Would give zero stars if possible (and this review keeps getting taken down so clearly it’s something they don’t want anyone to see). If you have a large dog like a German shepherd for example, do not take them here. Our family German shepherd was a patient here. Our beloved Zeus was misdiagnosed several times over and ended up with a severe infection in the spinal column. A purebred and strong animal at the start, this dog was reduced to a paralyzed shell of his former self. And he was not the first to suffer this fate, another German shepherd in Dr. Sprott’s care went the same way (scroll through the comments to find that review). Zeus had more years left to live and thanks to this doctor’s incompetence he was robbed of it. Zeus deserved better (and I wish my parents would’ve changed vets back when this all started). I see smaller animals have better luck with this doctor but personally I wouldn’t take any of my animals here.Update: on May 3rd, my mother called for test results for her surviving dog. The vet took “precautions and wanted to run tests” on the second dog to ensure that that animal was in the clear (despite the fact that there was a misdiagnosis and he had it wrong the entire time so this was ,in my opinion, a money grab). My mother let the receptionist know that Zeus was put down over the weekend…the receptionist had NOT ONE WORD OF EMPATHY to offer and the vet didn’t even bother to call to express his grief over his lost patient. Disgusting behavior. Empathy needs to exist in this practice. It doesn’t exist at Newnan Animal Hospital. Go elsewhere.P.S. I posted the original review Sunday, April 30th. It has been CONTINUOUSLY reported/deleted since then. I’ll be checking on it from here out. What happened to Zeus with this vet will be remembered and it will not be erased. Shame on this vet for attempting to erase this sad bit of history. If I can help save another big dog from suffering this fate, it’ll be well worth it.

I brought my dog here because she had a severe allergic reaction to something. My takeway was two fold. First the staff really care about the well being of your pet. The doctor took alot of time to explain what was wrong and how we could treat/prevent this problem in the future. It really is rare to find a provider that will treat your baby not only with appropriate medications, but that will actually take the time to provide education and understanding of issues so you can be a better "at home" provider. Secondly, the prices were refreshingly reasonable. I have had alot of bad experiences with other vets in the area that charge exorbitant prices for a visit and leave you feeling like you've been scammed into handing over your mortgage payment. This was not the case here and my bill was incredibly low for what I felt I received in return. This place was amazing.

Always a great experience! Loving, caring and knowledgeable staff. They explain things well and always include me in my dogs plan of care. Professional atmosphere- staff has a lot of patience when handling my overly anxious dog. Would not trust my dog's care to anyone else but Newnan Animal Hospital. Facility is clean and well organized- reasonable pricing.

I went in just before closing time as a somewhat emergency. I’m a truck driver and just finding a place I was able to park was tough enough let alone a veterinarian open later than others, but they took us in no problem. Dr Protts knowledge was astounding. His methods of conveying the situation in a manner that one can understand really helps to put one at ease. I am grateful that I found this place last minute. Dr Sprott and his staff are the best. My bestest buddy in the whole wide world is now A-ok thanks to them.

Dr Sprott and the staff at Newnan Animal Hospital are so caring and knowledgeable. I have full confidence that when one of my 5 fur babies is sick, they'll be able to help them get well quickly. They're easy to work with, very friendly, and follow-up with you after the visit to see how the patient is doing. Don't hesitate to bring your animals when your animals need excellent medical care.

My biggest regret was not leaving this place sooner when I had a gut feeling they weren’t doing the right thing and just milking it for more money. I had gone to Dr Sprott for years for yearly checkups and annual shots, But, when my dog got an ear infection and Dr Sprott continued to prescribe the same treatment over three different visit as the ear infection continued to get worse. I had boarded home there for one day while I had to got out of town thinking he would be in better hands than my normal kennel, but when I came back he could barely walk and I had to lift him up to get into my vehicle. Tiffany said he did great and I asked her if she had watched him as he walked out? She did not reply and said she would talk with the lady who watches the dogs in their kennel. Letter Tiffany called me and let me know he had bee'n throwing up bile all night. When asked if they had treated him, they had not. When asked why they didn’t call me or a vet, they didn’t have a response. Instead they knowingly left my dog to suffer all night rather do/call someone. This was the last straw and I took my dog to a different vet, who had quickly identified the problems and correct treatment. But it was too late, the infection had gotten too bad and did internal damage, and my once active and playful German shepherd was paralyzed. And eventually put down after trying several other treatments hoping me might get some mobility back.My best advice is to stay far away from this place..Oct. 23 2023 - Its 2 years since I lost my dog

