I work at Dg and I’m not even happy with the store the manager is awful and retaliates takes your hours and has 9 employees but claims she’s short staffed lmao give the ones that actually are employees there hours if you need works I swear Jessica Jordan of store 6161 on kingston hwy is the worse manager she has 0 leads her ship skills and a very dry personality she is doing things that would get you fired on the spot but yet when you report it nothing gets done all they want to do is transfer me to another store nope not today satan I ain’t going no where u will have to fire me

Basically it's what you would expect, large company taking advantage of no job opportunities otherwise.Also, the business plan appears to be to run on very low stock so that, most of the time, what a person needs is sold out. I give it two stars because the employees are great and it's not their fault.Good job David Perdue!

Salespeople & cashier friendly & helpful. Store itself is so jampacked with products that it's often hard to do through the aisles or reach for items behind yet unpacked merchandise. Almost Always very busy though & that's always a sign of good merchandise at especially good prices. Community atmosphere, a place where neighbors seem to find each other

Only giving this store 2 stars, because of the riff raff tjats allowed to hang out in the parking lot, I've been threatens in the parking lot several times before I can get in the store, with physical harm, but once in the store, the ladies are the very best. Very helpful, very polite, and respectful. But the problem is in the parking lot. Management really needs to help these ladies and customers out

Love the Kingston dollar general .. it's always clean an organized .. the manager( Jamie is very good manager an is I BELIEVE SHE HAS A BIG HEART AN VEERY CARING AN UNDERSTANDING LADY.ALWAYS SMILING AN ASKING HOW YOU DOING WHEN U ENTER INTO THE STORE..SHE MAKES DAY ESPECIALLY IF IM HAVING A BAD ONE.THE REST OF THE CASHIERS LUANNE IS AN EXCELLENT CASHIER VERY HELPFUL AN CARING. Every Dollar General seems to have the same issue. Overstocked. If the company keeps sending stock when they know plainly that there is no room to put it, the employees can not force it into the confines of that small building. It is a never ending battle to make the place presentable. And if they would allow scheduling for more than two people at a time to work, They could actually get something accomplished. I like the prices and the convenience, but if it's not a DG Market, it's always over crowded and depressing to even walk through. Their saving grace are the sweet personalities at the checkout.

I know this store as if it was my house. Quick in and out 90% of the time. The other 10 percent is my browsing the updated stock and I have got great quality blouse and tops at fair price. I buy 97%of my hba, cleaning supplies, weekly house hold product and if its IM going to be home alone for the week. I get weekly groceries for 1 there also. I love the Dollar Store

Most unorganized cluttered cant walk down an isle for carts setting at the ends... Always have to turn around and back track hoping no ones behind you. Cant turn buggy around on an isle

Sold phone 📱 charger which the. Clerk cut openWhen. It.woùld not çharge tried to return the item , she didn't want to receive the charger because it was cut open. Then reminded her that she cut it opeñ .(oh yeah!!)... I was given opportunity to purchase another charger.

The place is usually messy looking from things being in the middle of the Isle or the Isle just not big enough to walk down sometimes. I go here cause it's close and convenient to my house when I don't want to go to town.

Manager screamed at me for taking a buggy 10 feet out the front door to my truck. Threatened to call the Police on me for "stealing" a buggy. I didnt see any other way to get my 6 bags ($102.39) out to my truck. I will never set foot in the Alto Park store again and my immediate family has been instructed to do the same.

No excuse there was a line from the front of the store all the way to the back and only one register was open. When I finally got to the cashier another employee showed up out of nowhere and told the first cashier to take a smoke break. My mind was blown. I'll be avoiding this location if at all possible

I love DG. This location has a nice blend of haphazard shelving, a reappearing cast of local characters, and a permanently semi-sticky floor--basically everything you want in a classic DG experience.

This store is always trashed, dirty, they refused to give me a reciept and two canned goods were put into my bag of bread... they also cant make proper change and are slow and understaffed.
