Park was great, the kids went Alligator sighting nearby. The Camp host was great, we had a wonderful time. They have Popsicles for all the kids! A nice treat ❤️I must say the price for firewood is getting expensive. $8 per bundle which has about 6 decent size pieces. I did put the kids to work so they brought back a few branches from the nearby woods. We did not get a chance to go on the water because we went hiking at the nearby Cloudland Canyon. The views were breathtaking. Most scenic is 4, 5 and 8. We did visit all the others but did them in that order. A must see if you are camping nearby. It's very wet there so have good shoes. And the kids all wanted to play in the mud/sand. Make sure have change of clothes. Please note that the pictures are tagging as Florence Maria State Park but this is where we camped. The pictures are of nearby Cloudland Canyon State park.

The wife and I decided to make a trip south to Florence. Marina couldn’t evict a better place to go experience Providence Canyon, the historic part of Eufaula, eight, and a couple of small diners strongly recommend, also got to do some hiking, and we went to the refuge, and drove around and found a couple of bald eagles nest also in the camp there is active alligators very cool creatures with turtles and large pelicans. Everyone was friendly easy to get to big rig, friendly tent, camping and small rigs. There’s a laundromat that’s clean those that like to hike and there’s plenty to do there’s a little place to play putt putt. You won’t get bored for a four day getaway strongly recommend.Restrooms: Very niceDog-friendliness: Everyone was dog friendly, everyone kept their dogs on a leash. They were all well mannered no barking there’s a beer brewery down the street that’s dog friendly.Picnic area: The picnic area at my camper was great lol

We had a wonderful stay at Florence Marina State Park while exploring Providence Canyon. The main attractions are the campground and the marina that gives you access to the Chattahoochee River. The bathrooms were very clean and had two washers and two dryers. We had great conversations with the camp host at the campground. They were very helpful and friendly. To see our adventures, subscribe to SIMPLE LIFE BIG ADVENTURES on YouTube.Playground: There were a few small playgrounds.

We stayed for the night before visiting the canyon. The facilities are well maintained. No bugs on light fixtures, no spider webs. Heater working, hot water working well. Super quiet (taking into consideration it is winter and barely anyone there). Washing machine and dryer available. Good parking spaces.Restrooms: Just the facilities alone is a plus at this place. Worth the stay.

Very nice state park. If you have a boat and camper this is a great stay! Rained our first day which it doesn’t matter where you stay it is going to be messy. Close to Providence Canyon, Lake Eufaula, historical landmarks, etc.

Nice quiet park. The sites need some work, though, pinestraw and leaves could be cleaned up better, and actual sites are all grass with no concrete area to park your camper. Some sites are uneven and hold water when it rains. There is a small mini golf course and swings that overlook the lake. Also, there are a few nice trails and areas to walk your dog. There are a few small areas to fish from, and fish cleaning houses too. They have a clubhouse that is available for rental.

Spent three nights at this campground in mid December. We chose it because of its location near Providence Canyon State Park. Camping takes place in a big field so there’s not much privacy between campsites. It was a very sleepy time of year to visit and not much happening. I did have boat rentals, but it was too cold to explore the lake.Nice camp store.

Typical small lake with a boat ramp, marina, campground for tents and RVs (full hookups $40). There is a visitor center with store, live bait and miniature golf, restrooms with showers and laundry facility.

Excellent park situated right on the Alabama-Georgia border. The sunsets will convince you the sun sets in Alabama.Clean, courteous and not over crowded. The best of everything.

We stayed at Florence Marina for 3 nights at the end of September, 2023 primarily to visit Providence Canyon State Park. It's a beautiful little park with spacious sites, it's quiet and friendly with helpful staff and volunteers. We enjoyed riding our bikes around although the park is not very big and we enjoyed watching the sunsets each evening, as well as strolling on the short little path. Would stay again if passing through that area.

