The negative reviews are all accurate. Apparently we weren’t allowed in secondary to their recent fire unless we were “looking for something specific”. Apparently semantics dictates the law. The owner was very enthusiastic to bring everything we were holding up front, smiling the entire time. But the change in his demeanor whenever we tried to negotiate a price was extremely noticeable. Convinced everything we were trying to buy was handmade and worth at least $20, he became visibly distraught when offered less and told us he could put it for sale in any of his stores and sell it if we didn’t want it. He’s a penny pinching hoarder at best, and I’m happy we didn’t take any of his items he’s been holding onto for years

I'd found 2 striped uranium glass vases on one of many desks and was happily about to purchase them both when the owner hastily snatched them from me claiming that they weren't for sale. There was no signage stating his claim and he'd acted like I'd done something sneaky against him, but it was his mistake and not mine. My husband confronted him and while this was not our 1st visit, it will be our last. I personally suggest spending your money elsewhere to spare yourself from the disorganization.

No prices on anything, the guy just wings it when you ask him - mostly overpriced. Very messy, unorganized, no heat/air, narrow spaces to navigate through, can't see anything, very dark. We bought a 1997 Barbie my daughter wanted - paid $20 - when we got home, the feet broke off immediately and hair fell out. Beware!

No prices on items. You have to ask for a price and when you do he acts like you are inconveniencing him. The signs saying 60% off are just a gimmick to get you in the store. Way over priced. I asked for a price on a particular item then looked on Ebay to see how much it was going for. I ordered it off of E-Bay instead which was a better deal anyway. Very uncomfortable atmosphere.

Like the other reviews indicated, this place is overpriced. The owner was rude and said we couldn't come in because they'd had a fire. So we asked for a price on something, and he said some absurd price, but yet his signs indicate it's a fire sale, going out of business sale, but his prices don't reflect that.

This is an amazing place but there are only prices on about 1/4 of the items and only one person was working this HUGE store. We spent more time finding out prices than actually getting to walk around. Be prepared to spend time here when going because they do have EVERYTHING, just have to explore.

Rude and over-priced. Sales pitch signs are an absolute gimmick. Dude makes up his prices on the fly. I tested the theory by going on two separate occasions and he gave me two different prices on the same item

50% or 60% off is just a marketing nightmare. He charges whatever he wants. He purposely does not price anything with stickers so no one really knows if they are getting a deal or not. For example Dr. Bonners soap $9 sticker on bottle with 60% off is $4.60. He charged me $7 and when I ask him about it he acted like it was not a big deal. No price on flag, charged me $10 so that's 60% off of what? I didn't push as my young niece was with me and he charged her $20 for 2 beanie babies. Again 60% off what. He's not trustworthy.

This place has a bit of everything it seems. The store is closing though because the buildings owner is increasing the rent by a ridiculous amount. Lots of interesting items and a very large inventory. Worth a look if you are into antiques.

From out of town, was looking for a small piece of art to bring home as a keepsake. Found a small “copy” of a picture of Barry College. When I went to pay I was shocked that he charged me $19.80, he explained that the price was higher due to it being signed by the “artist”. When I walked back by the art copies on the way out I checked the prices and to my surprise they were marked as $2.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Everything is 60% off? Yeah, I think not. I’m all for shopping small and local but this man is scamming you Rome. Wake up. Take your business else where.

Few things make me angrier than having my time wasted. On a positive note this place has a far wider selection of true, solid wood vintage or antique pieces than the other four antique shops I visited while in Rome. When I entered the store the owner/manager(?) told me that everything was 50% off for their moving sale (which I knew), except for certain items which would be marked. Fine. I found a piece suitable for alteration which I liked and which had a reasonable 1/2-off price, and spent the next hour circling the store, measuring and texting my husband trying to find a semi-comparable piece to pair it with. After deciding on a second piece I even spent several minutes talking with the owner about both and asking questions. Finally I decided just to purchase the first one, but when I went to check out I was charged full price as this piece had the word "Firm" on the BACK of the price tag. Who would know or think to look there?? I declined to purchase as we couldn't justify the full price given our plans to alter it, and left. I don't dispute that it was a quality piece and no money changed hands, but I wouldn't have wasted an hour+ in this store if it had been obvious at the start that it was exempt from the sale.

