Good hardware / building supply store with a great selection of the things a homeowner or contractor would need. The lumber is not always top quality. Lots of #2 barked up boards and many are crooked. I would not mention the quality of the wood if it were cheaper than Lowes or Home Depot, but their #2 lumber prices are close to the top quality lumber prices at the larger stores. Apart from the lumber issues, everything else is good. The employees of this store are helpful and polite.

While this store may not have the total sf or have the total selection that a huge big box store has, I love this place as my 1st choice because of the people. They are warm and friendly and helpful simply because they are! Sometimes at those other places you can tell it is being done because of "policy".And besides, this place, while being smaller in size it has almost everything you would need for typical home build and repair needs !

My hubby and dad who had never been there before stopped there to get a bag of fertilizer and the young fellow thought they were trying to steal it and came running behind them. He asked what did they need and my hubby told himWhat he needed. The fellow said sarcastically “You can get it once you pay for it.”I told my hubby I would've left and went somewhere else. Everybody doesn't steal and making the assumption that they are is ridiculous!

went into the store yesterday morning to look for some paint and the girl behind the counter was playing Uno, a card game while we talked to her. She was very rude and not helpful at all and continued to play with the cards as we talked. I was shocked by the lack of helpfulness from this girl, and when I asked her if she could make a particular color she was not interested at all in helping us. We left. This has happened several times in the past, and we keep saying that we will not go back to this store, but this time, we are done. We drove to another store in the area where they were helpful and we got the paint we needed.

This location has a little bit of everything for your different skills. They have everything from bird seed to concrete and wood. They also sell 3x5 American flags. The customer service I receive here is always informative. The gentlemen in the back have a large amount of vast knowledge. I will continue to come back to this Ace Hardware due to how welcoming they are and how much they are willing to help you.

Clean store, friendly staff - always ask if they can assist. Selection of items is good but limited due to the small size of the store. Price, they are awfully proud of their products as their prices are high compared to the big box stores. Need a few items, what you pay in the higher prices would probably equal what you'd spend in gas going to Augusta. Large orders... drive to the big box stores in Augusta for better savings.

This is your small home town store located in Thomson, GA. They have a great selection of products from timber to plumbing to pool stuff. They have a little bit of everything. The prices are a little higher than you big box stores but it saves you from having to drive 30 miles to Augusta. Staff is friendly and will help you the best they can. They also have plants and seasonal products as well.

I started going here a few months ago when I moved to the area and have been very satisfied. Staff is very friendly and helpful, good selection of items and inventory is maintained, lumber yard materials are pretty decent and delivery charge is very reasonable.

I was so pleased to discover this store near my new home in Harlem. I have gotten tired of driving all the way to Augusta to go to home Depot or Lowe's. The store is well stocked and the staff is very helpful. The folks in the lumber yard were very patient with my questions and helped me load my order. I will return to Culpepper often.

I always try to buy local but when they tried to charge me $93 for 10 2nd grade 8 foot 2x4s and 2 Chinese hinges I had to go to home depot! Got 3 times the wood and the hinges for $77.00 You got to do better guys!

Man working on the paint department completely ignored me. He was sitting on a stool having an extended gabfest with another employee and two customers. I waited 15 minutes and was never acknowledged or spoken to. The cashier did come help me when I asked. I know he saw me because he glared at me several times. All I needed was to have paint put in the shaker. It was obvious that I was not welcome.

Generally good. Raymond Adams and and David are most knowledgeable and helpful. The younger guy that I see inn paints odd good. Most department look good but, lawn and garden is a dusty mess, poorly stocked. Items that are sold - ie, upright air compressor all of a sudden disappeared and I was assured that 2 more in the back in stock. When I went in after saving a little more to purchase, about 3 days later, all were gone.none in back or in stock. So, I asked and was told they could order it and my reply was if not there, I could not purchase and did NOT want ordered for me, I might change my mind. But ìf it was too be a stock item, sure order it. But not for me for I would be looking elsewhere to get one that day. Not a week later. Battery stock is very slack for a hardware store. Alkaline to lithium to to garage door opener battery. Just not stocked as it should be. I Adm no expert on a hardware store and if wrong, I apologize. THESE are items, among others, I see that are General hardware items, so I thought.

Tried to return drill bits for Mama but they said I had to have debit card she used or they could not return it! So stupid the card # is on the receipt! I was having them add to her account not take $$s out! She could have saved mama a trip to Thomson! I think they wanted to make it difficult so she may give up on returning it ! All this technology complicates everything! Not having the card when just returning with the receipt and putting $s back in account should not require I get her debit card! * Reply ,I could have given full number on the card , but was refused ! Also everywhere else just uses the sale# on the receipt and returns the $s to the account! Is not like I asked for cash!
