The cashiers are very rude, they don’t know how to talk to people. We are just 5 minutes away from the store but we would rather drive 25 minutes away for better service. If they don't train their cashiers how to talk to their customers, they are going to lose a lot more customers.

Didn’t know I couldn’t park in the parking lot after store closed. An employee just randomly knocked on my window and said “you have to leave “ but I was looking up directions and he came right back with an aggressive tone and told me “that means now” yelled at me

My first time visiting here. Found it to be very organized and clean. There was no waiting at the checkout. The cashier was very friendly and helpful and thanked me as I left the store . Very nice experience. Cashier should travel to other locations to teach Good Customer Service .

A nice location with all of the basics. This location also has a propane tanks you can swap out for your grill for $20 A tank - when you bring your old tank to swap out. This is pretty convenient as it seems like the typical tank always runs out right after you put the meat on lol... This allows you to recover your grilling experience with grace. Also, keep an eye out for Fruit & Mest specials as sometimes they are really good.

Can’t go any lower on stars but I so wish I could. Worst experience we have ever had and I’m still in shock that people think it’s okay to behave the way two employees here behaved. Chastising our daughter for writing on an area many write because she wrote “I am gay” and continuously called her “he” or “him” when we repeatedly correct both employees that she is a girl.Told our daughter she shouldn’t speak that way or write offensive things like that, we were shocked. Expected something far worse and we were faced with writing around many other writings that stated, “I am gay.”Really? Both employees told us and my daughter what was written was very offensive, we responded that it in fact isn’t and is self expressive just like many of the other writings on the area with pens. If the problem was that she wrote on the area then of course we would have addressed it and paid for damages but no what she wrote was considered offensive. The only thing offensive is the fact that they felt it was acceptable to behave this way and be so incredibly callous.It’s shameful, I’m embarrassed as a fellow resident in this area. Honestly also quite angry, we would come here as a weekend tradition to get some fun stuff and/or snacks then go home and have our family night. Never again will I or any of my friends or family return here. Absolutely disgusting behavior.Come on people.Do better, be better and at the very least just be kind.

Very large dollar general market. I'm from Maryland and we don't have "pop shelf" with our DG's. I wish we did, lots of great home decorating items. I didn't need to speak to anyone so I can't comment on staff helpfulness.

Employees are rude and will refuse to sell items that they have out on the sell floor. In my opinion, they should do a better job at keeping things that they don’t want sold off of the sales floor. If they can’t do that, then they shouldn’t refuse a sale. I should not have to remind them of their policy just to be able to buy an item. They are the employees and should know their policy.

Very clean and organized store with friendly staff but I’m not a fan of the pop shelf stuff. It’s cute but I miss when they sold the more functional stuff.

You go in here ask for help to find something that you clearly, say i have looked all over the place and can't find it. they refuse to help you. Go check out and get asked did you find everything? Tell them no I couldn’t find what I was looking for and I get oh I'm sorry. Poor customer service.

It's not bad, the employees are what really make the store good. The merchandise is CONSTANTLY changing, so you NEVER know whether or not you can go in today and get the same thing you purchased last week. The prices however are excellent.

First, let me start by saying that I'm a fan of Dollar General as a whole. Add the market aspect to it and you've captured my attention further. The employees here are always super friendly and always willing to help. They normally always have all products in stock and available for purchase. That's a huge factor to the 5 star rating I gave.

This is really the best place to go if you are looking for a wonderful selection of different thing's at an affordable price. The employees here treat you like you matter not just like there there for a pay check and don't want too work for it.. I would recommend this store above the Dollar General Store in Winder off hwy 11, 100 percent. I have worked for the public most of ALL of my 55 years, and I am very aware of "GOOD" and respectful customer service. If this matters to you then I believe this is the place to go. I give the Dollar General Market Store in Statham a 5 star all the way...

Bought ice cream there yesterday. When I opened it it had previously melted and been refrozen. All the flavors had melted into one grey mess. For $4.50 that was a big waste of my money not to mention health hazard of thawed and refrozen food!

I went to this store today 03/06/2020. I bought about $90 groceries , everything was fine but the cashier named Olivia was so unprofessional. She didn’t smile, she didn’t even say hi, or thank you after done. All the time during transaction she seemed harsh toned with me. You should not stay in the front desk if you don’t like to smile with your customers. It’s really not acceptable and totally unprofessional .

Over the past 3 months the service and condition of the store have been spiraling downward. The cashiers are idiots and very rude. the management seems to never be around. The bathroom is disgusting and the store itself is sent much better. We only go here if we have to. Much rather drive to the next town over to do my shopping.

It is always busy but for some reason they like to keep only one line open. Please either hire more help or have your staff come out of the office to open more lines. I have put my things done and walked out multiple times because I am holding two things and watched employees talking rather than open a line when they see it backed up ten people deep. Please work on this.

