Incredible Shop!!! We Love this Place!! The kids and I bought our first snake from here. We are beginners and Jeff (the owner) recommended a Red Tail Boa. We have had him for a little over a month. I have messaged him a dozen times with questions (most probably silly) and he has responded quickly each time answering my question. The kids Absolute love seeing, petting and holding several of the animals!! Would HIGHLY Recommend this shop!!!!

Absolutely the best customer service! The owner and staff were very knowledgeable about their animals and the care required. The owner took the time to explain to my 11 year old son exactly how to care for a couple fish we purchased, along with the fish he already has from a chain pet store. This is not our first purchase from Seven Seas and will definitely not be the last!

Hands down, one of the best, if not the best experience I have ever had dealing with a pet store. Jeff is just fantastic. Cares deeply about what he does, and will tell it to you straight. His advice is what you need to hear, and not to just appease the customer. Unless you're an expert in the hobby, that's what anyone needs. An honest store owner who will give you good and accurate advice. Jeff has been able to get the exact fish that I wanted for my new set up and at amazingly good pricing for big mature fish. I drive almost 70 miles round trip to this store, and I would drive double the distance if I had to.

Small shop but the customer service is great and the owner is very informative. I wanted to buy some plants for a aquatic tank but there was issues with his tank and plants at the store. He refused to sell them to me in order to keep my tank from being contaminated. I'm glad he took the time to explain rather than just saying"I can't sell you the plants". Great owner,great shop!!

My mom bought a snake from here about a year ago and we had an amazing experience then and we still have an amazing experience each and every time we go back for food. I personally bought a Guinea pig and my friend bought a Pac-Man frog around 6 months ago. Both animals were and still are healthy and are still doing great. We enjoy going into the store once a week to buy food and see all the new creatures. The owners have been nothing but helpful and nice every time we come in. Very cool and friendly place.

I drove 145 miles to check out the store and get to know Jeff. I prefer to establish a friendship with who I buy my fish from. He stayed open a half hour past closing time talking to my wife and I and I chose to buy several fish from him that I haven't seen at the tropical fish store I normally visit, and at a decent price also. It's quite a drive for me, but I've got a feeling I will be returning, because he can get the unique and rare fish that I prefer.

I had a wonderful experience when searching for bearded dragons for my kids. They're very helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to help in any type of way they can rather you buy a animal from them or not. They took out animals to allow me to pet them without any frustrations like some pet shops do. I will recommend anyone that's looking for a pet to visit them.

I understand it's a pet store & they aren't the cleanest stores, however, if you're trying to sell animals/fish, you may wanna make sure they aren't dead. There was one fish tank that the water was so dirty that it was green & you couldn't see thru it.. There were puppies in a container clearly made for small & furry animals, not puppies.. I was just disappointed. The prices didn't seem to be too bad.

On road trip decided to stop at petstores, because I am a reptile enthusiast. This is by far the worst condition I have ever seen a petstore. They had a decent selection of reptiles and fish but they all appeared ill or did not have proper set up. The tanks were so green, which yes algae growth can be a sign of health in a tank, but their tanks were sludgy and disgusting.It does not take 15 employees to clean tanks, it takes 1. I know from experience. There were literally cobwebs in the guinea pigs cage(look at the pictures). The bowls we're bone dry in the reptile room and it didn't appear to be from being dumped out, it looked crusty and dried up. The smell was rancid in the store. No excuses for letting animals live in these conditions, whether you are a small store or not. I have seen dozens of wonderful locally owned stores and this is not one of them.

So I bought a snake here about a year ago (for an amazing price) and to this day I am still a bit standoffish when it comes to holding him BUT I do take very good care of him!!! Anyway, aside from the tutorial I received about having and caring for my snake, I never feel rushed when I come in here to ask questions, gain knowledge, etc etc. I can't pinpoint one just one employee because every last one of them is AWESOME!!! They dont give the "hurry up and buy" attitude EVER! Their prices are amazing on EVERYTHING! I love going here, I always spend more time than what I actually intended to stay. Keep it up guys!!!!

I absolutely loveeee this place! Great service and amazing staff! Every time I go in this store which is mostly every Wednesday, I come out with something. They have a great variety of fish and can answer any questions about their products. You can't get this service at pets mart. I'm always pleased with every visit. 7 seas is a well educated business and will always have my support! #theguppylady

I go in periodically to get feeders for my turtle and beardie, and always enjoy seeing what they have in the shop! Their animals are always well looked after and I've never had an issue with feeders dying on me right after I get them. One of the better pet stores in the area, and certainly the best reptile store- I also appreciate that they'll take in rescued reptiles and rehome them, as it's next to impossible to find a decent reptile rescue. Only critique would be that I'd like to see some bigger hides and other tank supplies in stock for beardie-size reptiles and bigger, but in my experience, if they don't stock it, the staff is very good about telling you where you can find or order whatever it is you're looking for.

I love this place! I always recommend people to this store because the staff is amazing and always helpful,I got my bearded dragon from here and he was very healthy and happy and is still doing great.:) they have a wide variety of animals and reptiles here too! Love visiting there.

This awesome pet store is under new management and is now named Scales Exotics. This is their second location, the other is in Byron. They have fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and plants for indoor and for vivariums. It no longer smells terrible, they take really good care of the animals, and are improving every day! Check it out!

