The store is clean and usually well stocked, unless you go in between the 1st and the 3rd of the month :) The staff is friendly, helpful and quick at the checkout. The checkouts are fully staffed during the busy times and not a self checkout in sight (very good). Product selection is as good as the size of the store allows. When looking for a special item they are willing to order it for you. Excellent to have a real grocery store who values its' customers and has not swept aside the notion of customer service as other stores have.

In my honest and fair opinion, don't waste your time going to this location. I gave one star rating simply because the doors were open and there is a rare chance that you may find what you're looking for. I have shopped in provisional stores in 3rd world countries that are better stocked than this food lion. Of the multiple times that I have shopped there, not once have I found everything that I went to purchase. I won't even bother going in depth on the outrageous prices they charge as they are the only full service (allegedly) grocery store in this town, so they know that they will get away with it. In my opinion, the entire management staff should be fired immediately, as I seriously doubt it would even be noticed. Any competent management would certainly understand that the main staples that are needed regularly by the community in which you serve should be adequately stocked daily. This simple practice has evidently eluded any current management that may be currently filling the seat.Update: This location has been remodeled to a certain degree and management seems to have a somewhat better idea as to the everyday needs of the community in which it serves. It seems like they are making an honest attempt to stock the necessities and improve their customer service department. Prices are still above average in comparison to similar grocery stores in other cities. However, because of their attempts and efforts, I will raise my rating on this location to 3 stars. I hope to see them earn 5 stars in the future.

It appeared clean. However, aisles were cluttered with stockers who were neither friendly or courteous to customers. One young male had his cart turned to take up most of the aisle and then his body left no room for customers to get through. I had to turn around, go down another aisle to get back to the former aisle to get items I needed.

It's ok for been new to this town sure didn't have shelves stocked very good. And prices I feel on high side. This seems to be everything you go in except Saturday most of it was stocked so they needs to work on that. I do like the. Sales on coke products.

Glad to have a grocery store in our small town but I do wish they would have kept the brands we were all familiar with before they changed to food lion. Also need to limitthelocal store owners from buying all the sale items for their gas stations etc. (Coke & Pepsi products are almost impossible 5o find here if there is a sale... Cart fulls for one person is a bit much)

New store, so far it's nice. It's set up almost exactly like Bi-Lo. Even though there is a sign saying masks are required, this is not enforced and many customers choose to ignore the sign. Not even all the employees wear their mask, just keep it hanging down around their chin. The employees are all very nice though, and very helpful and shopping here has been a pleasant experience.

It's a smaller Food Lion but it was okay. The lady at the register let me leave without one of my bags. I was wondering why she was eyeballing me but never said a word. I was traveling home so I could not go back to get my groceries and turn having to rebuy what I've already bought.

I love this place, it's like a Kmart vs Walmart to me. It sticks around and remain genuine for the long hall.Think antique.✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Produce is almost always terrible. They don't carry half of what I EVER need. (Nothing to do with shortages, just don't carry it) Cashiers are friendly. The younger stockers tend to act as if we are just in their way... I wish we had other options for produce in metter (farmers market has a great section, just not that large of a variety)

Such a drastic difference from Kroger, or the old Piggy Wiggly.Every week they are renovating/renewing. The Produce section is all new, they re-did the Deli Department, have a hot table with decent food.Only suggestion would be for the hot-table to have lids covering the dishes. It would help prevent drying out, it would keep the temperatures more even, as well as prevent any kind of contamination.All in all, JOB WELL DONE !!!Can't wait to see what's next.

Prices so high, I feel like I have to start selling my Plasma... Only cheap thing is juice & milk... Got 3 tomatoes the other day it was $5.92... If I wasn't so tired when I got off I would just go somewhere else 🤷🏾‍♀️

Im from Henderson North Carolina. We had bass sausage mild and hot. And mosses chicken batter. Can't find it in Statesboro or metter Ga. And prices are higher here.

Bi-Lo for YEARS. Heard FoodLion was coming in, and I thought the prices would be better, a little cheaper. It's not... way more expensive. FoodLion group card does nothing. Prices are UNREASONABLE for a small town like Metter, GA. I drive to Walmart in Swainsboro every time now. And I hate Walmart so much....
