I recently adopted a rescue rabbit and had to get in quickly to make sure she was okay! The staff were so welcoming and helpful! They got me an appointment pretty quickly. When I brought her in the facility was super clean! Dr Wilkinson answered all of my questions and addressed all concerns. I feel comfortable leaving my girl in her hands for her spay procedure. I’m so happy to have a vet in the area that is equipped to treat animals besides cats and dogs! I highly recommend this office!

Taking good care of my sweet ball python. They are very clean, and all of the faculty are nice. The vet I saw was very thorough and informative. She was gentle with my Cinnamon, and informed me of all the costs that treatment would require. After I checked out I was given a detailed paper on the examination she performed, and about the treatments he would been taking.

I went for the first time to have my two female guinea pigs checked out and to get their nails trimmed, and I was amazed by how knowledgeable and professional they were! They were all so nice, and took great care of my babies, and were in no rush to get us out the door to teach us how to administer antibiotics to my coco(the one on the left), who has a UTI! A huge thank you to the vets for treating my furry prides of joy like their own! I HIGHLY recommend them!❤️❤️❤️

It was truly a blessing to find this clinic in the area per my opossum needs as the rather simple procedure was forcing me to look to far away states. Having never trekked this type of pursuit it seemed daunting but Avian made it a very welcoming, educational and hospitable path. Everyone was very hospitable, conscientious and thorough from start to finish and Porter recovering very well!

We took our little beardie for his first appointment and it went very well!! The nurse and vet were very knowledgeable and so good with our little guy. It was very affordable, even leaving with meds for him. I would highly recommend!

I drive an hour to get to this clinic, not because there aren’t any closer, because it’s the best clinic that I have found for my exotics. The staff is excellent, the veterinarian very knowledgeable and informative (in a “language” that I understand, lol), and they are more than attentive to my pet’s needs. They show that they care. The fact that they have all been so friendly and helpful puts this clinic at the top of my list. I was a vet tech for 12 years and, believe me, I have visited many clinics since we moved to this area 18 years ago. When you find the best, you stay with them!!!

I had a traumatic loss many years ago, my Scarlet/Green Wing Macaw passed away (did not use this vet) 16-17 years later I’m a new momma to an Umbrella Cockatoo. A week ago she got the sniffles. I was so highly emotional and scared. To start the front desk were very helpful kind and patient. Even after my many calls over a two day period. Couldn’t have asked for better care in that department. On our vet visit I was full of questions from one topic to the next. The vet never rushed me. She answered each question and reassured me on things good and things that needed to be cared for. It’s very nice to have someone talk with me not at me. Especially when one is as worried as I was at the time. We came up with a very reasonable medical plan that I felt confident in doing. By the end of our visit I knew without a doubt Sissy Pink would be okay and so was this parrot momma. Thanks again to the amazing staff for all the care, follow up call, and kindness.

I've been going to Avian & Exotic since they first opened. Dr Wilkinson is the sweetest, extremely knowledgable and has helped me so much with the care of my birds. All the staff and even other vets that have grown with the practice are just as sweet, knowledgeable and trustworthy!! Their boarding is amazing as well. I haven't had any problems and my bird never looks stressed or anything when I pick her up. I can wholeheartedly say I trust them with every decision and offer they have ever given for the wellbeing of my animals. I now just have one bird who without the dedicated care of helping figure out what was wrong, I'm not sure I would still have her here today. I highly recommend this Vet and for anyone who is looking for a vet who treats their clients and pets like family! I pray they never leave the area! They are simply amazing!!!

My ferret became extremely sick one night and I called the next morning and was able to be seen as soon as I could get there as an emergency work in visit. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. I have only been to the office twice, one for a check up when i first became a ferret mom and now with our emergency, but both times now I have been beyond impressed with the care. They always keep you in the know and actually spend time with you and your pet unlike other places. Additionally they always make sure you get the most bang for your buck and try to make sure your pet can leave healthy with the best price. Even after being seen, Dr. Wilkinson sent me a personal email letting me know further steps that can be taken if she does not feel better and how I could come right back in if I saw no improvement. I cannot thank this office enough for seeing us yesterday, it means the world to us!

This is the best vet!! They did great taking care of our guinea pig "Kutz"". They were all very kind and caring! She was very good at handling Kutz, gentle with him, and very knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything in detail, as well as included detailed notes on our paperwork. Which, I love because I could relate back to the papers when in doubt, instead of calling and asking them questions too much. Loved this vet and will definitely use them in the future.

Took my turkeys in yesterday morning and had a wonderful experience. I've had snakes, dogs, cats, mice, rats, and indoor birds in the past and have lived in 3 states with 4-5 normal vets and an additional 6 specialist vets for different species and health issues for my animal family and really enjoyed my experience here. They were very respectful and knowledgeable. And seemed totally at easy having my turkeys in the clinic. They really helped me relax about my concerns and discovered a totally unrelated issue that made me think it was something else. I am recommending this clinic to all of my game bird and chicken friends.

I traveled 2 hours from Charleston to see Dr Wilkinson and happy I did! Did not feel rushed, discussed all my concerns. Her tech was also very versed in how to handle a large macaw….they trimmed his nails for me, did his blood and fecal work on him. This is a hidden gem!!!! And I’m happy I found them.

Dr Miller and all the staff members are very caring and professional. Our bunny Niyam got spaded and they were so good even post surgery, specially Vanessa and Danielle the technicians helped us out tremendously by making sure Niyam took the critical care + his meds well enough for few days until he was able to eat on his own.Thank you so much for all you have done!Definitely take your pets to this office as needed..won’t regret at all!~ Sweeney Patel

If you have an exotic and live within driving distance, you need to try Avían and Exotic Animal Hospital. They are phenomenal and truly understand how much our exotic means to us. They even do follow up phone calls after visits! We wouldn’t dream of taking our Roxi to anyone else.

The best vet I have ever been too. Just came for a checkup for my bearded dragon and they helped me so much! They really make sure you are set up correctly and care about the animal. They even called to see how he was doing. We will be back for sure thank you! Also very reasonably priced! I didn't think I could be in and out in an exotic vet for less than $120 after finding out he had a parasite!

Have three gal rats who I got from Petco, but have been in great health until a large bump appeared (resembling a tumor). Panicking, I was able to get an appointment the next day (10:35am) with this business and was then able to schedule an appointment for surgery the very next day. Everyone was extremely sweet and handled Eight (my rat’s name) very gently, especially since she is very shy. No surgery has happened yet, but I feel extremely confident after having a very informative and realistic conversation with the doctor and nurses. I’m 19 years old and a college student, but there are payment options available (Care credit, which the doctor was kind enough to inform me about) and the price overall is extremely reasonable so I don’t feel too overwhelmed. I really look forward to saving enough money to take my other two girls here in the near future! :)

OMG, I cannot sing their praises enough!!! I have never taken my guinea pig to the vet so I had many many questions but they never made me feel silly for asking questions and they made me feel incredibly reassured! They showed so much love to my 6-year-old piggy and truly treated her as an individual pig and respected her quirks. They called me a few days after leaving their office with a happy healthy guinea piggy just to make sure she was still okay which was honestly so incredibly kind. Thank y'all for the peace of mind and the care over Ms. Juno! :)

My Yellow-Bellied Slider Turtle was sick and didn't know what was wrong. So I call Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital and the got us in right away. Dr Stacey was Very professional and very knowledgeable on turtles. After 5 days on the medicine Shelly is starting to feel a little better. We definitely will be back because I have another turtle that needs a check up.