Huge variety of wares and space filled with some excellent quality antique and vintage furniture & decor...good Asian section too. Scott, the owner is very knowledgable and straightforward (refreshing for a change) and I trust him implicitly! My home has several of his pieces which I always am complemented on. Of note is his other store Illusions on Broad Street with an incredible selection of vintage jewelry - costume & genuine gold, silver, precious & semi precious stones!!! Just gorgeous!

It was packed so full of items that it's hard to see what's there. As a matter of fact there's a sign at the door stating you can't bring in your purse due to the fact that things get knocked over. SO I put my purse in the car and walked around with my dad. There were some interesting things in there but my money was in the car. I guess I felt like going to the car to get the money and coming back in to pay for it wasn't something I wanted to participate in especially since I wasn't allowed to have it in thre in the first place. It felt odd maybe like they suspect all women with bags as thieves. They said it was to prevent breakage. That could be it. The place was packed. There is some interesting stuff. If you want to go ladies take your money out of your purse before you go in other wise your gonna feel weird if they turn you around at the door with you hand bag. You can just hold your money in your hand if you don't have pockets.

Directed me on selling 30x40 oblong mirror I have no place to use it nor anyone else in our family. Mirror in beautiful condition and hung in the living room for many years. He was very knowledgeable about pricing.

Impossible to do business with! I contacted the owner about selling 3 items....sent him pics and a price. of $200.... He said he would take them. So I drove an hour to get there. He looked at the items, then offered me only $150, knowing he had me on the spot cause I needed the money. Reluctantly I sold them for 150, and he smirked cause he KNEW he had just taken advantage of me....OK there were 3 items...thats $50 each he paid me. a month later, I wanted to buy back ONE of the items. I expected to pay him a small profit...but NOOOO....he wanted $150 for ONE item...the whole amount he paid for all 3!!! What GREED!.....not only GREEDY....but very RUDE AND ARROGANT as well!!!!!....... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!!! AT ALL!!!! TO ANYONE!!!!

He had a TONE. There is so much to look at, you need to name sure you have plenty of time when you stop. There is actually so much to look at, it is a difficult shop to maneuver around. Some of the items, you have to see from afar because there is no walk space to get to them. The gentleman who works there/owns the place is super nice and helpful. I am sure he would do his best to help if you were interested in a piece that is difficult to get to just as he does with the pieces that are not.

Saw a Facebook picture with lots of rusty cast iron skillets at this store. Took an hour's drive over to find a deal with a bulk purchase. I found that many were warped or cracked. The prices started at $25 for for the worst of the lot and went much higher from there. None were cleaned or seasoned. You aren't going to get a deal here. Keep looking!!

On the positive, lots and lots of stuff currently discounted 60%. The owner is obviously trying to get out of the business. Everything was marked down. Much of the stuff was not in very good condition. Too cluttered for my taste.

I haven’t found a better selection anywhere like this store has. My husband and I were totally amazed at what we found, and at such good prices. We plan on returning soon to get more furniture for our home.

They have a wide variety of antiques and vintage items. Great place to go to get one or many things to furnish or decorate your home. Nice Staff. There is a lot to see, you will need to take your time to see it all

Went in looking for treasure. All I found was junk. Found an old beat up container that shop keep wanted triple for what it goes for brand new. He was rude when I pointed out this information. Found an old doll that was marked triple the priced of what I could order it for online. No deals here. Move along.

Wide assortment of antiques! If you are looking for anything in specific be sure to ask and the Owner, he will be sure to show you right where it is! He was very helpful and kind when he was showing me where a few pieces were! Definitely worth the afternoon to look at it all!
