We could not be happier with our Shiba Inu puppy! When we picked our Yuna up, she was healthy, happy, and trusted us completely. This is clearly a testament to the breeder, and shows that her first 8 weeks were in a loving and safe environment. Showboat maintains professionalism while making you feel like you’re part of the family.Both Deborah and Dakota communicated well with us, giving updates on her growth and pictures of our specific puppy. We felt confident and assured, as first time Shiba owners, up to meeting her and taking her home. They gave us a sweet care package and were clear about her vaccination and deworming records. Her first vet appointment went great, and the vet said she’s a perfect, healthy, happy pup!Our Shiba has brought so much joy into our lives. She makes us laugh, and we’re constantly stopped in public with questions and compliments. Yuna was well worth the wait and price. I bought a shiba from them back in November, and I can not commend them enough for the quality of the dog that was bred. Strangers literally stop and stare or ask me about my puppy shiba constantly and her personality at home is amazing. Great with other dogs, very quiet, attached to loved ones and friendly to strangers, always wanting to be loved and near family. This dog was the perfect buy, would happily do it all over again.Edit: Last year I "did it all over again" and went back for the one with red and tan coloration, they were willing to meet me halfway on the drive and now I have two inseparable companions that keep each other company. Thank you again for your amazing dogs, I wouldn't give them away for all the money in the world.

I am just totally enamored with my guy, Merlin, from this breeder. I’ve been large dog, malamutes, whole life but getting older.. needed smaller breed with same athletic ability and independence. He’s been perfect. I’m still working so can’t have 2 dogs at a time but will absolutely get another in my retirement from showboat.

Deborah was a pleasure to work with and helped answer all of our questions about adopting a Shiba Inu puppy. The lady was really nice to us!! Our puppy, Mocha, is very energetic and healthy. She definitely raises them right. She had no problem adjusting the day we got her. These ladies are definitely a blessing because me and my daughter had been looking for the right breeder and puppy for weeks... and man were we right!! Deborah and Dakota are the absolute best. Both were forthcoming and easy to communicate with. They respond quickly to texts and were willing to answer any question we had. Getting invited to the dog show was also a ton of fun!The puppy we selected has a fantastic temperament and personality. She's so fun and loving, just like her mother (who we were also able to meet)! Our little puppy is bright, full of life, and healthy! She's easy to handle as well and displays no unusual fear or ANY aggression - the product of good early socialization and handling. We can touch her paws, tail, chest, belly, mouth, and ears without any issue. Everyone we've met has admired our puppy for her wonderful behavior, personality, and beautiful appearance! I don't think I've ever had as good of an experience with any other breeder and I couldn't be happier with the dog I have. We adopted a puppy 2 days after Christmas little toy blk poodle. Jett is a happy, healthy, spunkie little boy. He is on a premium dog food, been neutered and loves his sisters. He is a good addition to our family. Loves to go for a car ride, very good about riding in his car seat too. Couldn't be any happier with him.

I was extremely cautious and skeptical when it came to purchasing a healthy, show-quality Shiba puppy from a clean and reputable breeder, so I had many doubts when it came to Showboat given their outdated website and some bad reviews I came across on the internet.Turns out, most of these reviews are a complete injustice to Mr. and Mrs. Howington. Several National Shiba Club of America breeders that I reached out to ask about Showboat Kennels also gave personal recommendations and verified their reputability. The amount of love, care, and effort Deborah and her family gives to raising her dogs really shows in the well-behaved temperament and visuals of the puppies.I flew from Chicago to personally visit the Kennel and select a puppy, and I'm glad I did. I had deposited and trusted Deborah with several thousand dollars online months in advance of our meet up. While the price for the Shiba puppy was a bit steep, I have absolutely no regrets as I could tell how much affection and resources were put into raising the puppies.Mrs. and Mr. Howington and the rest of their family are the sweetest, most lovable, and honest people, and I'm of the opinion that they deserve so much better of a review than what is out here. I spent the entire day observing their kennel in Georgia, and I can personally attest to their reputability in providing healthy, well-tempered, show-quality pups.Thank you for all the love and care, Mr. and Mrs. Howington!

