Boarding your fur baby here is so easy. The pups get their own mini house with a covered front porch and yard. This was our first time boarding my bestfriend and she was well taken care of. I loved the mini report that was written about my pups visit. Thanks Danielle

My search for a puppy was getting frustrating! After searching pet stores, Internet advertisements and different shelters, someone recommended Cross Critters Rescue. From day one, step by step, Danielle Cross assisted me in finding the perfect puppy. She is very professional, knowledgeable and takes great care of every animal there. I adopted a 4 month old lab mix and she’s fully vetted, spayed and even microchipped. I would highly recommend Cross Critters Rescue!

Before I begin, I want to say that I do believe this rescue has the absolute best interest of their animals at heart and wants to save as many as possible. However, the method by which that was translated to us while adopting our pup was nothing short of deceit. We brought home a sweet 8-month-old pup, whom we've named Lucy, from an adoption event a month ago. We fell in love with her demeanor the moment we met her, and proceeded to ask questions to one of the women representing the rescue. We wanted to make sure the dog would be a good fit for our family, home, and lifestyle before making a serious decision (since we believe that animals are a lifelong commitment, not a short-term choice "for fun"). We knew what we were capable of handling at this stage in our lives, and we wanted to be sure we could give a dog what s/he needed. This woman appeared confidently familiar with the dog and told us repeatedly that the dog was housetrained, crate-trained, and great with kids and cats (we have a cat, 2 young children, and a baby on the way). After spending about an hour getting to know the dog and talking to the rescue about the dog's background, foster life, and behavior, (again being reassured that she was housebroken and trained), we decided to go for it.We FULLY expected a transition and acclimation period, including numerous possible accidents, as Lucy adjusted to her new home. However, after a few weeks of concerning and puzzling behavior, I reached out to the rescue to get in touch with Lucy's foster to see what changes we may need to make to her schedule and routine to start seeing the behavior we were told about. After speaking extensively with the dog's foster, I was shocked to learn that Lucy had NEVER lived in a house in her life and had therefore never been housetrained or crate-trained like we were promised. While Lucy is indeed super sweet and gentle with our children, literally nothing else is true that we were told about her. Every room in our house now smells like urine, she has destroyed countless items and our yard, and she isn't improving after a month of intentional relationship-building and training. We spend time with her, try to play with her, make sure she gets exercise and isn't bored, and use plenty of positive reinforcement. We don't know what else to do at this point except fume that we were told a story. We feel absolutely deceived into buying this dog. Again, we are not ignorant to the fact that dogs require time to build trust, great patience, and love; we adopted her because we felt we could provide her those things. However, we were straight-up LIED to and led to believe that this dog was a great fit for our family. I feel like we were told anything we wanted to hear. Now we're stuck with a pet that brings us 98% stress and 2% joy.I've seen this rescue bash customers on social media for returning animals. It just really makes me wonder how many more families were lied to in order to make room for another animal.

This lady was very rude to me on the phone and tried to give me a whole lecture about the cat I’m trying to get help for that was just abandoned at my apartment building and is in terrible shape. Before I let myself get too upset I said thank you and hung up. She then proceeded to text my cellphone telling me how rude I was and that she was going to help me and that I will get nowhere helping this cat with my attitude. I cannot believe the audacity of this woman and the fact that she apparently helps saves cats but is going to decide not to help this one because of a persons said “attitude”. Danielle Cross has made me realize that most of these shelters don’t care about these animals full heartedly and that is truly sad. And I will never recommend anyone to go to her EVER.
