My fiancée and I stayed at the getaway cabins across the street from this restaurant. We walked over and decided to dine in. Service was very good and fast. Sweet tea was good and I loved trying all the different bbq sauces. My favorite was the two spicy ones. I ordered a brisket Philly with fries and my fiancée had the two meat plate. He got brisket and ribs with Brunswick stew and like a pancake bread thing. All the meats were so flavorful and delicious. If we are ever at the cabins again we would definitely come back.

We stopped by after staying at the Getaway Cabins nearby. I have always been a fan and craving good old Southern BBQ. The brisket was absolutely amazing. It was so tender and a juicy piece of meat! The BBQ sauces they offer to dip with your meal are perfect. Owners are friendly, helpful, offer suggestions if you aren’t sure, and talkative to everyone, regardless if you are a local or from out of town! They have such a cute, friendly dog to greet customers outside! She was so sweet and made eating your meal outside much more enjoyable. Sweet tea was good too! A great BBQ spot for the locals but highly recommend for anyone coming to visit the town for cabins or vacation to visit this local restaurant. I wish they had a location here in Atlanta!

Wildcat BBQ and General Store, Suches, (Union County), Ga.Located in the middle of nowhere on Ga. Hwy 60, coming up from the south heading down into the valley, it's pretty much the only business here. This is the sort of place you hope to find on a lonely 2-lane road.Inside the building, they have odds and ends for sale, peach preserves and pants and ponchos. There's a stuffed lynx up on a shelf, an old typewriter on another. It's a "Let's Make a Deal" kind of place as far as what they have. But, the food. You smell that first whiff when you get out of the car in the gravel lot (pro tip: BBQ places that have gravel parking lots make the best bbq)All I will say is this is one of the better chopped pork sandwiches I've ever had. There are different sauces you can put on it, but this is a rare sandwich that doesn't need sauce. So moist, so tender, so simple.Brunswick stew was hardy and filled with delicious bits of meat and veggies. I would have a larger bowl for a meal.Baked beans (a 3-bean mix) was flavorful with a hint of bell pepper. They have brisket and ribs and chicken. They'll cook up a burger for you or fish filet sandwiches. But honestly, that chopped pork sandwich is all you need.

It's been five days since this happened but I haven't stopped thinking about it and had to share my experience. My family was traveling home from a weekend at a nearby cabin in GA. My 21 year-old son had his first bout of motion sickness after enjoying about an hour of the fantastic winding roads in the area. It finally got so bad that we had to pull over to let him out and Wildcat BBQ & Country Store happened to be the first place we could pull off. As he stood by the side of the road heaved over and finally laying on the ground to try to get his wits about himself a woman pulled into the store area (which was closed by that time) and asked if he was okay. I told her we thought he had a bit of motion sickness and she explained that they were closed but that there was store not too far down the road where we could grab some medicine. Shortly after that, a man came out and I'm assuming she explained what was going on. A few minutes later he came to my son with some motion sickness medicine and a bottle of water. I didn't have cash- only my debit card- but he insisted that we take the medicine and that it was okay. He explained that my son might be a little tired but lots of water and the medicine should do the trick. It worked. I am still just so touched by their kindness that I had to leave this review. I looked them up and saw the other reviews about their food and YUM!! I'm bummed we didn't get to partake. But I guarantee that next time we're in that BEAUTIFUL area we will make it a point to stop by and visit these lovely people.

Some can do the meats well. Some can do the sauces well. Some can do the sides well. These folks can do them all very well! What a great find! Pork and brisket were excellent. Ordered a side of the collards and went back for a quart. Stumbled upon the place while rambling and will definitely come back on purpose!

The food was great and the service was fast :-)..don't forget to get the pumpkin cheesecake,it's the bomb!!! the owner and staff were very friendly, this hidden gem is a must stop when you are driving in highway 60,it is right infront and a nice walk from the Getaway house outpost

The other reviews were amazing so I was excited to visit. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuit was super dry. This place is labeled as a general store…it’s pretty misleading. They sell some bug spray, sunscreen, over priced s’mores kits, things like that. The rest of the store is filled with a ton of junk they’re trying to sell: old shoes, bedsheets, tchotchkes and all was super overpriced. The atmosphere is super weird inside, just felt like we weren’t supposed to be there. And all of the indoor chairs were outside lawn chairs.Just seems like a weird tourist trap.

Just great as it gets Q!!! Pork samich piled high with fresh cooked moist tender pork with perfect amount of burnt pieces that sends it into heaven for flavor and taste. The tangy gold sauce was my choice and it just enhances the pork too. Cole slaw fresh done right too. Highly recommended if you any where close make a stop you won’t regret it !!

We stayed in a cabin nearby and we had heard this place had great bbq. What we had heard was right. The staff were super friendly and we looked around the small shop while we waited for our food to be made up fresh. The small shop area has such a wide variety of jams, jellies and homemade condiments that can be bought by the jar. The bbq was delicious with good Smokey flavor that not too many places have. I got the okra and it was superb. I am a huge fan of okra and there are few places that don't cook it soggy. This okra was not soggy and very pleasing. I highly recommend this place and I would eat here again when coming back to the area.

Good food and Amazing service. Me and a few ladies was attending a camping event this weekend and to say the food at the event wasn't very tasty is an understatement. A nice gentleman recommended Wildcat BBQ and let me say from the moment we walked in the door Terry was so nice. The BBQ was delicious and next morning we ate the yummy homemade biscuits and they were great. If you're in the area, I would suggest you stop by.

Literally the best food in the area and maybe the best bbq I've ever had. Sooo tender and smoky, I'm sad I live 12 hours away....but I'll be back for sure next time I'm up this way. Also the outside eating area is enchanting with the beautiful scenery.
