Friendly staff, love to come by to get new toys for my cat and see what other cats they have for adoption. I get my fluffy cat groomed here around every 6 months and they do a good job with her sanitary trim and removing a lot of shedding fur. It's a little expensive for a groom, $60 for a bath and brush on a long hair cat but she always looks good. I also bought her harness and leash from here, I'm still training her with it but it fits well.

I’m so disappointed. I just went in the store and found a beautiful conure that has been at the store since August of 2023. That is 8 MONTHS this bird has been living in a store cage. Its wings are no longer clipped which is going to make it harder for someone to train it. it turned one in February, and is living its life by itself in a cage in a store because they will not offer any kind of sale or discount. DO BETTER. I called corporate to see if they would discount the bird but all they were able to do is give me a $10 coupon and have someone call me later. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I offered to take the bird home today if they would discount it but it appears they are only interested in the money and letting the birds sit there until they get the money.

Very disappointed with this place, not gonna play the racist card but hey. Ever time I go there groomer or vet, or staff it is off no help. I call make appointments talk to the damn groomer Thoroughly about everything I need before I get there. And she's still finds another policy why she can't groom my terrier( a k a ) pitbull. Not one more penny of mine will they get!!

Omg everyone in the grooming department extremely Awesome at the McDonough GA location. Friendly, and very professional and so kind to the doggies 😄. Fast service and they did exactly what I asked them to do. Great staff, I recommend this location you won't be disappointed.

Layla and I are attending the pet training sessions. Have thoroughly enjoyed working with Lynn (trainer). This is my 4th fur baby going through their training program (in the last 15 years). I highly recommend it. However, you MUST practice so your pet will reap the rewards of the program. All 4 of my dogs were much better behaved; I am/was always proud to take them with me wherever I went!!

We had an AMAZING experience at Pet Smart recently with Christian The Reptile Guy!!!!! He helped us with my sons bearded dragon what to feed him when to feed and just great advice for a reptile!!!!!!!!!!!! He was extremely helpful and informative!!!!

I have been going to PetSmart for years to get my fur baby hair cuts and baths. This was the first time she came back looking like she was chopped up with a dull scissors. Her groomer was Deesa. When we arrived she seemed apprehensive to take care of my baby the way that I like it. Hence the results. Just warning you. Please pick your groomer carefully!!

I am usually the one to bathe my dogs at home but due to a shoulder injury it has been difficult, so I decided to take my 70lb basset mix and my puppy pit to Stephen for a bath and brush with CHI, and let me tell you it was worth every penny! They smell so good and feel so soft it’s unbelievable, when one of them runs by or I walk into a room they’re in, all I smell is the CHI shampoo! Their nails are super short and rounded and my 70lb boy isn’t shedding NEARLY AS BAD as he usually does!! He did a fantastic job taking care of my boys and they seemed to love their spa day! Will definitely be bringing them back to Stephen

Do not make the mistake of visiting this Petsmart ( GROOMING SALON) I had a horrible experience, my dog ( 3 lb) has been getting groomed for 11 years and we have never had an issue or incident until we visited this location, the groomer name Deesa and there no way possible she cares about these pets, my dog was cut under his eye and had to be seen by the Banfield hospital inside of Petsmart. There was no apology given by neither Deesa or the grooming salon manager Stacey, their response from Deesa was " Do you want him to be seen by the hospital or not?"!! The response from the manager ( Stacey) was " Oh yeah when they are older dogs they don't like getting groomed..." My dog has always been groomed and was just groomed 2 months prior at another Petsmart. I have always had pleasant experiences with the grooming salon at Petsmart, just not this location. My advice would be if you have to drive a little further out save yourself so emotionally stress and go to another location. This grooming salon takes absolutely no accountability for their gross behavior and the groomer is not pet friendly or professional at all..

I would give them ZERO if that was possible! I wanted to exchange my 15” tie-out for my puppy. I lost the receipt and just wanted to exchange this for a large breed dog. I bought the wrong size. I don’t remember quite when in purchase it, BUTTTTTTT they still sell this exact brand and exact tie-out. I’ve never even opened this and it’s in the original packaging. I’ll be purchasing all my baby’s things elsewhere.

