we took our dogs here for self-use baths and it was a seamless and impressive process! the tubs were huge and products used smelled so good and made our dogs’ coats shiny and clean. the customer service is also great! we felt welcomed. the affordable prices are a plus :)

While traveling from Florida to Indiana our senior citizen cat soiled himself. The amazing staff in the McDonough Pet Supermarket bent over backwards to make it possible for us to get him cleaned up so we could get back on the road! Alexis was especially welcoming and helpful!! This store is amazing. Always clean, staff is knowledgeable on all sorts of pets and products. There is a dog wash which is very handy! Each team member is friendly, always smiling. Randi is a great manager and knows how to handle the store well. Go to Elena for any questions about dog food. Mina knows small animals and reptiles; Ben can help with anything out of reach. Thank you for always helping me while I am shopping for these reasons and more I wont go anywhere else!

I agree with the other person who wrote regarding the baths. I have ALWAYS paid $10.00 but when I went a couple of weeks ago I had to pay double. 20.00 for a bath you do completely by yourself is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. I will most likely not be returning because not only is it a drive from where I live I honestly just can't afford it with 3 dogs. I'm gonna miss it and the ease of bathing my babies.

Let me start off by saying the staff here is fantastic. Very courteous and helpful. My complaint today is in pricing. I’ve been coming here for years now for the self service dog wash. Which has always been $10. I found out today the cost has gone up 50% to $15. This is an outrageous increase. I could see if they added extra perks to the service, But you literally do everything yourself. It’s the same shampoo and towels. Only thing I can do is pray that this increase went towards the associate who work there with an increase in their pay and not straight to the company’s profits. Again very upset to see this😭😭

There’s a section of fish in the public eye directly next to the fish they are selling. This area is labeled “fish not for sale”. There’s no lights in them and every single fish seems gravely ill, are dying, or are dead. My gf was upset at the amount of dead fish there were stuck to the filters. It was in every single tank. It looked like a bunch of death tanks. I’m confident these fish are not being treated. If they were being treated for illnesses, they would be isolated from each other and in the back of the store. Instead, they are just lopped together in tanks to die. It reminds me of the live fish they’d sell at Walmart.The sellable fish are expensive, just to look to the left and see fish in deplorable conditions. I would avoid this place for fish purchases.

I stopped by to purchase some items for the new puppy. If you need wash your extended family, you're in luck! They have a grooming area onsite. This store was very clean and the associates were very helpful.

Animals seem to be treated well here, prices are reasonable.The only downside is some parents don't watch their kids and they end up terrorizing the small animals which makes it harder for them to bond to their new owner.All in all it is well kept with friendly staff and well treated small animals (Didn't look over the fish too much but when I did they seemed to be in good shape)

I don’t usually write these but this Review is about randi. ever since she became store manager, the stores quality has diminished, and I’ve seen much more dead fish in the tanks. The customer service is terrible as well I’ve started driving farther when I’m in the area just so I do not have to go there. If I could put 0 stars I would.

Pet Supermarket (Macon, GA) Introduced me to an AMAZING new brand of cat food for my little senior lady At 13 years old, Bella has lost a dramatic amount of weight in the last few months and needed something adjusted in her diet. First time here !I had to travel to this location because I wanted some feeder goldfish for a small pond insert that I installed & the other location didn’t get any in.My experience was smooth & friendly service.My only glitch was the difference in pricing for the Calico Goldfish at the checkout. I thought the total was a little higher than I calculated, but just let it go. When I saw the receipt, I realized WHY the $$$ difference.But... I’d go back, but double check the pricing.No biggie, but it could be a make-or-break moment for someone !?!🙄🤔🤩😇😜

Great Experience. Everyone at this location is super helpful. Randi and Jessi specifically!! :) Purchased a cat tower on line on sale. Got it home and it didn't work out. I went back to the store and was able to exchange it for a different one and still got the sale price. I was and am a very Happy Customer. Thank you Pet Supermarket for having such a great team here.