I purchased the most gorgeous chocolate tuxedo toy poodle from Deborah. He is fun loving, feisty, playful and loves to give the softest kisses. He already had his first vet check and is in perfect health. I live in New Jersey and I like the fact that Deborah uses a car nanny service to transport her puppies instead of flying them. It makes it much safer and less stressful for the puppies. If you are looking for a toy poodle you won't be disappointed with Deborah's puppies!

Deborah definitely has a passion for her breeds and is the real deal show kennel. I got run around by a couple of puppy mill type operations for months before discovering Showboat and now 1 month in with my new Shiba it's been a wonderful addition to my life. Thank you!Update 8/23 Evidently I have the most well behaved attached Shiba ever in comparison to social media groups for Shiba Inu's. While his recall could be better, his stop/no response is quite good and he goes everywhere I go with an unused leash in the truck (unless confined public areas). Rascal has exceeded all expectations and does not fit the norm of Shiba Lure, I can only assume breeding and daily impulse training is the reason why. Thank you again!

We finally welcomed a very cute and healthy shiba puppy a week ago! Their puppies are well cared and my husband and I trusted the breeder when we met the first day. They prepared the paperwork and provided us some good information about food, toys, etc for Momo (our shiba puppy name!). I highly recommend this place if you are looking for healthy shiba puppies.

Dakota was so great and professional. Thank you for helping us with our new family member, Kenzo. Kenzo is so handsome and smart. Everyone is always excited to see him even people we don't know. Her Shih Tzu puppies are fantastic! She is the best breeder I have ever seen. I have bought two puppies previously from her and the oldest is turning 16 years old this year, she does not have a single health problem. I adopted a shiba inu puppy from this breeder about three years ago even when she was going through personal issues. she showed me both parents and where the puppies were kept. At first I believed she was a backyard puppy mill breeder but it was FAR from that. the shiba inu i adopted from her has the biggest personality I have ever seen in any dog. He’s smarter than me sometimes. I know I have made him a spoiled brat but he is so cute. i can’t tell him no. Hes smaller than i expected which I actually love. perfect cuddle size for me! He’s actually ben trained ;as a service animal and registered by myself and training wasnt as difficult as i once originally imagined. I highly recomend this breeder and the blood lines she has to offer for adoption. (also this took me forever to type bc mochi, my shiba, was kicking my fingers while i typed because he’s grumpy and it woke him up lol)

It will be 10 (!) years ago in July that we got our sweet shiba from Showboat Kennels. She is as healthy as can be, and an awesome dog all around. I would love to post a picture of how amazingly beautiful she is, but I can't figure it out :( When we bring her to shiba play dates, people always comment on how gorgeous she is, adorable face, and looks like she is 3, not 9.She is even certified as my ESA because she tunes in to my emotions and responds with love. Definitely definitely recommend this breeder for Shiba Inus.

This is the most ethical breeder you will find. Our shiba inu, Juno, is almost 6 years old and this is the best canine member of our family we have ever had. She is smart, has a great temperament, highly trainable, sweet, fun, and extremely good looking. Showboat Kennels delivered what they promised. She came to us perfectly healthy and well adjusted. Be mindful to only send this breeder $500(deposit) and nothing more. As said through her contract the 500 is non refundable, which is perfectly acceptable. However I have sent the breeder 1,000 for a shiba as I was overly excited to adopt him, this week a close family member of mine is ill and I kindly asked the breeder to send $500 out of the thousand back, she refuse to get back to me after sending "driving now, can't talk" and now wants to "work something out" knowing a police file(today) and claim with her bank will(already done) not saying she is a bad breeder, but her actions are far from acceptable and depending how this goes, the money will be either withdrawn from her bank of $500 dollars or will be going to court.