One of the trainers came and helped us pick harnesses for both our puppy and our senior dog to teach them to quit pulling. The difference has been AMAZING! If you can, sign up for the training courses, just the few things we were taught for our long-distance car trip has made all the difference between frustration and easily walking and handling both dogs. ( Picture of my little old man Albert, who is spoiled rotten but listening so well and not pulling for once in his life! ) Thank you Petsmart Staff

I bought some fish where and they all died before I got home 15 minutes away, and the employee who sole they to me just giving to much attitude like the fish I paid for was free. And when I went back to get some more got them home they didn't last 3 hours, Not going back to this location or probably just be done with petsmart..

The fact that the Betta fish are put into cups without being switched out before they run out of oxygen or are fed long enough to grow bacteria on their body while on display is disgraceful at the least. To know your employees are this way is a shame not only on them and the parents that raised them but on your company because such a simple task should be easy to manage let alone keeping a simple fish alive or even checking on them. It's at the front of the store. Once we saw the plethora of dead fish we just turned around. You need to replace your staff.

I have to admit when I went to the groomer this time . My mini schnauzer came out looking like a reindeer. This is the worst cut I ever seen from them. The first cut was a mess the second was wonderful. The third was horrendous. I won’t be back for grooming…It’s a hit or miss here just look for another place in my opinion

Today I had to purchase some more fish for our aquarium. As I patiently waited for the employee (Adia) to finish with the customers before me, a couple walked up and I also noticed an older woman waiting. There was another heavy set/short Caucasian employee/ woman that I realized started helping the ppl that came after me… mind you that not once did she ask who was here first. I now don’t believe she cared that I’d been there prior to them and I KNOW she saw me waiting all that time… When Adia was finally finished with the customers before me she kindly asked how she could help me (the other woman was much older than Adia). I Thanked her and told her I truly appreciated her because her coworker had completely ignored me. Please speak to your employees about how they interact with customers, because obviously the other employee didn’t care…Today I honestly felt I was ignored because of my race. Kudos to Adia!!!UPDATE TODAY: 3/22/24: ASSISTED BY Amaya & Emmy both young ladies were very helpful and sweet. Thank you

My experience with Pet Smart Grooming on Dec. 22, 2023 was a bit surprising. I've had my Cane Corso groomed at this location for several years but today was a very bad experience. I know that Froday was the beginning to the Xmas holiday weekend but Groomer Jo J was rude from the moment that we brought our Cane Corso in. Then she called back shortly saying she couldn't do his nails, but when I paid online I was charged again in person. Another groomer ended up doing my dogs nails. So Please have a talk with Jo J because everyone is stressed during the holidays but it should not affect customer service.

My doodle was give a trim on her face only, nails clipped and ears cleaned. On Monday she came from her appointment shaking her ear. This has never happened before. I thought maybe just felt funny due to the cleaning. Day 2 she was shaking it more often and rubbing on ear on the floor. Day 3 her ear was inflamed and infected, would not eat and was walking sideways. I called the store and spoke with the manager by the name of Ashley. She is amazing and that's why I have them one star because the grooming department deserves-0. I told her what was going on and she tried Minkito get an appointment for my dog to see the vet at the store. Unfortunately they were booked until Saturday. My dog was very uncomfortable and I told her that was not soon enough. I told her that my vet had an appointment available. She told me she would take care of the bill and she apologized for my dog being ill. She called the vet once the procedure was done and took care of it. My dog now is on antibiotics for 7 days due to bacteria infection.The Manager that is over the grooming department is rude and very unprofessional. Told me that basically $300+ was too much for them to pay.

I had to call after 4 hours to check on my pet. Groomer left and forgot to call me to inform me my pet was ready. My dog nails was trimmed down to far now he has an infection that he is currently on antibiotics for . Will not return to petsmart. All I recieved was I'm sorry. Your right you are sorry 😞

