The customer service there is appalling. My elderly father cannot work the self checkouts. He also pays in cash, which if you know anything about the self checkout at dollar general in Ray city, is that it does not accept cash. There is absolutely no one working up there, greeting patrons and assisting them with checking out. The staff members up there, on the occasions I’ve been in there, are always on their phones or in the back office, sitting around twiddling their thumbs. I wouldn’t have a problem with this if there wasn’t any lack of organization in the store. Everytime I go to this store the cart's (if there are any ), are always getting caught on over hang either from the aisles or stuff on the floor. There is obviously many problems with this store and I’m writing this to see the problems fixed. I’ve lived in Ray city my whole life, and know that the Dollar general is the heart of the town. I remember going into the original Dollar general and feeling the warmth and hospitality that I appreciate in a community store, but I do not feel that way with this new store, and many people feel the same way. In my opinion Dollar general needs to bring that feeling back before they loose all their business to the dollar tree/family dollar that opened up next door, because with how my impressions of this store are I will not be going back.

Store is always a mess. Stocking carts are always in the aisle. Today they were telling people if you are using debit the you must use self checkout. And if you want an employee to ring your items up then that is cash only. When is the Christmas party for us self checkout customers and when are we to expect our paychecks?

The one in ray city is too small and they keep sending stuff. So lots of l- carts in aisles. Regional manager not doing good job. I go to Adel or Walkers crossing or Lakeland. They have a beautiful store.

Very neat and clean store. Super friendly and helpful employees too. It was one of the cleanest DG stores I've seen in a long time. There a lot of empty shelves though so I dropped one star. Hopefully their truck was due in soon. I wish the store in my town was even half as clean as this store! I'll definitely stop in next time I'm in the area.

Has alot of stuff but somewhat messy and unorganized. I refuse to buy produce from here again always smells and last time I bought lettuce it had questionable brown gunk inside of the head of lettuce so yeah never again. Lines are somewhat long depending on the time of day but that is most small stores. I recommend for if you are in a hurry and need to just buy something really quick this would be a good store to do that.

I have really never cared to shop our Dollar General because of the employees attitudes. But we are a very small town, but recently when two employees are there, it's so nice. Viki and/or Eliane will greet you, tell you of the sales, bend over backwards to help you. When these two are there my shopping experience is wonderful. But the other two I now just go somewhere else.

this place is terrible. i went to the store to buy dog food and they didn’t have any, so the worker took my in the back and shot my left knee. he was mad because he wanted all the dog food to himself. even though there was no dog food he was gatekeeping the snack.

The cashier wasn't friendly at all. I can understand if it has been a long day. I work with the public too. So you have to be at least cordial. She wasn't at all

Other than the fact that an employee asked me for a cigarette once (btw I'm underage and he said that I looked like someone who does smoke) and the fact that they lied to me about having to send their boxes back to corporate when I asked for some, it's the most convenient place to buy stuff in town.

I've been in there the last three times since they remodeled it and it's been a terrible visit each time. They only have one cashier working at a time no matter how long the lines are. I'm considering doing my shopping elsewhere from here on out...

Its a good place to shop you just have a hard time getting your buggy up and down the aisles.it's always so messy.I live 5 minutes away but it is messy every day that I shop there.new crew are ok but not as friendly as the old crew

I was disgusted, I'm almost 60 yrs old and never in my life had to show an ID to buy a lighter, cigarettes yes but never to purchase a lighter. Beats all I've ever seen!
