This place is a lifesaver. I had an early meeting at one of the local plants and needed a quick breakfast on my way in. I found this little spot to have some of the best “down-home” southern style cooking I’ve ever tasted. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the smoked sausage. Biscuits were soft, moist, and buttery. Gravy was just right, not too floury. And the smoked sausage was delicious. I’ll come back anytime I’m in town.

Stopped here in the afternoon on a Sunday on a whim. I’ve stopped into the gas station before early mornings, and the breakfast line is always super long, so I had a feeling it had to be good. Got two plates (meat and two), a large tea, and a large cobbler for $20! Fried chicken was juicy, BBQ pulled pork was tasty, sides (mashed potatoes, giant steak fries, greens, and black eyed peas) were all seasoned well, and cobbler was delicious. All it needed was a scoop of vanilla ice cream! If you’re looking for a quick and inexpensive roadside hole in the wall, this is it!

Just aint the same as it used to be and that's sad. That's all I got to say about that, because this could be a Coosa staple like it used to be, especially since Martha's skillet is long gone. Coosa needs GOOD FOOD!

Used to be a grat place to stop and eat. I ate breakfast here every morning for several years. Recently it changed ownership and is no longer a family run business, it's now owned by Indians and it has done nothing but go downhill from that point forward. I stopped this morning 03/31 and at 7am they had nothing cooked and the lights off. I asked what happened and was told one person showed up late so no one did anything until she got there. So now I'm at work with an empty belly and won't get the chance to eat again for about 12 hours. Evans definitely lost a customer today I'll never stop here again, not for food, not for gas, not for anything. It's a real shame Rome has lost such a good place.

Only good thing was lady working there the food is horrible bland and way to expensive for what you get first and last time there and it's so small just not worth it 810 and not good bland and cold not to mention the rudeness and acting as tho you are bothering them

Awesome place. Has been there for 50+ years. Recently has changed owners so not sure if the great customer service will continue. As of now still awesome. Some of the best food from a deli you can get. Really hope to see Evans parts and service continue for another 50+ years. The whole community is definitely going to miss the previous owners.