Today I was treated so poorly in this PetSmart I was in tears as I walked out with my dog. I scheduled my appointment online the day before and I checked my pet in completely prior to arrival online. Being COVID-19 has new salon policies only one family is allowed in the salon at a time. SoGoing I’m it was 1 African American male and myself entering the store. We both needed the salon so rightfully so he walked in being in walked in first. I then stepped to the side to stay out of anyone’s way. Within the time of him being inside another 2 families walked on one consisting of two Caucasian women with one dog each and another Caucasian woman with 2 dogs. After about 20-30 minutes the gentle man was leaving which made it my turn to enter. As he held the door me and my happy self walk in only to be told to step back out so that the two Caucasian women can come in. As I explain that I was next the young lady through her hand up and walked away grab sign in papers and left the salon to check the two women in in the lobby where I had just been standing for over 20 mins. When I made light of how rude and unfair her actions were I was told it’s okay let’s just move on. So my fog goes in and I leave.After about 3.5 hours I called to see what was taking so long and I wasTold it would be another hour and thirty mins before my dog would be ready(I have a maltipoo) I ask for a reason and none was given. I then return to the store only to find that the very two Caucasian women that were after me pets were all dolled up and ready to go where my fog was damp and half cleaned and not cut (although I was told she was cut and washed). When I speak to the manager she gives me a side eye when I tell the situation and then says with a sarcastic tone “What would like us to do to fix this matter”, knowing where she was going with think thinking I wanted something free I simply asked for my pet and the area managers number. Shocked she walks away grabs my pet and hands her to me. With the same nasty tone say have a good day being you don’t want to listen anymore(this was after she lied serval times during our conversation).I said all of that to say be careful and not afraid to call out those whom are wrong and tries to do thing based on race and not based on ethical practices.Added photos of the employee and where I was standing

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! This is my second disappointing experience with PetSmart grooming salon at this location. I will not be using them again. Both times I scheduled an appointment online and the only available groomer was Ashley (I now am assuming she has a reputation and many don’t like using her). First time I went in I was bothered because I walked in at around the time the dog should have been done. I see my dog on the table he saw me, and clearly is excited to see me. Mind you I’m in the store not grooming area. I catch ashley the groomer glaring at me as if to say how dare I walk in making it harder for her to trim his face. So I moved out of sight. As I was walking the store I peeped around a few times and could tell from a distance that she was frustrated with dealing with my dog. She was borderline too aggressive. Her movements told me a lot. I can only imagine how my dog was treated all day.So today this is how I get him back (see pics). I dropped him off and not even half hour-45mins go by and I get a call saying that they couldn’t do anything with the dog because he was too matted. Up front I let her know he did have some mat because he wore sweaters during the winter being he is a 4 lb dog... I get there and was told he was too jumpy to deal with by another associate.. and they hand me this wreck. I am infuriated. He may be a little skiddish, but give him a little break to calm down and get back to it... all you had left was the legs.This just tells me, that Ashley is impatient and incompetent when it comes to dog grooming. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone. She should be retrained or fired. None of the staff seemed compassionate or caring... just carried the attitude like.. oh well.. a 4lb is too hard to handle... this is something a teenager would do... not professional at all.All they care abut is getting as many dogs done as fast as possible. They do not take time or care. I am really in disbelief. She said she couldn’t do anything with the dog... so I assumed I was picking up an un-groomed dog... not a half shaved dog. The least they could have done was clean up the hanging pieces of fur and made it look half decent!!!

I had bought my very first guinea pig ever a month ago , bought everything and more that he would need. Took him home he was super shy would hide just normal things but the first cleaning I noticed that his urine was quite dark like a orange color that dries brown. Not fully educated I thought nothing to crazy until a friend came over and told me this wasn’t normal and it was a sign that he could have kidney / uti issues. I contacted this store to clarify if this could be true and they basically said “ you’re outside your 14days and to take him to the vet she then asked another associate which he then said yeah sounds like a uti ” I’m more than okay with taking him to the vet my only issue is I feel like I was sold a sick animal. Moral of this story just be very careful of the animals you buy from here.

DO NOT SEND YOU DOG HERE ! On July 28th 2022 I was called by the grooming salon stating that they noticed a “scratch” on my dogs leg that they claimed to be from the kennel and sent her over to the vet. When the vet called me my dog needed to receive stitches and put under sedation and sent home with pain medicine. At this point I’m concerned about the “scratch”. I told them to wait til I could see it and it was a hole in her back right leg when I arrived. No way it came from a kennel and no one had a reason for the gash in her leg. They tried to down play it and claim that this DEEP GASH they gave my dog PLEASE DO NOT send your dog here because they are injuring animals! I have tried to contact corporate and I haven’t heard from them yet. No one is in any rush to her my complaints with this company and location!

This company is a joke. They do not care about your pet. They deserve -1 star. I brought my dog in for a bath. He left traumatized, with stitches and NO BATH!!!!. The response from petsmart has been unacceptable. The manager on duty insinuated that is was the dogs fault he was injured. No one from upper management has reached out at all. If you love your pets and value their lives do not bring them here.

Kendall in the fish department is so kind and knowledgeable. She made our fish buying experience such a good one. We will definitely be back to see her. If your thinking about buying a fish, ask for kendall!
