Worst service department.. took engine in for skipping and stalling.. didn’t look at that issue rip foot off my boat told me I need a water pump.. still charge $200.00 for nothing. Don’t recommend them. Wasn’t trying take boat with out paying . Pulling it from yard to shop to run boat and talk to mechanic about issues. Replaced water pump as you suggested still have the issue with skipping.. took to another shop found an injector issue.All questions you stated where typed on your work never asked customer.Maybe you need try listening to your customers.Turn over to BBB.

Fishing my entire life and I always wanted a Carolina Skiff. Researched for 3 months for a used boat but saw ads for Custom Marine and I always go straight to reviews. Just from their outstanding customer reviews, I go from looking for a used boat to driving 1 1/2 hours to look at a new 2022 CS JLS. Upgraded to a 2023 CS 19LS with a Yamaha.Johnathan and especially Brad Lanier went above and beyond all my expectations answering questions and meeting my needs and wants to have this boat ready for July 4th weekend. Returned a few weeks later with some minor factory installation issues and my first scratch. My husband met the staff then and liked them immediately and knew why I purchased my first boat from Custom Marine. We returned today, issues resolved, scratched repaired to perfection. I’m sure having a female customer who is a perfectionist and sometimes not very trusting of salespeople/men wasn’t a picnic for them 😁 but what true gentleman, patient and so professional. The entire staff is approachable, friendly and a pleasure to do business with. With the number of boats I noticed sold my last two visits, many customers agree. It was so worth the drive!!!!

I recently brought my cherished 2016 Pathfinder 2200TRS down to Custom Marine in Statesboro, Georgia for some slightly unusual warranty work.  The lifting bow cleat hardware had been improperly installed at the factory and for safety reasons, needed to be replaced.  When the folks at Ft McAllister Marina or Shellman Bluff, lift that boat out of the trailer to lower it to the water, it’s a long way down!  For that reason, I drove 237 miles down to this dealership from my home in Milton, Georgia in order to have the work done properly.  I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!The Custom Marine Warranty/Service Department, under the exemplary leadership of Ms Amber Tucker, did the job and exceeded all expectations.They did a beautiful job and when I next launch in a location where the boat needs to be lifted - I will be 100% confident of everything holding together.  Not only that, THE BOAT WAS CLEANER WHEN I PICKED IT UP THAN IT HAD BEEN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF!  No footprints, no marks of any kind, no evidence that anyone had ever been on board.  Magical.But wait, there is more…The boat was ready to be picked up sooner than promised.Let me repeat that, so you don’t think that was a typographical error.  I brought my boat to a marine dealership for service and it was done SOONER THAN PROMISED!Service Manager, Ms Amber Tucker, was responsible for managing the repair and did the job perfectly.  She listened and clearly understood the problem, she communicated with Maverick Boat Group to follow up on parts delivery, she picked the right technician for the job and she kept me informed every step of the way.I will not hesitate to recommend Custom Marine to any of my Pathfinder buddies and when it is time for my next new boat, I will again be driving down Route 16 toward Statesboro.

First I want to say the ride out to there location is way better than dealing with city traffic, my wife and I took a ride out there to look and buy a boat. Our salesman was Jonathan, We told him what I was looking for and he showed us and took the time to explain our options and the pros and cons. Till we narrowed it down, all I can say is , John has set the bar for customer satisfaction!! When the day came to pick up the boat , not only did he go over every aspect of it. But he stayed after hours!!! I would like to mention a friendly staff. And Rubin in the finance dept. was also fantastic!!! Thank you all very much!!

Very very unprofessional business. By far the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I am an Advid tournament fisherman and I will make sure to never go back as well as anyone I know who owns a boat. Myself as well as several of my friends have had terrible dealings with these people. Manager keeps lieing to me saying they’re working and the boat and it will be done the next day while the boat is still sitting in the yard outside. Now we are two weeks later and boat is still not finished !! I asked to be updated on the boat, never get calls back I have to call up there to figure out anything that is going on. Talked with them and they said they would jump on it Monday, boat sat for a week and a half before they even touched it and the only reason that happend is because I kept calling. Anyone who reads this take my advice it’s worth driving a little further somewhere for better business !!!! Custom marine is the last place you want to take your boat to.

Very satisfied with my experiences with Custom Marine. I purchased my first aluminum bass boat from them in 2019. The experience was great and I can’t say enough about Jonathan King as a sales person. Truthfully the boat I bought from them wasn’t my first choice, but Jonathan’s honesty and sincerity went a long way helping me decide to do business with them.Since I bought the boat I’ve dealt with the service team for upgrades, services, and and a few small repairs. I bought a new Xpress H22B a few weeks ago. Salesman wasn't very knowledgeable about several questions I had the day I was there making the purchase. The boat never was tested in a lake at all. It would not even plane off and they refused to accept any responsibility of it being incorrectly setup with the wrong prop or offer a trade. So I'm out of another $700 to buy my own. Also have a leak that I'm going to have another dealership fix for me. Was told the boat had a automatic bilge pump and it doesn't. Many screws throughout the boat were loose or halfway driven in. Poor service across the board but to be expected in today's workforce it seems.

September 2013 I called Custom Marine and was connected with Johnathan King, I explained to Johnathan that I was still a few months out on the purchase of a boat but I had a few question. Johnathan was more than helpful. He answered all of my questions and did not rush me off the phone as soon as I told him I was not read to buy. Over the next month or so I called Johnathan a few more times and again he was more than helpful. In January 2014 I purchased my new Carolina SKiff and Johnathan and the team at Custom Marine made the purchase very easy. They have the best prices and the best customer service in the southeast. In November 2014 my wife and I decided we wanted a bigger boat and one with more options and storage. My first call was to Johnathan King at Custom Marine. I explained to Johnathan what I was looking for and he went to work. Before the end of November I was headed back to Jacksonville with my new 2014 Sea Hunt BX24BR with a 300 Yamaha. My wife and I both love this boat and love the relationship we have with Johnathan and Custom Marine. In less than a year I purchased two new boats form Johnathan and Custom Marine and I would not buy from anyone else. They are not the closes boat dealer to me by any stretch but meeting and dealing with great people like Johnathan and the team at Custom Marine is well worth the 3 hour drive for me. I have been well pleased with the sales and service department at Custom Marine; 13 years ago I purchased my first Sea Hunt from them. Brad was honest with me about the cost of the boat and he was very informed about the quality of the boat and the accessories that could be ordered with the boat. In 2012 I traded the old boat in and purchased my 2nd Sea Hunt (I had to step up 2 feet). Once again Brad was professional and informed. There were several small adjustments that had to be made to the boat and trailer and the service department fixed those small things immediately. Great company to deal with.

I have dealt with Custom Marine on two occasions recently in purchasing new Suzuki outboard motors. Jonathan and the entire Custom Marine team have been a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to assure that I was satisfied with the quality of the work and the purchase experience. Very helpful, as well in assisting with purchases of appropriate accessories for the new engine installs. Additionally, I had them do some wood and fiberglass work on my boat and they did an excellent, cost effective job. I highly recommend. I purchased a $85K Sportsman boat w a 300 Yamaha from Custom Marine on May 30. The engine locked up on June 27, along with numerous electrical issues (no alarms). Regardless of why the engine locked up (no one is real clear why), Custom made no strong effort to get it handled thru warranty and when we brought the boat back to them on Monday June 29, they did not make time for 1-1/2 weeks to seriously address the boat issues. Finally after no satisfaction, I took the boat to another boat dealer and got the issues handled. Very poor customer service by owner and salesman on this deal. Will never use Custom Marine again.
