Used to be much better and I find I’m buying way less here lately. Prices have become inconsistent and unreasonable with clothes sometimes costing more than they did when brand new. Electronics and sneakers have been priced insanely high here for a while. Many items are left on the shelf for weeks, probably due to the prices.Customer service is usual meh standard for a Goodwill, but it’s doing good work for the community and employing people who need the help, so I can live with that. The annoying thing is that the store is run to a regular thrift store standard, but tries to price at the boutique end of the market…They can’t have it both ways.Go to a different Goodwill with more reasonable prices until the manager here gets replaced with someone who’s more interested in actually moving stock than getting top dollar for everything. Management turnover is super high in these places, so it’s just a matter of waiting it out.Feb 2024:The last three things I’ve purchased from here have either had parts missing or are not working. They don’t appear to be checking/testing electrical items before being put out on the shelf for sale. Plus, they’re expensive compared to other stores…Many items still sitting on shelf for long periods of time due to being priced too high. Been a customer here for years and standards have slipped badly.

Very organized thrift store! You never know what treasures you will find at this location! Lots of Ga Southern University apparel and paraphernalia! I highly recommend giving this store a visit!

Nice store but junky customers leaving clothes on the floor and junked in dressing rooms. Nice selection of items. No “color” of the week specials and bring your own bag as they do not provide them. Found some fun stuff and would shop this Statesboro Goodwill again when I’m here.

I paid for a vacuum cleaner and didn't get it. When I called back, the young lady said she would check for the vacuum cleaner and call me back. Yesterday I never heard from anyone. I patronize this store all the time. We ever's in charge should have taken the initiative to look into the matter and get the matter solved. I will return today with receipt in hand looking for the vacuum cleaner I paid for but didn't receive. If goodwill employees say they're going to do something, then they should do it, especially management. They should sat an example for others that work beneath them.

Prices have become more retailed than bargains.Items found at Dollar Tree are marked higher and donated clothing are priced the same from original stores. I thought a portion of the proceeds go to needed causes. WoW.And let's not talk about the college individuals who chat more than work.

Darlene works the register and is rude every time I go in there. Today, she informed me that I had to go online before I could use my points, that's fine but I wasn't asking to use my points but they way she said it, was as if I was. Then I asked if I could return the glass items if the didn't fit, she said no, And that's ok I was disappointed but I was discussing with my mother in law if I should still get them, then Darlene tells my mother in law "Have a Good Day ma'am, Your Gonna Need It". I wasn't the problem in the store, it was the rude lady behind the counter. I never treat my mother in law, like that lady treated me today. We will not be returning ever to that location. Besides the Rincon location is priced more reasonable than Statesboro. But I'm gonna Pray for you Darlene cause obviously you don't have any love in your heart for others. I pray you never treat everyone else like you did me today.

Browsing thru the furniture section I found this jewel. Its a $10.00 corner table. How this got past the drop off and right to the dumpster is beyond me. At some point somebody should have said this is garbage. Nope it made it to the sales floor. Any employee or manager that thinks this a acceptable sale item should be discharged.

Disappointed that a older box of sympathy cards were not priced. And then tbhe cashier just rung them up at 1.99. I see. What a minute. Can you please open the box and see what's inside? I'll pay $1 for that box. Some of the card were discolored and they were other things in the box that was not cards that I could not use(business cards). She asked another person. I assumed a manager and then she said keep the price at $1.99. when I spoke to a real manager on the phone she said they were not supposed to sell it without a price attached. I hope that situation will be resolved so that a cashier does not make up an unreasonable price and expect a patron to fork over the money. Without anyone checking the merchandise inside first.

Bought a pair of sunglasses. Found out why they put the price sticker on lense instead of frame... they covered up the scratches. Really disappointed cuz I even round up my total to be extra helpful on purchase.Side commemt- this place is mainly clothes

Good prices for clothes and books. Nice, friendly checkout staff at the registers. Two people who were stocking items and returning them to the correct location were loudly discussing their private lives and a divorce. It made for an awkward environment to browse through products.

I used to love going there but the prices are ridiculous. That’s a goodwill not Walmart they should lower prices for the merchandise seeing how they don’t pay for anything it’s donated

I honestly don't find much at this location, there's a mediocre book, toy and furniture section and, of course, guy's selection. I suppose most thrift stores end up being 80% women's clothing and shoes and this is no different. My issue with this place is that I always see a comically long line to checkout, sometimes more people in line than in the rest of the store. I think this is partly due to the cashier asking every single person all these questions about rewards numbers, military discount, senior discount, rounding up and all this stuff. I am not sure the cashiers are at fault, they are dealt the cards they are dealt and they are trying. But, something should be laid out better. Maybe more traditional cash register actual lines that divide the line into two instead of one continuously long one would somehow make it seem less daunting.