We got our guinea pig from here, and he is so sweet and well handled! His little area was very clean and very well kept at the store. The lady working let me hold him before we made a decision also which was great, cause it helped us make our final decision! We ended up getting the guinea pig and all of his supplies from there, and will be back Friday to get another as we were wanting 2 but they only had one left. The lady who helped us was also great with answering all of our first guinea pig parent questions! I gave 3 stars, cause they really suck at answering the phones. I called from 5:00-7:30 and still haven’t gotten a pick up, and it’s saying the close at 9 on Tuesday’s... but still no answer. Other than that we love the store. Today, I was on a mission to find a better food for my dogs and cats. My sister recommended that I check out this store. I couldn't be happier that I did. The customer service was outstanding. Two staff members listened to my needs/ concerns and helped me find the best food to suit my fur babies needs without any pressure to buy the most expensive thing. These ladies have a great deal of product knowledge across brands. 10/10 would recommend!

I was super disappointed when I informed the young ladies at checkout that there was multiple dogs left in a hot car (window was cracked but it’s 90+ degrees in Ga in the direct sunlight with no breeze) and they shrugged it off and said “he does it all the time”. That’s unacceptable, I train and transport dogs around the country for a living and it only take minutes for a car in sunlight to reach temperatures that can kill a dog. Staff definitely needs better training on how to handle situations like that. The dogs were left in the vehicle for a minimum of 30 minutes because that’s how long we were in the store and they were there when we got there and still there when we left.

Staff is always helpful and super knowledgeable. They love to hear about your animals and always have me leaving with a wide grin. The animals they sell there are *genuinely* well kept and you can tell the staff cares about them. They also have a wonderful self bathing set up that is the only reason my dogs get bathed 😅 This is the only chain pet store I will ever buy from. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I have tried to find alternatives to the mainstream Pet stores. Pet Supermarket has become one of my go to stores. They have a great variety of supplies and pets. I bought several unique fish and they were reasonably priced. The feeding options for pets are great and a good value as well. Most of the staff is super helpful and they are honest!! If they do not know something they will tell you They Do Not know. I feel better getting an “I don’t know”, versus bad information. There are several stores in my area and sometimes if one doesn’t have an item the other does and it is not far away. Give it a try!

The store manager at store #393 was the rudest I’ve ever experienced. I am originally from Florida where there are a lot of pet supermarkets, so when I moved up here to ga there aren’t that many. Naturally I got excited to learn there was one about 30 min from me as opposed to an hour. Today was my first visit and it was horrible. I walked in and the 2 young ladies greeted me at the door. Cool. I looked around and finally came to my decision on the fish I wanted. The manager Daniel was stocking the shelves. He never once said hello, how are you?, may I help you?. So I said helloooo and he said hold on I’m coming after I finish what I’m doing you don’t have to yell across my store. I stated he never addressed the fact that I was there. He argued with me for about 2 min when I then told him I didn’t want his assistance with anything and I would have left had it been another store close to me. I went to the front and got with Elliot and she was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable about everything I asked. She definitely changed my experience this time. I would really like some feed back on this situation as he was very rude. I feel as though I received that treatmeant because I’m a woman of color.

Love this store, love the fish selection, love the pet food selection and pet accessories selection. All and all this store and it's employees are wonderful and amazingly informative and nice and welcoming. The management team is one of the best I've seen at this location and others in the area. Also I read the review from yesterday about the fish Ick, I believe I was in the store shopping when it happened and I think there was a misunderstanding. This store does not sell you contaminated fish unless you insist on buying and treating the fish in a treatment tank yourself, they don't just sell them to anyone.

They have the nicest pet wash and for only $10 is a great deal. They keep a stock of various shampoos and conditioners but guests are welcomed to bring their own. There is no time limit so you can take your time with your pet so that they get squeaky clean! Standard industry prices for dog food and toys. Customer service is awesome too! Will return to shop here!

Just amazing!! I'm always incredibly happy and pleased and it comes to the the staff at this location!! Heaven ( the best manager I've met- ever), Aimee, Brittany & Terry has always been such a warm welcoming and caring staff when it comes to help and the needs of a customer!! I order fish regularly through them and I've never once been left a stray! Thank you guys and team for all your help!! I have officially passed 100 little critters thanks to you guys!!

This store is DISGUSTING! the fish tanks were nasty, with dead fish all over, and starving fish with sunken belly! The ferret cages stank so bad, and the bird cages were gross! if this is going to be a store for animals and animal lovers they need to treat them better, becuase I will not contribute to ANY company that treats animals this way! it was the store at 1541 Highway 20 west Mcdonough Ga. PLEASE find a better place for your pet needs!
