In October 2018 I contacted Taylor at Fame Kennels & Training Academy in search of a German Shepperd Dog. Taylor took the time to not only answer all my questions about the breed and their needs, but she also to question me to learn more about our household (age of our children and other pets we had) to make sure the litter she had at that time would match our family. After a couple of quite insightful and instructive conversations we settled on welcoming a female puppy into our home.Though we were super excited about our new family addition I was concerned about the interaction our new puppy would have with our untrained and obnoxious lab mix. Taylor went out of her way to help me train our lab mix before our GS puppy would come home. By the time Nikita (our new puppy) came home, she was already so well trained I felt I had failed on our lab mix training and decided to have them both trained at a higher level with Taylor. I was very comfortable leaving my dogs with her, her facility being more than welcoming (clean, comfortable and safe) and Taylor being the sweetest and most gentle training I have met.After their training was over, Taylor spent several hours with me “training” me on how to reinforce what they had learnt with her. Both dogs were trained to the T! I was amazed by the way they responded to any command Taylor had taught them!What struck me was the love, patience and fun she has when interacting and training her students.It’s 2024, 6 years later, and Nikita is and has been the sweetest dog I have owned, I had no idea a German Shepperd could have such a gentle, sweet and easy temperament. She has welcomed a Boxer puppy, a kitten and a ferret with a motherly attitude. This is how sweet and gentle she is!Fame Kennels and Training Academy and Taylor are admirable in both breeding wonderful German Shepperd Dogs and training all types of dogs. I will forever be grateful for Taylor.

I contacted Taylor is 2020 looking for an adult companion dog for my mixed breed dog (Elvis) She responded right away and matched our family up with Farrah. She came home with us and fit right in. Since bringing her home, I have taken our crazy, high-energy Elvis to her for training. She did an excellent job of walking me through the training with him. I had previously been to two other trainers with him. I can now enjoy our walks without fear of him dragging me down the street! She was very patient and clear with the techniques.I have used her for boarding and have been very happy. My dogs love going “on vacation” to Taylor’s. I trust her 100% with my dogs. I also have another dog from Fame Kennels (Keke). She is a beautiful, sweet-natured, goofy addition to the pack. We love these girls! I will definitely choose Fame Kennels for my next pup!

My family was looking for the right German Shepherd puppy for nearly 2 years when we found Fame Kennels. Taylor answered my phone call and explained her program in detail and answered all my questions. We picked a litter and on Feb 11 of last year our Gunner and 9 siblings arrived. Taylor allowed us several visits as the puppies grew. She was instrumental at picking Gunner for our family and training him when time allowed. Now he’s almost 1 year old and we couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend Fame Kennels for purchasing your GSD and also for kenneling and training your dog. This business cares for and loves the animals they watch and train.

I cant say enough good things about Taylor at Fame Kennels & Training Academy!!! I took my crazy out of control 5 month old bernedoodle to her for the 2 week puppy preschool board & train which I highly recommend doing for any puppy!!!! My Millie came back a different dog!! Taylor did amazing with her and was so patient with me teaching me how to continue doing what I need to for Millie to be a great dog!!! If you are on the fence about training your puppy go see Taylor!!! You will NOT regret it!!!!! Every dog deserves to be taught manners and good behavior!

I can't say enough great things about Fame Kennels & Training Academy. Taylor is fantastic! After boarding my young velociraptor with Taylor for 2+ weeks while we went on a dream vacation, we're doing some private sessions. The tools and training tips Taylor provided have made a world of difference in my strong willed boy's behavior.Taylor's kennels are clean and safe. She handles the dogs with love, kindness, and finds a way to make everything fun and games for the dogs. Her instructions to me as the handler are clear, with the added explanation of why and how they work. Fame Kennels is a fabulous breeder of the GSD turning out exceptional quality dogs in both appearance and temperament. Taylor McCuiston who is the owner and breeder is the best. She loves this breed and it shows. We bought our current 1 yo GSD and he is the best. Taylor was communicative and answered all our questions from when the puppies were born to when we picked up. We have utilized the boarding at Fame Kennels for 1.5 years now. We couldn’t be happier with how well Taylor (Fame Kennels’ owner) takes care of our pup Russwin while we are out of town. She has been incredibly flexible and worked with us when we have had unexpected family emergencies out of town and Russwin needed to spend extra time in boarding.Our pup loves going to Taylor’s and never looks back once we drop him off! I so appreciate the ease of the online portal for scheduling stays, payment, and also getting report cards on how Russwin is doing on his longer boarding stays (sometimes including photos like the one attached). I have peace of mind knowing I’m leaving our dog on a farm with a run to move around and somewhere with heat when it’s frigid outside rather than at a typical kennel where he would not receive the same care and attention. I would highly recommend Fame Kennels to anyone!

I had gotten a female gsd puppy and was told about Taylor by a coworker. Took my wild puppy to Taylor and got a very well behaved puppy back since then Taylor has trained her shown her in shows got her titled . She helped us set everything up when we decided to breed our dog ( what health test she needed ) and then took her and had her bread . After the puppies were born she coached me on raising them. Now we take our dogs to her to kennel anytime we leave town. Kennels are always neat and clean . Taylor has been great