Ended up recusing a bearded dragon from here the poor thing had so much build up (fecal matter) on its scales from not being taken care of properly so we bought him to save his life. But from the time we walked in the owner immediately started hitting on my fiancé in front of our 2 kids age 9 and 2 which is completely disrespectful. Almost didn’t purchase the bearded dragon due to that but considering the poor conditions he was in we felt like we should get him to save his life. Also out of all the pet stores I’ve been in this one was the worst of them all fish tanks looked so filthy and placed smelled strong of urine it was hard to stay in there my eyes was starting to water from it. Before we left the owner offered to sell me the place for 200k so it’s clear he has no regard for the animals there seeing as he ask a stranger to buy the whole place.

My first time in here was to grab some crickets for a friends lizards. It was super busy but the owner was upbeat and quite entertaining while he helped us all effortlessly and quickly. He even made sure i was getting the right type of food for my friends pet. I will gladly stop in again. Thanks!

Not very good. All the aquariums were FILTHY, and there were many fish with beginning signs of illness. The entire store smelled bad, but the "reptile room" smelled RANCID. The reptiles (mainly snakes) water bowls were dirty. And it looked like their bedding hasn't been changed in a while. And the store was VERY filthy all around. But the prices were meh, not too high, not too low.

Love this place! I have bought all my fish here and they are always in great health. Owner is super knowledgeable and makes real recommendations, even if it means not making as much in sales. They won’t steer you wrong here!

Man where to start. Had to stop because I was in the area to go to the gun range and needed feeders for my snakes. Store may have been going through a slight revamp or they may finally have decided to throw their junk out. Tanks were nasty and had fish that were waaaaaay to big to be in them as there were pacu’s, oscar’s, and other misc cichlid’s that were literally the size of the tanks they were in. Store was very cluttered and all over the place. Set up were very old which is fine if there kept up. Rats were over priced for the size. Staff didn’t seem to care one way or another if the sold something or not. Didn’t seem very friendly to be honest. Water bowls were empty, they didn’t have the proper set ups for basically anything, extension cords ran exposed everywhere (which is a fire hazard). I’ve ran a much larger family owned operation and when your supposed to be open at a certain time, generally you get there early to make sure everything is cleaned and fed before the store opens so you can focus on your customers and sales. Pretty sure the USDA would have a field day in this store and shut it down. Oh and I’m all for having a store pet, but their dog seemed so sketched out I’m not sure I would have had it running around the store.

We were wowed by 7 Seas! The associate was very knowledgeable on all animals including personalities of them. I can say, I went looking for a snake and got a good healthy female. Will definitely be back! These guys rock!

Nice owner but the store was severely lacking in cleanliness and proper environment for animals. Guinea pigs did not have any hay, chews or hidey houses (which they need) ferret did not have any enrichment or houses (they are smart animals and need stimulation), almost the fish tanks were covered in a tuck sludge of algae and I saw many sickly fish (fin clamp, ich, malnutrition). Bettas were kept in tiny bowls (pet professionals should know Bettas need minimum 2.5- ideally 5 gallons- with filtration). We went to the back where I saw most every reptile (many more than just the swamp snake) had sopping wet wood shavings, reprobate, sand, or dirt bedding and little to no filthy water but appeared to be at a good weight. The store in general was cluttered and dirty and needed serious TLC, they did carry a very high quality brand of dog food. Cameras were not surprisingly not allowed given the condition of the store and animals. I have seen many small pet stores (with only 1 or 2 employees) run wonderfully but this one really needs work to ensure customers have a good experience and animals are healthy and receive proper husbandry. None of the animals had proper setup.

The guy running it was super helpful and honest and was also very informative with the very specific questions i was asking. Most people would be irritated by the depth of the questions i was asking.he was completely hospitable and not to mention the amazing variety of species of freshwater fish he had. I will definitely go back for my freshwater and reef needs.

This establishment will continue to have our business. From the first visit to our most recent visit the owners have been excellent. They are incredibly knowledgeable and even when they are unsure, they are upfront about it. That in itself is highly respectable. They helped us to rehome a fish that didnt mix with our community tank. The effort alone was appreciated. I would reccomend anyone in the hobby to stop by and check out their shop!

Wonderful place and wonderful staff! Definitely family. I have 36 reptiles and most have come from this store. Each one has come to me healthy and loved. I have attached pictures of Sachmo (ball python) and Mr.Pibbles (bearded dragon).

I was in the area and decided to stop for feeder mice for my snakes. I walked in and stood by the counter in the front and no one was there to help. I decided to walk toward the back to find someone. The store was absolutely disgusting!!! I had to step over junk to get to an employee. The store was so cluttered that if a fire broke out it would be hard to get to an exit. Not only was the store extremely cluttered the smell of the dirty tanks was almost overwhelming. I buy feeder mice for my snakes every week at various pet stores around the city, depending on where I am working, and this is by far the worst I have found.

Best pet store in the area. I’ve been all over GA looking for nice large goldfish. & HE IS THE ONLY STORE THAT HAS ANY. Wonderful customer service! I recommend this store for any time Pet lover. He has everything & is so helpful!

Corey’s kindness, insight, and knowledge was a breath of fresh air for us. He gave us so much information on how to care for our bearded dragon and our fish that we had not received from other pet stores. He has a variety of fish and food for our pets. We will be life time customers.
