Stopped here on a whim while on vacation, really glad we did! It's got an eclectic feel to it. Inside they sell local goods as well as not so local. We grabbed a milkshake (made with local dairy) and some home made fudge, and really enjoyed the attached art gallery with the artist making a new piece right out front of the establishment. Had a great visit!

Cute nostalgic little store with everything including scooped ice cream! I lived browsing the old toys, games and candy! Staff was very friendly! Perfect stop for hikers and campers at Tallulah Gorge!

If you are passing near Talullah Gorge State Park be sure to visit the nearby town of Talullah Falls. Not much of the town remains today however the General Store is not to be missed! It is housed in one of the only original surviving buildings and is well over 100 years old. Even many of the shelves and fixtures are original. It is an operating store and has a wonderful traditional appearance. An excellent mix of new, traditional and antique merchandise. I met the owner and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local history of the town. Be sure to take a break and step back in time with a visit to this amazing store. A Nehi soda and an ice cream treat will brighten any day.

Hidden gem...magical. The owner and I had a nice conversation and I even bought a t-shirt. Lots of cool items from old fashioned candy, food, candles, dishes...etc..

The General Store is such an amazing place to visit! It’s literally an experience in itself! Take a trip back in time! My husband and I are in love!!! The owner Mary Beth was such a jewel! We enjoyed talking with her, and hearing the history as well as her story! We could have talked to her all day! Seriously this store is such a treasure!!! It’s the legit old general store, and the inside is spectacular!! We can’t wait to bring the grands back in August! We also can’t wait to visit every single time we come back this way!!!

We drove up to Tallulah Falls today and stopped in to The General Store. We had such a special time here. After buying farm fresh eggs and a King of Pops Popsicle, I enjoyed rocking on the porch with my family. It was such a great experience and we can’t wait to go back!

We come up every year as our Troops end of the year campout. We usually hike the gorge and then go to the lookout store but this year we found them because they moved!! Super friendly, they have a bunch of cool stuff, hand died ice cream, nehi sodas, comes in a bottle, fudge, and trinkets and gifts galore. A must see in an old building. Awesome front porch to hang out on and blue grass Saturday nights are starting up right out front on July 4th weekend! Absolute must visit!

This store is so unique and perfect!! Me and my wife went along to get some souvenirs and we just came across this store. The owner was extremely kind and friendly and the store is very much similar to a hallmark movie kinda store. We genuinely wish there were more stores like this across the USA and more people like this store owner. Would definitely come back here.

Used to overlook Tullah Falls but is now on main street in Tullah Falls GA. Really nice and unique items, you can even get fudge and ice cream. We visit every year when wondering though the mountains in the Fall.

Kinda overpriced and parking leaves a little to be desired, but the staff was nice and the place was a vibe-and-a-half. They had a good selection of food stuffs, camping gear, and souvenirs.

A must stop in Tallula. A store of many things. Old and new. Fudge, ice cream, postcards, clothes, plumbing, a porch to sit on, a little bit of everything in a historic building on Main street. Across the street is the Tallula stage where concerts are held every Saturday evening.

This place is absolutely wonderful! I loved everything about this place from the snacks and fudge to the antiques and handmade items! My husband and I stopped by on the way home from our anniversary and it was the best thing we could have done. We found presents for our moms. The owner was just the absolute sweetest!!!

Excellent little shop in a very old building that looks to be original. I believe a lot of locals come in for basic supplies. There is also a "touristy" section with interesting items to purchase. We bought freshly laid eggs from a local farmer there.

If you’re in the area please stop here! The atmosphere is very good the lady there was super kind. There was so many things to possibly buy here it made me upset I don’t have a ton of money to spend! It’s a great spot to find gifts too!

Must go if ever close to Tallulah Falls! Like stepping back in time!! Loved it!Went on a Saturday night & there was live local music on the lawn across the street - something the town has apparently done every Saturday night for 25 years!So glad we drove around and stumbled across this place.

Cool place to stop in for cooler scooped ice cream or trinkets to remind you of your visit to Tallulah Falls. We stopped by with our small dogs and felt very much welcomed in the area. Homemade and natural soaps and remedies are present in this store as well. Highly recommend stopping by to check it out at the very least. Maybe you will find something good you didn't know you needed!