We are so thrilled to have found Taylor! She is very passionate about what she does. She clearly loves all animals. We adopted our puppy from the shelter and she was all puppy! We did a couple of private lessons with Taylor and we were so impressed with Taylor with her knowledge and handling of Monte. We decided to do the puppy board and train. I really didn’t want to leave our puppy but we had grown to love Taylor and trust her with Monte. During the two weeks that Monte was with Taylor she sent us pictures and videos so we could see Monte’s progress. Monte learned and experienced a lot. We are so happy with what Monte has learned plus was able to socialize with other animals and she loved the farm life! Our 1 year old german shepherd came to Taylor as quite a handful. She is a very sweet dog, but very high drive and has a very challenging/stubborn temperament. Taylor worked with her for three weeks and our dog, Anaka, came home a much better behaved dog! She walks so much better on the leash now and listens better. Her farm is such a great set up for training dogs. She was also able to work with our dog on her behavior around cats.Taylor was very good at communication and keeping us in the loop. She was always quick to respond to our messages. We are looking forward to our follow up visit to reinforce the skills she learned. I would feel very confident recommending her! After much thought, in January 2022, I came to the decision that I would raise a German Shepherd puppy. I looked at breeders all over the state, most of whom are backyard breeders. I found Taylor's website, and discovered that breeding and training are her jobs. She's worked with horses, and I grew up with horses. I saw photos of previous sires and knew that I wanted a puppy from Montes. I knew the puppy would be gorgeous, even though I don't plan on showing. I wanted a dog to accompany me on my short hikes through GA and SC. I was so impressed with Taylor and her professional but friendly approach to this when I did finally make the call. She had one baby left. She decided to let me have the baby that she'd planned on keeping after hearing my story of losing my previous GSD. I may be a little old but keeping up with this puppy, who is now a year old, has changed my life and it (literally) gets me up and going every day! Taylor knows her business. There is so much planning that goes into her breeding program, and I love my Luther! I cannot say enough about Taylor and her dogs!

Let me tell you about Fame Kennels.... We have an 18month old, 70 pound Kuvasz female who has never been socialized, trained or integrated into a domestic situation. She was a rescue from a breeder. The breed is independent, stubborn and protective. Put all that together and you get a dog that was really struggling to exist in our household - not even to mention as a integrated part of our family - pushing our frustrations to the point where we were possibly going to have to return her, though we were already attached. Taylor took our Toastie, or Tostito as Taylor calls her, and in 3 weeks turned into an obedient, more confident and so much more moldable dog. Before, if she went into our yard, we could NEVER get her inside without some type of trickery to chase her into our back door. She ran from us in the house and was always fearful of any new interaction, even if it was from one of us that she trusted, or seemingly trusted. It is an understatement to say that she is a new dog. She is not perfect and has a long way to go to be a true canine good citizen, but she is a dream compared to before she went to Taylor at Fame Kennels. We work with her everyday and reinforce the commands she was taught. She is getting better day by day and is gaining confidence in herself and in our household as a member of our family. Her on-leash work is simply amazing. Off-leash is great (come, sit, down) and getting better and better (have not attempted heel off-leash yet), but soon to come. We have been lax on the place command. She uses "place" to go to a spot where she feels comfortable, but not exactly to where we want her to go. We need to work on that on-leash to get her acclimated to doing it in our house. We owe so much to Taylor and her team for taking Toastie from a real challenge, to a dog that can exist and learn as a member of our family and learn to trust us. So much appreciation... If you have a dog that needs help and you are struggling like we did with getting ahead of the problems, the 90 minute drive to Ringgold, GA is sooo worth the outcome!!!!! Do yourself a favor..... When we travel it has been our pleasure to board our Border Collie with Taylor at Fame. We completely trust him in her care and have never observed or experienced a reason to cause us to think otherwise. The facilities are perfect for our boy and the care is excellent.We recently had opportunity during extended travel for Bandit to Board and Train. On pick up day I was given very specific training for handling Bandit with commands. Now after two weeks I am still amazed with the transformation of our very rowdy boy into a well trained boy. I adopted a Blue Heeler from HES who had severe dog aggression and behavioral issues. Wow. Taylor worked wonders with Boomer! We are now able to bring him over to friends' homes who own dogs and don't have to worry. Our biggest accomplishment since working with Taylor was going on a 4 mile hike with Boomer where he was exposed to dogs, runners, bikers, etc. and wasn't phased at all. I am so thankful HES referred us to Taylor and through working with her I have developed a deeper bond with my pup, Boomer.

If it were possible to give Taylor McCuiston and FAME six out of five stars we would.  When Taylor took on our 18mos old husky/shepard/terrier she was simply a mess.  Despite several previous efforts at training, our dog “Gina” would nearly pull us off our feet on walks, jump up on everyone she encountered, and terrorize the family cat.  Sending our dog to Taylor for three weeks literally transformed her.  In the summary video of week one, we saw Gina sitting calmly while cats walked around her in a circle; one even tugged on her lead line. The improved responsiveness and overall communication we now have with Gina makes the $ spent for FAME training so worthwhile. Taylor is remarkable and we would would recommend her to any dog owner, especially one with a dog that is having some issues.

Our baby girl Skye just finished four weeks of boot camp at Fame Training Academy. She knows so many commands now, walks on a leash beautifully, and is so much calmer than she was a month ago when we took her. She has grown both physically and emotionally and is ready for dining at outdoor restaurants with us, vacationing with us and being a well-behaved social butterfly wherever she goes in metro-Atlanta and beyond. We took our black lab Lizza to Taylor for the two week board and train. Lizza has so much energy she was jumping on my kids and nipping at them. We got her back from Taylor and she no longer jumps and the nipping has stopped. She also learnt heel,sit,stay,down and place. She is still learning but Taylor laid great ground work for her to succeed. If you haven't taken your dog to her you need to!!!

All we can say is WOW! Taylor is exceptional. We took our German Shepherd puppy to her starting at a young age and he has been the best ever! Roman is not even 6 months yet and we really don’t even need a leash to walk him. Taylor’s knowledge and training was perfect. She even trained us just as much on the rights and wrongs.