This is a perfectly lovely state park. We came here directly from Providence Canyon, which if you were trying to knock out all of the state parks is about 14 minutes down the road. The entrance has no fee as there is no attendant there. This is just as the name would describe one very large Marina with a lot of camping. The welcome center is very small, but the lady there was very polite and nice and the kids but ice cream here. The marina itself houses almost 40% of the houseboats in Georgia! Lol there are warning signs for alligators everywhere and the whole place is very quiet without much traffic at all even on a weekend day when we visited. The main RV campsite has a camp host, and we found out after the fact that you need to go here if you want to get golf clubs to go, play putt putt! This is very unfortunate since we thought you would get the pipette gear at the welcome center, this is not the case! So we missed out on putt puttThe views from the RV lot are decent, and the backend has a small view of the lake itself. We saw some cabins, but we did not stay in them. Two of them have a view of the lake that we saw.Not much here, however, there’s nothing bad to say about it.

This place is amazing. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. I definitely see why this place is booked up so quickly. We will definitely be back! The hosts on-site are fantastic! Thank you Mike and Kathy for making us feel so welcome!

If renting a cottage avoid #12. The inside needs updating. We also had issues with one of the shower heads not working correctly & had to use some duck tape & zip ties to hold it in place! The unit wasn't cleaned very well before our arrival. The fridge ice maker didn't work. We did enjoy the area itself.

Camping at this site was a blessing, staff is incredibly nice and helpful. There's all the amenities you might need, it's comfortable and pricing was affordable. Staff at reservation were helpful at accomodating us. Loved the Comfort Zone, awesome bathroom and washer & dryers.

Lovely quiet campground. Level sites and well kept. Weak internet. Clean restrooms but lukewarm water in shower.Site 13 was a pull through and level and shady. Site 14 is only for small/tiny campers!Putt putt course is very basic but something to do. Good place for fishing.Close to Providence Canyon state park and only 45 min to Columbus. We went to Coca Cola Space Science Center, which is small, but interesting

We rented one of the efficiency cottages for a few nights. We really enjoyed our stay here. We loved getting to see all the gators. For $75 a night, we had everything we needed in the cottage and the playground was right across from us…but so was a graveyard. The Rangers were all really nice but there were a few negatives…not the parks fault but there were a lot of gnats, and storms knocked the power out. Those are just things that happen. But you can tell a good bit of the park is not maintained and money is not spent on this park. There is trash all along the lake shore. There was a massive hole along the lake line that isn’t marked or covered that I fell into, and luckily didn’t break my leg. The putt putt is not maintained at all and there are no signs to tell you what the trails are. There were a couple small trails that we enjoyed walking. But one, we came upon a huge pile of gravestones. Turns out they were styrofoam and must be for a Halloween thing. The guy at the front desk acted very annoyed that we wanted to just check out the gift shop. My two kids like to do the Junior Ranger books but because they’re so young, sometimes we just do it together as a family. No other park has minded and always seems happy to have kids get involved. He told us he couldn’t give both my kids a badge because they did the book together.

We stayed in cabin 13. Very quiet and peaceful. TV only had one channel coming in which was a blessing in disguise... Spent some great family time. As of 1/1/2024, looked like updates on cabin 11 and 12. We love to stay here again in near future

Beautiful quiet park. Very friendly volunteers. 1st day, there were storms coming in, and we were told if it gets bad that we all should head to the main building for safety. It was refreshing to know that we were being looked out for.

First-ever time at this park. Absolutely loved it. Only negative is the boat slips. We brought our boat, not knowing the lake was full of gators..we still enjoyed riding the lake.. but had it been the busier fishing season, we wouldn't have been able to leave it in the water. All the slips are permanently rented out with a waiting list, and some people are allowed to rent more than one. There were even people living on the boats.. cheap rental..60 -80.00 a month.. we can't rent a campsite that cheap.. surprised the State park system allows this to happen.. anyway,, were allowed to keep ours at the fuel slips..The Staff was FANTASTIC and the park was beautiful and clean! Loved it overall!