I can't say enough about Dr Sprott and his staff. We had to let our sweet girl go this morning, and the love and care this office has shown to her the last two days she's been there round the clock, the dedication to doing everything possible to save her, and the incredible compassion shown to our family as we made this difficult decision is something I've never experienced from another vet's office. My dog liked her other vets well enough. We jokingly called Dr Sprott her boyfriend because she loved him so much. And he's only been her vet for a year. He takes the time to fully explain what's going on with your animal and make sure you understand. He keeps his prices low so that care is affordable. He loves your animals while caring for them. I will forever recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Sprott, Tiffany and the entire staff are wonderful and caring. We had our 17 yr old senior cat's teeth treated and cleaned here. When she had become weak due to kidney and bladder infections, Dr. Sprott provided the best care and meds to help her and help her eat more. We sadly had to let her go due to her old age and declining health. Everyone showed so much compassion, care, and respect to our cat and family. This place truly gives genuine love, time, and care. Also, all the services done were reasonably priced.But honestly, above all else - they are considerate, especially when dealing with the last moments shared.

Doc is the best! He’s never in a rush and answers every question. And I have lots of questions. Lol. I also like that he talked about putting together a wellness plan over the next few months. The techs here are incredibly kind and excellent at their work. Dr. Sprott is the most caring vet I've ever been to, he really knows what he's doing and truly cares about animals. Been taking my babies here for years and haven't had a single bad experience.

Dr. Sprott is the ONLY veterinarian I would ever recommend. He will not leave that room until anything and everything has been explained in detail. The best! Dr. Sprott has saved my little boy's life 3 times. My Jack is almost 11 years old and things seem to ail him more and more these days. However, Dr. Sprott shows up in his cape and saves the day! I'll say it again, THE BEST!

They told me their vet specialized in rabbits & they DONT ! He told me my rescue was a girl. It was DEFINITELY NOT. and he clipped every nail WAY to short and now my rabbit a year later is traumatized to get his nails done. I don’t like to give bad reviews even when I’m unhappy which is why it took me a minute to do this one. And I’m sure he is a great vet from your normal house pets. But Rabbit owner please get a real exotic vet because they are not

I would give Dr Sprott and Tiffany 10 stars if I could. They responded to my dogs needs even though we had not been their clients. My Pupster started having seizures Sunday night and I called his office Monday morning and they came to assist putting our big guy down. The gentle loving care and the details of the process were the most comforting at such a hard time. Thank you Dr. Sprott and Tiffany for helping to ease us through this. I wish human doctors had his bedside manner.

Dr. Sprott is very friendly and knowledgeable. Just be careful if you have a pet with recurring needs. Our dog needs a steroid vaccination monthly and they charge a full exam fee ($40) every time. This is in addition to the price of the shot. I don't mind a small fee for technician-type services, but this is a bit excessive... No other place we have been previously has charged in addition to the price of the monthly shot.

Leaving emotions aside, I lost my dog today that I had for 10 years, I loved him and I’ve done what I can considering his condition, I’ve taken him here and they provide good service but the reason for the 3 stars is the pricing, I’m deeply ashamed for humanity to take advantage of people during hard times. I’m not necessary saying they done that but as much I wanted to treat my dog for his Illness, it wasn’t affordable for me, I love my dog but nobody should go into debt by going to the vet. It’s sad when going to the vet is more expensive than people going to the doctor. We went to a mobile vet today who charged us $50 for multiple treatments, and meds meanwhile we paid $600 here for the SIMILAR TREATMENTS. It’s disappointed, but I understand it’s a business and most of us wants to be rich.

Dr. Sprott is great! He saw my Dixie girl for an urgent appointment when another local vet turned her away. He is super smart and was really caring. Normally Dixie does not like men but she was calm around him which was helpful! He thanked me for bringing her in and took the time to explain to me how/why she got her infection and exactly what kind of treatment plan she was going to need. The ladies in the office were really nice too! Thanks for getting her in on short notice, you now have a reoccurring patient for life!

Dr. Sprott is so wonderful. You can just tell how much he cares about animals. He is so knowledgeable, but not bumptious at all. You just know that your companion animal is in great hands with him. I can't recommend him enough.

Went to see Dr Sprott today with a very old, very sick kitty. He explained what our options could be, as well as what could possibly be causing her not to eat or drink. My decision was ultimately humane euthanasia, as she was clearly suffering. He and his staff were so gentle and kind to her. I will be forever grateful.

Dr Sprot knew my dog was becoming toxic because he could not pee due to blockage from a bladder stone. He did nothing to help you but made sure he took everything off my Care credit card he told me to apply for. Before this I would have referred him to anyone but now I think he's over charging pay for that new building he said he hasn't got paid for yet.

Dr. Sprott helped us say goodbye to our 13 year old beagle. He sat and took the time to explain what was happening to our kids (he always educates at every appointment). He even let them borrow a book to read about where dogs go after they die. He asked if it was ok first, showing us the book. Wonderful man and vet.