Prices are terrible now. It use to be owned by a single man. Now I hear L.A. Furniture owns it .Cloths are marked as rhe slip prints . No more one amount for shirts or pants etc.Had a used pair of women dress shoes for $22 bucks which you can go to Ross, TJ Max etc by new for $12.99. Bed sets in a bag $99 bucks cause they came from Macy's. He'll I can by a bed in bag 8 piece for $29.99.I don't donate something for them to sell at what I paid or close to it . I donate for the ones who can't afford to pay top dollar on items to get at a fair and reasonable price.The Pooler location is definitely super cheaper on clothes and especially furniture for who is looking more for better prices.

Half-burned candles should not be sold at brand new prices, but that is the least of your worries. Goodwill started a new price tag system. I tried to purchase an item that was missing part of the price tag (not my doing) and met with a no-go at the register. The cashier called the manager, a lady who did not seem to care about her own attitude much less customers, who said they must reprocess the item for pricing. The price was clearly visible on the item; it was only missing part of the barcode. She said that will take a minimum 24 hrs. Idk if that manager sucks or the new system is just that ineffecient--or a combo of the two--but at this point I'd rather buy new items from a more reputable store at the prices they charge anyway.

Was originally told I had a $10 reward back in October but they were changing systems so I couldn’t use it til January. January came around said it wasn’t ready so I could use it in February. Now I’m told that it expired in October and my number is no longer registered with goodwill. Prices are now outrageous anyways. Needless to say, this was my last trip to the statesboro goodwill

This place is ran by very biased people. The woman supervisor here shows very strong favoritism only to workers who shows the same interests as her. She won’t even hire people who have different views from her. They don’t allow political clothing UNLESS it’s lgbtq related. So If it’s blm or conservative clothing it must be trashed, but if it’s lgbtq it can stay. The owner here should really question all of the workers separately to see how they really feel about the workplace environment and the “supervisor” at this place.

Not bad pricing and items. Only reason I give it three stars is they aren't knowledgeable in what they sell or what works etc. Ex. They sold cells recently and claimed for sure they were unlocked. NONE were. Other reason for 3 stars is fact that you can only get store credit no matter the reason for the return. So, like for cell issue, I needed my money back so I could get a cell from a reputable place instead, but despite they gave me the wrong info I could only get store credit. Friendly staff though and pretty clean store as well!

I was going there everyday but some employees are rude & nasty. When u ask a question & they scream at you like a lunatic there was no reason to return. I asked to speak to the person in charge. I was told i needed to come back. The day i was to comeback they sent out an email saying the store was closed for employee appreciation. When employees treat customers badly they have a tendency to not return. Besides our money spends everywhere. This location is awful. Spend your money elsewhere

So done with Goodwill! I used to go there everyday, they new me by name. But after the pandemic hit they didn’t do their color of the week anymore, they stopped using bags and if you want one you have to pay for it. And they have raised prices . It used to be .99 cents for a dvd and now they are 2.99. Most people stream movies now so .99 for a kids movie no biggie but 2.99 is too much. They are charging rediculous prices for used shoes and purses. And the housewares and Nick nak stuff has been to expensive for a long while there. You can find it for the same price in the store. It used to be fun to hunt for treasures but not anymore so they have lost a customer and I’m sure I’m not the only one!

This store is becoming more and more overpriced. They have items still in packaging with the $1 retail sticker on them, and they always mark it $1.99 for their store price. Their pricing is much higher compared to Savannah stores and Dublin. The staff argues back and forth over the intercom system, and do not speak to customers except at checkout.

Great atmosphere and employees. Has a lot of items always coming out. Only downside is that theres always a long time because of having 1-2 cashiers and having a lot of customer traffic.

Great selection & if you need a standout piece in your closet check this place out. Precious the cashier was so sweet & the floor workers are great!!! However, the management needs SERIOUS remodeling. The head manager (idk his name black hair kinda round) accused me of having too many bags & wanted to reprint my receipt & proceeded to insinuate that I stole from this store. I donate every week to Goodwill and would NEVER take from anywhere let alone a nonprofit such as this. I admit it is overpriced & should be modeled after its sister store in savannah at a dollar a pound but come on. He should be fired. A friend of mine used to be an associate there & she has a disability. After I explained to her what happened she relayed to me that he made her work twice as hard as anyone else and discriminated against her just because she biked to work. I love thus goodwill but change needs to happen & it needs to happen soon.

It was a Sunday and very busy. What bothered me most was most people not wearing a mask. The U S is again entering a critical time and all businesses including Goodwill should mandate mask wearing. This will be the pandemic of the unvaccinated. I have had mine. Have you had yours?