This is a fantastic park! We camped after bikepacking all day and the people were wonderful to work with. The campground was nearly full but you would not know it, the layout is well done and there is plenty of room at each site. The bathhouse was clean, large, and well stocked. The river views are beautiful with lots of wildlife to entertain you. Store has many necessities plus bait/tackle, souvenirs, and snacks.Wish I could have played putt-putt, but alas, my legs were tired after 60 miles of riding a bicycle. There is always next time!

We enjoyed our stay in the campground. Site 26 is close to the next sites sewer pipe. Our neighbors had good connections and no issues. Just a little tight in this part of the campground. Site was clean and cable, 30amp and 15amp worked. Plenty of water pressure. Site level gravel and a little sand here and there. Good fields for throwing football, frisbee or whatever. Nice views of the river. Fishing dock a little tired but functional. We caught no fish from the dock. Close location to visit Providence Canyon SP, 15 minutes away. Richland Rum is about 30 minutes away and worth the time for a tour. We would return to Florence Marina campground in the future.

What a beautiful and serene campground!! Clean bath house and a cute little store. I opted for the camper/trailer parking area and it was very well kept and easy to find my space. They do have cabins and there were some tent campers as well. Nice nature trails and dock for fishing. Sunsets were outstanding.Be sure to set your phone so that it doesn’t update time automatically, because while the park is in Eastern Time Zone, you’re close enough to Alabama that you’ll be picking up Central Time Zone towers.

Great location to the Providence Canyon State Park if you’re looking to head there during your stay and you have check out the Omaha Brewing Company. Beside that the room was minimally cleaned at best with 3 dead cockroaches immediately upon entry. Many more live small cockroaches were seen that evening, as well as, the second evening we toughed it out there. Opening cabinets and drawers roaches were in and under everything. I really wish the upkeep of the facility was better as this was ideal location for our visit. If you do stay, be prepared to have cockroaches as infecting roommates.

Great state park! Just don't plan to swim: the lake is full of damn gators. Don't plan to work either: bad mobile data. Otherwise, a perfect place to relax, kayak, boat, fish, hike and of course camp!

Love this Campground. Friendly staff. Picnic table, fire ring, and BBQ grill on every campsite. Full hookups. If you arrive after 10 pm, it is not way to get in the Campground because the park closes the gate at 10 pm. You need an access code, which is provided when you check in. I will definitely be back here. The park is close to Providence Canyon State Park, the main reason we came here.

We had a wonderful time at Florence Marina State Park while exploring Providence Canyon. The campground was beautiful and quiet. We met the campground hosts, and they were awesome. The other attraction of the park is the marina that gives you access to the Chattahoochee River. To see our adventures subscribe to our YouTube channel. 😀Restrooms: The bathrooms were very clean. One of the showers was extra large to make it handicap accessible. There were two washers and two dryers.

Excellent park in a great location. The park is well kept, the bathhouses are modern and clean, the sites are well-kept, the staff nice and helpful, and access to the river is a big plus. This is our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. The pull-through sites are large and almost all sites are full hook up.There are good restaurants and stores within driving distance (about 15-20 miles). Not a problem for us, as we love the quiet. There is a decent camp store at the park visitors center, which has some essential items. Just note that the closest gas station is out 15 miles away.Like many of Georgia State Parks, this is a must stay, when in the area.

My dad and I went there last weekend and it was a real decent place to camp out in. The only hurdle I didn't expect was that our campsite was prone to floods due to cold, rainy weather that night. No wonder it became the wettest campout I've ever had in my life.

Awesome state park. Nice forestry, lake flat paved surfaces and gift shop. Went when it was warm so there were a LOT of gnats and flies, to be expected. Only needs work on the guest houses and mini golf course, not maintained at all.
