Busy place but it’s in a busy city. I made an online order that I had to pick up in-store. It was a 2 for 1 deal on the Anvil stackable tool/tackle boxes. It was a great try deal, btw. The associates I dealt with were very friendly and helpful despite it being the day after Thanksgiving . They looked happy to be at work and people that work in retail, that are happy at work, make going to such a busy place just a little more bearable for the customer. You cannot put a price on the value of a positive (or at least positive acting) staff. I hate going to places like this but the lady that took care of my order at the online-sales register brightened up my day for no other reason than the great attitude she had. I don’t recall her name but she was a brunette. In this day and age it’s great to see folks take pride in their jobs.

Purchased a washer and dryer which was supposed to be delivered today. Received a call from delivery driver telling me they were 30-40 minutes out. Then 15 minutes later they sent a text that they could not deliver. Tried to call drivers back a was sent straight to voicemail. Called the help line in which basically we were told there was nothing they could do we just had to set up a redelivery date. Great job people! Now a day before Christmas and we have no idea when delivery will happen. What happened to being a dependable company?? Thanks for nothing.

Super disorganized store. Seems sone people don't know which items belong in which sections. Then, the help just ignores your questions and tells you to have a good day. Until AFTER you check out.

Ordered a washer, had a delivery date set for a Friday between 2-6pm. Delivery time changed 3x on that Friday and they still didn’t show. Saturday morning they noted a failed delivery attempt for that morning, totally not true.Called customer service who was very friendly, said it was all over the place and next delivery date available as that following Tuesday.Completely understand that they may be short handed and busy but zero attempt of customer service by the delivery team is what made me cancel my order. Glad I wasted a week thinking this would actually be a successful delivery.

Tried to return some grinding discs, brand new still in the packaging. Lady fights with me for 15 minutes because she thinks they have been used. Throughout the conversation, she consistently shows not only that she has no idea what the item is that I have placed in front of her, but also no idea what customer service or respect are. After wasting my time, and treating me like dirt, she finally decides to begrudgingly accept my return. Do yourself a favor and drive down to Lowe’s where they at least care for their customers. Never again will return to a Home Depot.

Scott was amazing. My three kids are currently fighting what seems like a 48-hour virus. And at the same time I'm remodeling the bathroom and the thermostat and element went bad in the water heater. He was very knowledgeable on the subject and he was very kind to physically grab the things and bring it out to my truck so that I can head back home to my sick kids. Thank you Scott

Ask for lift services took 3 trips in store to finally get someone's attention. Then took another 15 mins for one gentleman to come assist. Considering we all health issues and bad backs.It was a no brainer to ask for two people. Still had to load 8 land scapers by myself and help load

Never buy an appliance from them. The only thing that was ok was the sale. Mandatory delivery, horrible delivery company. Had to return due to incorrect installation, and they wouldn't reset the 48-hour return window. The refund took ten days, and we had to call, then get tried to still charge for delivery.

The Pooler location hours is clearly marked during the week they are open until 9:00pm and yet when you show up at 8:30 they have already locked up and won’t let you in the store to return and item. That is ridiculous. If you’re not going to stay open your marked hours you need to switch them. Whoever was on the night shift on 01/11/2023 locked up a whole half hour early and walked out and refused to provide us services. I understand it’s closing time but it wasn’t.

The Walmart of hardware. One register open with a long line. Only needed 3 things that were very small. Long walk from the parking lot which I found very strange. If you have medical problems with walking this is not the place for you at all, no places to sit and lots of employees that know where nothing is. Very uncool. Reminds me why I always go to Lowe's.

I spend a lot of plant money here. Recently got a banana tree for 29.00. Umbrella for the yard. Also Behr chaulk paint for my current project. And their Masonry paint for brick makeover and mortar between rocks!

Hands down the worse customer service you can experience comes from this store, asked 5 employees for help who only said they would have to find someone to unlock the power tools or that they dont think that persons working. Stand in line at the customer service desk only to be passed up three times while being next in line to people randomly walking up. Needless to say i wasted an 1hr and 45mins for a chainsaw i never got. So if you feel like wasting an afternoon and not gaining anything this is the perfect place!

Made a large purchase for personal work and the cashier struggled, couldn't figure out how to use my pro account or how to make the veteran discount work, and there was a clear shortage on a few items like Portland cement. But good help is hard to find and Portland is the most widely used building material and there have been shortages caused by manufacturers throughout the last couple of years on the East Coast. It's a pretty solid store for the most part, still would be happier if they carried more specialty options.

It's a no for me. TLDR - needed customer service, didn't receive any.I placed an online order for a lawn mower, edger combo kit. When I received the kit, the lawn mower was defective or damaged in transit. Not surprising when the box was delivered opened. My return options were: call and start a return with a pickup of the lawn mower by a shipping carrier, or go to the nearest Home Depot and return the item. I went with option two since I wanted to process a return and purchase a new mower at the Home Depot and avoid potentially receiving another damaged mower. Well it turns out an in-store return of a combo kit requires both items be returned at the same time. I understand that can be a requirement when someone no longer wants either one of the items, but I actually did want the mower. The customer service personnel had zero empathy for my situation and simply stated there wasn't anything they or their manager could do. Quick background - I've worked in retail customer service before and know that you can do just about anything you want to help out a customer... If you want to. So it was plainly obvious the employee responsible for customer service didn't want to help me out. Well Home Depot store #179 I'm not going to help you out anymore with my patronage.

This is why I go to Lowes. As a female no know said hello when you walk in. I literally walked up to an employee and said “excuse” and they said and ignored me for a solid minute. When I asked if there was anyone working in the doors section, I was told “oh they are at lunch.” Well thanks for that. Maybe ask the customer what they need to see if you can help them. I guess putting screws away is way more important than helping the customer. Oh but it get worse. Then after they paged for assistance needed at the doors desks, two male employees walked past me at two different times and didn’t even ask if I needed help or if I had been helped.

Don’t shop here if you need any power tools or anything else behind a locked gate. Also. The men’s room was disgusting. Not surprising considering nobody works at this store apparently.Crazy that I can go in to a store ready to spend hundreds of dollars and walk out empty handed because there’s not a single employee in the entire store except for the cashiers. I’ll stick to buying my tools online from now on. Or at Lowe’s.If you’re going to put all the tools behind locked gates, maybe make sure that there’s somebody there to unlock them for customers. The cashier called on the intercom for somebody to come. Nobody ever did. I walked around the entire store twice and did not see a single employee other than the cashier at the paint desk, the pro desk, and the self checkout. The cashier called for assistance on the intercom again. And nobody came. So I just left all my items right where they were and left.The cashiers were fine. They did what they could to help. They called for an associate to come to assist me but they couldn’t do it themselves because they have to stay at their station and they don’t have the keys.

This Home Depot is very clean and easy to shop. The employees are helpful and the self checkout is a breeze. The app makes it even easier to find what you need. They have good competitive prices and returns are easy too.

They claim they don’t have any cashiers and they have all self check outs open. We the customer don’t want to use a computer to checkout, we like the customer interaction with the actual cashier.During my visit all registers were closed, they claimed that they are low on staff, but there was lots of employees just hanging around the store pretending to look busy.How is it that there’s no one in the appliance department? I bet you go as far as to but a self checkout out there!Bring back the cashiers! Stop being a penny pincher.
