This store NEVER has anything on the shelves, it's always a mess with carts sitting in the middle of the isles with items to be stocked and the manager isn't even fully trained. This store is completely useless.

Scott and Amanda are the best! Great customer service. Scott is always friendly and helpful every time in in. I live near by so I'm in at least weekly. This location sometimes is out of stock of stuff, but it usually comes back in.

The manager (she is from Mexico Beach she said) was kind, polite, and aware of every customer who came in. She is always stocking the shelves and running immediately to the register to ring up customers. The other young lady associate was super friendly and helpful!! The store is clean and organized. I will continue to shop here and appreciate the wonderful customer service!

Update: The guy previously stated is no longer there... Been having the best experiences lately! Scott is always so helpful & nice! Glad they made some changes ☺️Been several times lately & they always have some A-hole guy cashier! No expression, rude & not very personable! I understand checking for counterfeit bills but down to a $1 bill... C'mon that's ridiculous! And if u check 1 person's bill then u should check EVERYONE'S bills!!!

Look, I get it, it's a small box store, providing a small array of choices to, usually, rural areas far away from bigger chain grocers. With that said, it could be worse. It could be that the store shelves were completely empty instead of only 1/4 full across the store, it could be that the milk was several days past date instead of every single gallon jug being dated one day before it's "use by" date and the milk cooler has clearly been recently stocked as there wasn't a single gallon missing yet. It could be that there were no employees at all, instead of there being several employees but all taking a cigarette break(at the same time) right outside the front doors. It could be that I were shopping in the pits of hell instead of the store AC clearly not working. So, it could be worse but then again, that is usually a phrase used when the worst is already knocking on the door.

There is a young lady at the Maysville GA location named Becka. She is a once in a lifetime find! Please recognize her for her customer service! I have never seen her in a bad mood and always wants to help!! I will be looking for a response towards her!! Kym is the manager and is also awesome, this store gets my business just because of the employees, and I cannot leave R.J. out. Also, extremely courteous!

That place is a total disaster. You can't get through the aisles because of U Boats stacked with product. Dollar General does not give this store enough workers to be able to stock the shelves trying to save on payroll. I have been there on several occasions and there was only 1 person working with a line of at least 10 people waiting to check out. That is absolutely unacceptable. Customer service is atrocious. This was the Dollar General on Maysville Rd. In Commerce near Quality foods.

Customer service could use some work. There are only a select few employees that give this review a 3 out of 5. The rest of the team gets a 5 out of 5. Other than customer service the items are great for a quick stop.

The only person wearing a mask was the gentleman behind the cash register. A female employee was not. An older customer had on a mask as did I. These are Covid times. The store required masks per signage, but did not back it up. I'm not planning on going back there until Covid is over. I want to feel safe when I'm shopping. This is a dangerous and I believe illegal practice. This was on Labor Day 2020 at @2pm

Cleanest dollar general I have been to. No worries about getting thru the isles. Due to employees not stocking shelves as in the Dollar General in Nicholson where you can't get thru the isles because of huge racks filled with stock that needs to be put on the shelves. Creates a very dangerous situation.

If I had to compare stores, Gillsville is much CLEANER, ORGANIZED and STAFFED. The most annoying problem in Maysville is when many people shop at busy times there is "NEVER" an Associate or Manager taking the initiative to open another register, and I've been a number of times when customers walked out of the store leaving their buggy full.It is apparent to customer’s too that clerks put cigarette breaks first over assisting shoppers and working registers. “The store stays very cluttered, unclean, merchandise scattered on the floor, and they keep new inventory in the aisles blocking shoppers from going thru aisles to shop. “ It’s difficult to shop here when you go in for something simple such as bread and milk and there is none. I’m surprised this location and some others have not been reported for poor conditions due to no pride for their Store.

I have shopped this store regularly since it opened, enjoyed every minute until this past Monday April 22, 2019 between 4:40pm and 5:15pm. Two young men were working near the pet aisle and I heard more cursing and carrying on than I ever have in a store. Utterly disgusting! But when the G**D*** came out I had to go! When I got to the register I asked to speak with the manager Lynn only to find out he doesn't work there anymore and the new manager was off. This really saddens me because I really liked shopping here and it is so close to home. I did not recognize these men and Inventory is going on so maybe they are not regular employees at this store. If they are I will discontinue going there and suffer thru Wal Mart.

This is the one Dollar General I've been going to for years ever since I moved up here. Ms.Regina and Ms.Kim are some of the nicest and helpful people I've had the pleasure of knowing. It feels like family!

This has to be the least friendly Dollar General staff in the U.S.On my last trip through, I needed Distilled Water. Shelf was empty. Two employees at front register doing NOTHING. Informed me they could not check in back.Next morning, needed shampoo and Chapstick. Got shampoo. Couldn't find Chapstick. Two different employees in front of store - again doing NOTHING. Told me there was probably Chapstick in back, but they couldn't check.Save yourself the hassle. Drive to Commerce.

The staff is real friendly, the store is always clean. Its well lighted the manager is always welling to help you even when there truck has come in. I wouldn't shop at another DG.

Is anyone else fed-up with Dollar General in maysville??? Eveytime I go in there, there's boxes of stuff that should have been on the Shelf,trash outside and employees always outside smoking never inside pay any attention to store or customer.

The stores new Manager, Toni, was extremely rude and was not helpful. I am going to report her to the main office. I have also heard that she is not customer friendly by several people in our small community.
