If you’re in the Blue Ridge area, I highly recommend EK9. Very professional and they always watch over Peyton. When we pick up Peyton, he’s always happy and that’s not necessarily the case with other dog boarding places. This morning Peyton leapt into the car and as I was beginning to leave EK9, he began to cry because he didn’t want to leave. That says it all.

Max really enjoyed his weeklong visit to Evolutionary K9.When I went to pick him up, I could see that he was happy and wagging his tail giving Billy love.I received all of his items back clean.This is a very nice place and is convenient to get to.I’m extremely picky about where I leave Max.He is my baby, and I want to know that he’s safe and happy. I honestly don’t have any complaints.He was happy and taken care of at Evolutionary K9 and I feel goodabout making this the place for our boarding needs in the future.

The reviews are great, with two exceptions that this facility does not give a tour. Called them just now and they confirmed no tours. I would not hand over my 6yr old, 2 legged daughter without touring a place, school........Who turns over their 4 legged baby to any sight unseen facility?!! Why would they not let you see where your dog would be sleeping? I don't get it at all.

My dogs just spent two weeks with Billy and his team and they came home in great shape, had just had a good bath, and seemed to really enjoy the experience. I have never boarded my dogs and were very Concerned about leaving them that long. Also, one of my dogs had just experienced a medical issue so needed meds through out her stay. The team took good care of her, notified me of any challenges, and were timely in communicating with me when I send emails to checks up on the dogs. I will be using them on a regular bases after a great experience.

We have boarded our two dogs at Evolutionary K9 about a half dozen times in the past two years. Their website makes it very easy to book our reservations and always confirm within 24 hours. Out dogs are always excited, in a good way, when I drop them off and never seem the slightest bit out of sorts when we pick them up. They are always happy, healthy and clean to take home. The staff is very friendly and always asks about any special instructions. It’s a relief to know our dogs are safe and loved when under their care. Love this place!

My fiancé and I are visiting from out of state and dropped off our dog here for the day. Everyone was extremely friendly. Our dog Sunny seemed extremely happy and refreshed when we picked her up. We will use EK9 again in the future when we visit!

Billy and his staff have taken such good care of my precious dog Frisco. He's a 2 year old rescue who presented with aggressive issues but Billy turned everything around. Now Frisco is a happy camper who loves going to doggy camp and hanging out with his new pals. Billy has shown exceptional flexibility and professionalism every single time I've asked him too. If you want peace of mind knowing that your pet is safe, loved and well cared for then this is your answer.

This place is awesome. I have been using them exclusively for all my boarding needs for the past 2 years since I moved to Blue Ridge. They are extremely prompt, super friendly, and provide top notch customer service. I have received photos and updates on my dog while he was boarding, even when I didn't ask for it. I trust them entirely with my furry family members. I don't know how their prices compare to others in the area, but peace of mind is priceless.

From Day 1, my sweet pup, Buster, has loved spending time at EK9! I've had to board him several times and I never worry for a minute!! I know that he's having a great time with Billy, John, Jeff, and his doggie friends, whether he's there for the day or a week! How great is that??!!!

My husband and I were recommended by someone to board here. The person on the other end of the email was nice. The woman on the phone was nice. When we arrived in town, my husband wanted to see the facility where our dogs would be staying so we drove out the day before.They have no signage on the road outside driving in, but once you find it and drive in you'll see a gate across the drive into the facility with signs saying use call box. I hit the button and heard no reply. A man came out of the house and my husband met him at the gate. The man asked my husband if he had an appointment. When my husband told him why we were there, he told my husband they do not do tours at all.Then he said they had 43 dogs in there now. "Do you hear any of them?" My husband has a problem hearing sometimes and said no. My husband thought he was asking him to listen to the dogs barking. The man responded sarcastically, "that is how we like it. If we let people in to tour you will make them bark."Then he walked back into the building. We subsequently canceled our bookings with them. The man's attitude and lack of customer service left us very uneasy to think they'd not take good care of our fur babies.I have never had anyone tell us we can't tour the place where we will be leaving a pet. As we left, all we could think about was if they are this rude to future customers, how do they really treat the pets?

I booked a doggy daycare stay for our dog Murphy while my family and I took the Blue Ridge Railway train ride. I was impressed with their professionalism when making a reservation with them online. They gave prompt responses and all questions were answered well. When we arrived to drop off Murphy, I was even more impressed by the professionalism and care the gentleman had for our pet. It eased my mind and I was able to enjoy the train ride without worry. I'm Murphy's mom, so I worry about my boy. When we arrived to pick our boy up, he snapped at one of the employees and they had a tough time catching Murphy. To that young man and any others who helped catch Murphy, I'm so sorry he did that to you. He has never done anything like that at our daycare in Mississippi. If we should ever find ourselves vacationing back up this way again, my family and I sincerely hope that Murphy would be welcomed back at doggy daycare. Thank you so much for being willing to take a dog from out of state for the day. Your facility is amazing and it's quite evident that you care about dogs and love what you do. Highly recommend you guys!

This place is fantastic for vacationers in the Blue Ridge area. We had the best customer service from the moment we called to schedule daycare and boarding until we picked up our dogs. The facility is clean and very well kept. They provide curb drop off and pick up, which worked beautifully on a rainy day. We totally recommend this place and look forward to return to the area in the future.

K-9 took care of my dog for a week and I was very happy with the experience. They called me periodically to give me updates and their facility is mind blowing. It’s like a dog amusement park! Everything looks new & well kept, it’s a very private gated property. At pickup my guy was very dirty from all of the fun so I do recommend the dog shampoo add-on service they offer.

Daycare, boarding, and a human training session to better understand my dog have been the best experiences I've ever had! They have always taken excellent care of Pinto and he absolutely loved going there once a week for daycare! Sad to be moving because this place was truly special to us!

This was my first time ever boarding my poodle Bella. I have nothing even remotely negative to say about this place. It is absolutely stunning, clean, comfortable and the customer service is top-notch.They pick up and return your dog without you even having to leave your vehicle. I was amazed!! The staff is friendly, professional and very gentle. if you are going to spend the day in the town or take the scenic blue ridge mountain train I strongly recommend it.

Scooter's 2nd stay here. He was returned happy, healthy, clean and in good spirits. Beautiful, clean place for your pets. We'll not be using another facilityDuring Scooter's first stay, since we we gone for nearly a month, the owners let him stay in their house with them. That's a level of care that is really hard to find.

Great people! We were visiting from Florida and boarded our Jack Russell here for 2 days. The second day she literally ran in there and didn't look back. She absolutely loved it! Their rates are very reasonable!

Evolutionary K9 has been great to us. When we relocated to the area we knew noone and they have welcomed us like family. I consider them an extension of our pups family. They put your dog first above all else. We use them for daycare, boarding and nails, they do it all, with a no nonsense approach. Thanks EK9!

Fantastic!!! Highly recommend! We were on vacation and needed last minute boarding not only did they happily take our two boys in but, we’re even able to extend an extra day. Very friendly and Knowledgeable. I see the two negative reviews on here and respectfully but completely disagree. Great job and thank you again!!

Poor relational ability of staff. We pulled in and they wanted to take our dog immediately without explaining we were highly encouraged to not say goodbye. They didn’t know how to give a receipt when we left. Need better customer service.
