They need to put accurate hours on here. I live close by and it’s very often that I go up here at random times of the day for convenience and it is inconveniently closed while Google shows they are open. Writing this review because of how often this store is closed when showing open.

This place is the worst. I cannot understand for the life of me why south and east Dekalb are up to our necks in Family Dollar stores. They have terrible service, messy stores, and dirty parking lots. This location is no exception. I have gone several times before closing and they don’t allow people in the store after 9:45pm or the store is closed because they don’t have enough employees. The aisles are always cluttered with inventory that has not been shelved. The store always looks a mess. My last straw was March 28th. I went into the store and they advertised a clearance sale. I selected several products that were on clearance and of course none of them rang up the clearance price. One of the items was a shower foam that was priced at $2.75. Mind you there were about 8 other of the same product on the clearance shelf with this same price. The manager on duty “Ms. Nikki” said that they were not on sale and should be $5.50. She was not willing to give me the price as advertised as if it was coming directly out of her pocket. I was going to say forget it and just leave everything, but I really needed some of the items. I called corporate when I got to my car and just like the store they also suck. I was unable to speak with a live representative and was only able to leave a message. It as now been 2 weeks and I have not received a call back.I will never, never, ever, ever enter another Family Dollar store. Stop putting these stores in our communities and expecting us to deal with the poor service, cluttered aisles, and eye sore parking lots.

SHY IS VERY SWEET AND PROFESSIONAL AND I LOVE HER SPIRIT AND SHE MEANS BUSINESS. I think she is in charge but every time I come in she is nice and always observing the store to see what's going on. She's the one that's always there and remains calm no matter what I've witness this myself several times and this is a ghetto area but she's doing an excellent job

Horrible customer service! Never get greeted when you walk through the door. The cashier was on a personal phone call while ignoring me during check out. The store is always junky with boxes overflowing blocking most aisles. Merchandise items are always labeled with the incorrect price and management refuses to honor price advertised claiming they’re not allowed to and we should call corporate. They won’t give you a corporate number and online doesn’t have one where you can make complaints. It’s very sad that I only get this type of treatment in my neighborhood where everyone looks like me! When I shop up north I’ve never had this many problems! Unprofessional, unmotivated, lazy, dirty staff needs to be replaced completely!! Corporate, please contact me!

Went to get some medicine for my dad and arrived at 8:48pm and the doors were locked. We looked it up and it closes at 9pm. Other customers came as well but they wouldn’t let us in. He got the attention of an employee and she pointed at her watch.

Went in just to grab some dog food for my dogs and I grabbed a bag of gravy train 28lbs for $17 I checked the display with the bag and went to checkout. The cashier was courteous and informed me that my total was $21.33. I asked how when the dog food only cost $17. She lets me know that it came up while being scanned as $19.75. I said that is incorrect and let her know that I was going to go take a photo of the price and label. She told me that even if it did show that that manager would not be matching the price shown on display and label. I just had to go and get the photo for myself and attempt to charged the correct price but as soon as I explained to the manager (Maria Garcia) she was extremely rude and explained that she didn’t care what the display said she wasn’t matching any price. I could either get a refund or pay the price I was charged because she wasn’t matching any display. I just left after having to pay inflated prices for food for my pups so they wouldn’t starve but I felt this issue needs to be addressed. I have all pics times date everything from this day. Someone needs to get with me to address this problem asap

Stopped by on my way to work and the doors were locked at 9:05 a.m. I looked at the store hours and it stated 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. There wasn't a note on the door with an emergency and there was a car outside. I knocked. I stood. I called the number from my cell, no answer. As I got in my car a girl (NIKKI) came to the door, as she opened it, I said- "doesnt' the store open at 8 as the sign says". She snarks back- It was locked for a reason. I said and customers come to the store based on store hours. She continued to mumble and SNARK back rude comments. Its AWFUL that patrons have to deal with this type of employee interaction. I made sure to look at her name tag- NIKKI needs to be counseled on her job and customer service!

Tried to shop at 8:45 and was told they were closed … so I told the associate that was working that it wasn’t 9 yet and he said he wasn’t opening the door… so I said I would call corporate to let them know and a lady came to the door and unlocked it and told me do you know what time we closed I said yes and that it’s not 9 yet, she said oh well I’m not letting you in. She could have used that energy to open the door and let me get my trash bags and dish soap!!! I’ll still be calling corporate. Very unprofessional and not caring about the community that your servicing.

Found everything I needed. Cashier was a little peeved since I heard her say..." ok anybody?" But there was no one there for her to cash out, as she walks away, here i come. She was a little peeved but we greeted each other and conducted business. I get it. It works the same way where I work...whenever you are about to do something for yourself, someone else needs you too. It's called working with the public.

This is a fairly large store and has a little of everything. I liked some of the clothes but they could stand to have more sizes than they do. I did find some good bargins though. The employees were friendly and watchful of the customers coming & going and it wasnt crowded when i was there on a weekday around noon.

Tends to have all I need for a quick stop. Some electronics, food -no produce, clothes, bathroom and hygiene products, toys, etc. Prices can be better than other leasing stores. The store is clean. The workers tend to keep to themselves, though I'm sure they would help is asked.

Great customer service. Everybody was knowledgeable and friendly. They did have a lot of stock in the store at this time. Also there are a lot of sale items available. I would highly recommend this store.

The store Manager Niki is the best! She works so hard not to mention she works well with her employees and best customer service ever!!! She is the reason both myself and family dont go to Walmart or any other stores we prefer Nikis store.

Literally just left here and was the worst experience we have had in my multiple visits. As my brother and I were walking to the exit an employee with a heavy Jamaican accent and another stopped us and accused my brother of stealing sunflower seeds that we came in with and the store doesn't even carry. She started getting loud and rude and wouldnt let us leave until we asked to roll the camera's back. I am highly disappointed and will not be spending here for a while

I had a very unusual experience at Family Dollar today I had left my wallet there and I was gone for an hour and did not know where it was but when I went back there they gave it to me they were glad to help me and that's probably the best experience I have ever had with reclaiming my personal belongings the manager cashiers and floor workers are good people at that location if I had the funds I would have gave them a reward but even though I didn't they were still Pleasant

The cashier Fredrick was rude because he didn't know how to operate the cash register, he threw our recipet on the counter, then followed us out the store to talk more junk to us .very rude and disrespectful.

I love Family Dollar the staff is wonderful but I just can't stand people Breaking Inside Family Dollar we need in my neighborhood makes no sense to take from a business this therefore us but overall this is the best family dollar I've been to shop frequently

Conveniently Located in an area thats easy to get in & out of quickly....well lit parking area...the shelves in the store were moderately stocked
