Okays so, This random dog came to our house and this dog was aggresive. So me and my mom decide to call the animal shelter, we tell how the dog looks like and our address and we wait. 1 week later and they're not here so we call again and they tell us that "they're busy" because theres animals in the city so we just say okay. 1 months later STILL NOT HERE so we call again and they tell us the same thing so we say alright. Another month later still NOT HERE and we just kept it. Then one of our neighbors calls us about what the dog did to their cat and they were mad but its not our fault that ANIMAL CONTROL HASN'T ARRIVED YET. Then our dog and the random dog get into fights alot like... please come and get it. SO moultire animal shelter if you are reading this then wow just wow not even doing good work😑

Make the adoption process extremely hard.. very rude misunderstood a lot of what was said and the lady in the front made up lies about what her and my daughter talked about which is extremely weird because most animals go to a rescue shelter or end up euthanized. Very unprofessional staff very poor management and I very seriously doubt if the big one with the nose ring can take care of her 20 dogs if something were to happen to them. Yet they refused me because my dog was not up to date on one shot and I told my daughter to pick up her “damn dog” (a chihuahua) when they were bringing out a bigger dog. Poor helpless miserable people that care nothing about these dogs. When they brought buddy to us he was covered in pee and poop. Save your time and money go elsewhere.

They’re the only shelter who answered the phone within a two-hour radius of Tallahassee, FL. Their spay/neuter voucher wasn’t honored anywhere in Tallahassee, but it doesn’t matter, our Doug is a perfect boy and we love him.

Great place to get a animal! Friendly people with extensive knowledge of animals. They have a large variety of animals, from puppies to kittens. Highly recommend going here & u will be saving an animal.

Animals are sick within days of coming home. They are fine when adopted then get sick after spay/neuter before you can pick them up. *** edit to add, staff and director are good people. They do what they can. This is our second adoption with the same pattern after sterilization procedure. The vet they use I think is more the problem.

All the staff are just wonderful, very nice, and know how to take care of those poor animals. They do have a home there and justing loved by the staff, they really take care of them. So hurry up there and adopt your pet today. The animals can't wait till someone does give them a new home they only want to be loved again ♥️♥️

they killed my dog who was never aggressive towards people and said she was aggressive. this place is not humane and it is the worst business ive ever seen there place is horrible. they spray pets with a water bottle 2 times a day to "clean them" its not humane and im going to sue them.

I am absolutely impressed with our humane society in Moultrie.I spend at least 2 hours walking through and looking at all the animals. There were people everywhere cleaning up intending to them. The staff was great. I went in to purchase one pet and came out with two. The director was very sweet and kind and enjoy very much talking with her. Also have had the opportunity to get to know the new director.

I worked here and this facility is not at all what it puts off to be. The animals are never bathed. I worked there for almost a year and never was instructed to wash any dog. People donate things and they never get used. People waist their money on treats and wet food and blankets and beds. They stay in a storage room.! Only pregnant or nursing dogs get wet food and a blanket. The cats and dogs only get fed once a day. And the management is just a joke.! They don’t make sure the ALL the dogs get taken out and walked everyday. Most of the people you see running around doing things is community service people. The actual staff never does any real Necessary work. The guidelines and regulations they are supposed to follow that they make you read so you know how to do your job, They don’t even enforce You to work at quality standards. I honestly don’t know how they are still open but then again it is Moultrie so what else can we expect.

If we truly want to help the animals of the county, please make donations, take in dog and cat supplies and food, volenteer, save your aluminum cans and metal to drop at the distribution site. We are all capable to help in some way. Wonderful people work with these animals, they are 4 legged hearts and soul's, adopt, if you would like a pet, I'm getting a wonderful grant so my cat can be fixed. Pray, God created all creatures great and small and they deserve life, kindness and love. Cheers to this fine establishment! Always Love!

We found a stray dog and her puppies and took them here. The staff was friendly and courteous, accommodating and really seemed to care for the animals left in their care. I have and will continueto recommend them to friends. If you're looking for a good place to donate pet related products, sheets, blankets, and / or towels, or even a little money, this is a great place to give to.

We adopted our baby from there. They were great for him and helping with looking at the animals. They did a vet check and a home check which I truly appreciate. Too many people are irresponsible with their animals. Especially considering our doggy we adopted was known as an escape artist as that's why he ended up there as an owner surrender. However, now the negative.... We live out in the county. They will not service us to pick up animals unless they are sick or injured. And even then it's questionable. If you are not able to physically catch and carry an animal to them, they are left to starve or whatever means people out here or nature disposed of them. Why do we donate if we live out here? Country animals any less deserving than city animals?

They rarely answer the phone. When they do, You can't get them to pick up stray dogs! I called three times every day for a week and told them there's stray dogs attacking other animals.

We recently partnered with Dawn and her staff for an Adoption Pet Drive in Thomasville. They were amazing! The enthusiasm, pride, and passion that they display for these pets and their cause is amazing. We had several dogs get adopted that day and we can't wait to help sponsor another one soon

i dont like the fact they keep the light turned off on those dogs during the day time. its bad enough that the animal shelter is their last chance for any hope. dont keep them in the dark and locked up no wonder half of the dogs are depressed and/or mad!! id be mad too

Building need to be way more bigger. So many stray dogs in moultrie. When you call up there about strays in your yard they always state they full. I know that alot of places around here in Moultrie help fund that place as well as take field trips there to help with the cleaning of the dogs. What the purpose of a long parking lot. Need to have a bigger facility. Hire more staff with better training. Just overall do BETTER. Cause I know it can be done.