Store is extremely out of order at all times with the exception of grocery dept.Manager is extremely rude and discourtious .Will move an item rather than honor the price it is listed in . Overheard loudly telling an employee that she was "going to do everything I can to get you fired "in front of store. Would love to see things change especially for the many Seniors who need and desire to shop there. Children cannot be held to account for the disorderly appearance of the store as there are rarely children there that are not in carts withParents. Since I now avoid the situation of theStore please think of others. It was such a pleasure in the beginning when there was a manager who greeted people and was pleasant to all. Thanks for your Attention to this matter. Your shown photo greatly resembles the atmosphereof when original Manager was present & store was well kept and employees presented pleased with their employment. Please return store to original presentation. LINES ARE ALWAYS LONG AND S L O W . Usually only 1-2 lines available.My option is "thumb going down".

I usually come in here for one or two things. However, I always think I'll be in and out........WRONG! it always takes nearly 15 to 20 min to just check-out. There will be about 4 or more people in line with only ONE cashier ; with about 3 to 5 people working on the floor. The workers never greet us customers- can't even get a bye, see ya , don't come back or nothing.. also , probably why I don't come to this particular store very often. I usually always just keep driving right passed it .Generally I'll see workers standing or sitting on the bench with a cigarette in their hands smoking away. Feel like they should be away from the door and away from customer's.Just bad business

Extremely convenient since they have just about anything you can think of. To bad the area is shady, and people shoplift here all the time. As a result the people working there are extremely rude. I watched a customer couple get yelled at by an associate that just a minute before was complaining about having to work and yelling at her co-worker.

Absolutely love this store, great selection of grocery items and all the original great deals on other items ranging from outdoor accesories to health and beauty products. Only downside that I have come across is that there just isn't enough of these wonderful Dollar General Markets around. I definitely recommend that you find and visit this store.

There’s only one register ever open and most of the time the employees are standing out front smoking where you and your baby have to smell there nasty cigarette as you walk in. Or sitting inside the little office in the front and it takes forever to check out. They had a new employee in training running the register and the more experienced employees are outside smoking like usual and she didnt know how to solve the issue with the register. Never fails there are like 10 checkouts and only one is ever open. Shut the place down if you can’t hire anyone to actually do their job.

All the cashier are polite, friendly, and always happy to see you and greet you as you walk into the store. The managers on the other hand don't seem to happy to be there. They are rude, roll their eyes and always seemed bothered if you ask them a question. It appears they have no respect for their jobs or customers. Every time I have gone shopping there, and it's a lot, there seems to be plenty employees but yet most of the time only one register is open with a very long line. I have seen many customers leave because of this. And only when the line is becoming longer and longer an employee(cashier or management)decides to open another register just long enough to get the other registers line down to 3 or 4 Instead if 7 plus. And every time this has happened when I'm in line the hateful look and disgust is all over their face for helping...Isn't that their job?!? And to make matters worse, when ever the one registers line is long there is always 2 to 4 employees standing around the office door gossiping. The comment I made about there being plenty of employees really pisses me off when they make themselves appear "busy" and not one of them ever volunteers to help. On a few occasions during my daytime shopping when there are still plenty of help I never seem to find them. I asked 4 different people for help and not one of them worked there...one was the Pepsi/Coke guy, another was a snack cake vendor and I can't recall who the other 2 were. But you know what, every one I had asked for help that didn't work there all got up and helped me find what I was looking for. Great hard workers that apparently need to teach a class on customer service. I have also witnessed more than once a vendor, not from Dollar General, actually going into the cooler grabbing items that the customer was looking for but even with ALL that help most of the shelves were empty and usually were on a week to week basis. I have worked retail most of my life and I understand a store has to put out there own inventory, get projects done, give all employees the breaks they deserve not to mention it's against the law not to. But having to do everything that's needed and have a productive day I don't understand what the problem is or could be. I have worked for DG when I was one of 4 and most days and nights I worked 7AM until 11PM with no help and no breaks. DG does not like any employees working alone. I was a third key holder at that time. I was making schedules, working open to close 7 days a week on top of walking to and from work when it was 16 degrees or colder outside. I did paper work, progress charts and a whole lot of other work no key holder should do. I started as a cashier then got promoted to key holder. That was a $1 raise that took over 15 weeks to change on my pay check. I was then promised another raise since all the hard I had done...never happened. Not once did corporate or anyone else of authority tell me thank you for filling in when we had no one, no thanks for going above and beyond. And no anything of gratitude. I've made my peace about it and its no longer my concern. I will say this last thing...DG needs to step it up a notch or 10 and treat there employees better and mabey start hiring nice intelegent hard workers with manners.

Great store for the most part. However, in my opinion, they could schedule more employees at the registers. There is usually only one, sometimes two, registers open. And the lines are always long.
