georgia now!

Spacious and clean, comfortable room with very good amenities. The property is well kept and the location is ultra convenient, just steps from the beach, restaurants and shops. Management is also very responsive, tending to requests almost in real time. This was our second stay and certainly not the last. We feel at home there. The free parking pass is icing on the cake.

We had a great time on Tybee island and the 17th street inn was the perfect place to stay. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and had a great deck with ocean views. The inn is close to the beach, restaurants and downtown…but just far enough that it’s quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend!!!!

Perfect location on the south end of the island, with the grocery and a wide assortment of restaurants within walking distance. Studio-style with bedroom, bath and full kitchen. Parking pass is a huge benefit as the entire island is metered. Each has its own set of porch chairs, and a couple beach chairs in the closet. At first I was disappointed that there was no common living room to gather for breakfast or to have a drink…but theI realized it was simply outside in the back, a covered large veranda with flowering vines, a grill, a couple swings a little grouping of chairs. People passing by would stop and comments constantly. We arrived early in the week and it was tranquil with the beach relaxed and beautiful sunsets at the southern tip. On weekends, the island transforms with a veritable sea of people on every street leading to the beach. Parking is crazy (so you may want to stay put or have an putting that brings you home after dark). It was nice to be able to retreat to the back veranda when the crowds got heavy.

When my wife saw this Inn online she told me that she want to check-in. Booking online was easy and Jenny is accommodating to my inquiries. We stayed in Room 4 and my wife loved the porch area. It has a water view and is just 120 steps from the beach. it was also near some good stuff; resto, the lighthouse and of course, the beach. The free parking pass was a delightful addition. We could not wait to come back for our 2023 wedding anniversary.

My wife and stayed there for five nights last week after a three night stay in the Historic District. We stayed in Unit 2. The king size bed was amazingly comfortable. It had a full kitchen complete with a dishwasher, microwave, full size stove, coffee maker, and full size refrigerator. It was an easy walk to the beach. Literally about a football field or less to walk. The unit also comes included with an island wide parking pass that is valid in ALL Tybee owned public parking spaces. That's worth about $40 a day. It's safe to say this is our new go to on Tybee. Can't wait to go back. Jenny is very pleasant and accommodating.

Everything was perfect! 5 stars all the way around!! Location, value, cleanliness, you name it. Outstanding communication and great to deal with. If you’re looking for a perfect beach getaway in Tybee this is the place!! Steps from the beach, shops, restaurants, you name it. The only reason I hesitate to write a review is we don’t want this place booked all the time so we can come back!!

What a great place! We loved staying at 17th Street Inn for a week. We stayed in #5. Our room was small but it was perfect for us. Super comfy bed, nice sized tv, great little kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, little refrigerator, dishwasher and a toaster oven and a little bathroom. The shower had really nice water pressure. We had a incredible little patio outside our room with a couple of Adirondack chairs. It was one our favorite places to relax during our stay. 17th Street Inn has a beautiful, large common space patio. Our room was located in the back. We'd walked through the patio to get to our room. It's like a little oasis. So pretty. But the location was the star of the show. A block from the beach. Two blocks from the bars, restaurants and shops on Tybrissa Street. We'd loved staying at 17th Street Inn. It's a special place. We'd definitely stay here again.

A renovated inn that made us feel invited and comfortable. The room was clean. Staff is not on sight, but easy to contact. Very friendly and helpful. A comfortable King size bed, bathroom with shower. Kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher, table and chairs. Pet friendly. The balcony in our room had the best oceanview in the inn. Upstairs, room 4 had a semi private balcony. This was not a shared balcony, but there was an opening in the partition for our neighbors to also see an ocean view. The inn is set up with 4 rooms on the front of the building and 4 in the back. There is a lovely, pink flamingo colored courtyard for us to share. A grill that can be used. Three porch swings, and many more seating options. We highly recommend this inn. You are a block from a gorgeous beach, many places to eat, drink and shop. Park your car using the pass the inn provides you with and plan to walk, ride a bike or we saw golf carts.Looking forward to a return stay at the inn.

I spent several days in the “solo traveler” room at the end ofJune. It was tiny, but cute and exactly as described and shown in the photos. It was kind of a last minute trip, so I was happy to find any room. I loved the proximity to the beach and shops, and really enjoyed the outdoor shared space. I plan to visit again when I need some beach time.

The room that we were given had a moldy smell. It was tiny and overpriced. We received terrible customer service. The itchy gnats/mosquitoes outsidemade it impossible for us to enjoy the (nice) exterior deck area where we fled to, in order to get fresh air since the air in the small room was intolerably stuffy, smelly and stale. Windows aren't allowed to be opened due to "gnats" "mosquitoes" and high humidity. There were no visible screened doors or windows. There seems to be problems with the electricity in the place. Unfortunately, we found this sad place on airbnb where we were seeking to rent a privately owned apartment (in order to minimize exposure with others due to the current pandemic) but were duped because they listed this rental under a woman's first name and I had no idea that this was a commercial property. We paid about $290. Even if we would have stayed there, this is still way too expensive for what they offered in early December. Despite risking a loss of our payment of $290 we decided to rent another room elsewhere because it was too uncomfortable for both of us: Mold smell upon entry to tiny room on 2nd Fl. Water damage stains on ceiling, probably roof leaking water. And they refused to provide a refund telling me that I should have read the description of this property on Airbnb where people are warned not to open windows due to gnats misquotes and high humidity...

Booked through Airbnb a few weeks before our trip. On the day of, right as we were supposed to check in, we got a call from them saying there was a plumbing problem and that we weren’t able to stay the weekend. They tried to force us to take an alteration to one of their Savannah properties, but we refused. We went and knocked on the door of what was supposed to be our condo/room, and found someone else already occupying it. There was no plumbing problem. They double booked and then fed both us and Airbnb lies about why they cancelled. Thanks guys for ruining our weekend!

We had a great experience at the 17th Street Inn. We stayed in room 1, and when we arrived there it was very clean and welcoming. We had a slight issue with our cable, but it was resolved very quickly. The staff there has a great response time! We will plan to stay there again the next time we visit Tybee!
