I wish I caught the name of the young brunette lady that saw me enthralled by the ferrets on 2/8/24.. I told her about one that was so rambunctious and she got so excited and offered to show me the ferret and let me hold this little hairy noodle. This was seriously the highlight of my day and I was so very grateful this associate took the time to make my day! I love supporting this small business and have had great interactions with the staff at every visit. They have great prices and cool dog treats!

We have two dogs and a cat that are treated very well with supplies, food, treats, litter, ect.. from the store!My daughter also got the most amazing little hamster 3 years ago from this store and if there is such a thing, that hamster was perfect in every way! A 'covid hamster', so to speak and she lived much longer a d 100% healthy than the norm!Also this store has the absolute best prices, very competitive! Always a kind and friendly and knowledgeable staff, plan on going there for as long as we have pets

My most recent visit to this store in particular, Bella & Josh were able to provide knowledge that only someone could provide me or anyone with if they had experienced it or a relative matter.My first experience was mostly conversing with Bella while Josh was listening and backed her info.Only reiterating this part so Bella doesn’t feel forgotten or unappreciated of her help the first go around. (I don’t see this review I did the first time)While both are equally helpful & thoughtful with their witty responses. Each time they saved me time and stress by listening to my issue(s) and then providing their opinion/solution. I Can’t thank them enough also I wonder why my first review went missing. So if this one doesn’t stay up I’m sure my next and every following review(s) should be just another 5 star experience. Thanks again.

Update as of April 2022:Their conditions are WORSE. There aren't enough spray enzymes to cover the stench and all the small critters in the store are not taken care of.The ferrets are reportedly (as per the young woman at the register) taken care of about once a week. The cage was cleaned last week. Today is Thursday. The fish are emptied out and the ones that are there are dead.Does this look like "the highest of industry standards" to you?Old review:Conditions could have been better. The store smells and I had small concerns for the animal welfare.

Went to check out at the register. There was a guy vaping in the office… we made eye contact a couple of times before they decided to come out and help me. This was already after a few minutes of me waiting.

WOW; what a difference since the last visit. Looks like new ownership is picking up the pieces. And the staff? Matt, is your go to fish guy and Shane loves to get you the feeding crickets. Faith was great at helping with the dog treats. Now this is service with a smile.update 11/20. Hit or miss. I don't know what happened. Turnover has been noticed. Cleanliness? Not too good. I see droppings, dirty cages, poor stock and all together decline in everything. It's a shame for such a great location to go down so quick.

The animals they offer don’t have the proper care at all, the reptiles water bowls are all full of algae, it’s so disgusting, right when I walked in it smelt straight of pee.

My most recent visit I got a 40gal turtle tank on sale at a great price! My turtle, named Tardy (because he is always late😂), loves his new home! He had gotten a bit big for his last tank and is loving all the room of his new tank. I also used a coupon and got $10 off a cool avengers dog collar for my dog. My dogs also a huge fan of their cookies! Very friendly and helpful staff. Make sure to always check the clearance shelf... They often have cool finds.

I love this place for its prices, but today it bit me in the butt. bought an aquarium that wasn't on sale, and it's cracked. we are going to return it and see what comes of it. I'll update the review should the outcome be positive.**UPDATE**They did not have another in the same size. I was able to get the next size up for the same price because it WAS on sale. Return went smoothly and Upgraded from *** to *****.

This location is the closed to me now. I was sad to have to leave the Acworth store that I loved so much. But then learned that Mr. Keith owned this one as well. He has a wonderful and knowledgeable stuff that is always helpful.

Haven’t been to this location in years due to old management. Girl at the front with the colored hair was very helpful, helped me get a crate for my dog and surprised me when she told me it was on sale. The young men working helped me carry it to the register and bring it out to my car with friendly faces! Amazing staff and will be back again!

I feel like I got scammed. My issue came from one of the many coupons that I receive as a member. I used a 15% off coupon for orders over $60 online. I made my purchase then went to the store to pick up my items. Upon arriving at the store, I was handed my items when I noticed there were several things missing. I asked the staff working there what happened to the rest of the items, and they said "oh yeah we were out of that". Because of that, my total went below $60 and my 15% off discount was reverted. I had to pay the normal price for all the items. (I lost about $20 worth of item value). Why can I check out online for items that aren't even available at the store?This place is only good for shopping if you receive a coupon code in the mail or through email. Avoid shopping online even with a discount. Pay the few extra dollars and shop at a large retailer instead.

The staff are helpful. The dog wash can be busy at times and the room gets wet/hairy.It would be great to have the pet washes on the account instead of a paper punch card.Good selection of pet products for cats, dogs, and small animals. The store is organized and clean.

Prices are good, and staff is great. I'm pretty sure every time I've ever been in there over the years they always ask if there's anything they can do to help. Which is pretty rare nowadays when you go into somewhere.

Love this place, have gotten all three of my Guinea Pigs from here. I love that they always have crickets to sell. I am concerned for the pet area. The Guinea pigs aren't always taken care of the way they should. I have been multiple times and the piggie's have been out of water. I went there yesterday and one of the skinny pigs are visibly sick- looks like a respiratory infection, which is contagious and deadly if left untreated. I called today and spoke to someone to make them aware... but it shouldn't have gotten so bad- her eye is all crusted up- almost shut. My heart hurts for the little rodent. For a while now there is almost always a puddle of water in front of the fish tanks- Other than the care of the animals, the staff is almost always friendly- (except one girl- who barley spoke to me). They always greet me at the door and I love seeing familiar faces when I go back. This is my store- the store I go to most often, will continue to go to- they always have what I need. Even gave my dog a bath there in their self service area- that has a door that closed, so the dog cant escape.

I went into the store looking for a solution to my problem. My catfish had outgrown my tank. Mariah worked with me to find the best solution for me and the fish, all the while being patient and knowledgeable. She suggested rehoming him and said she knew a customer who would be a great fit. She set the whole thing up, texted me about the customer and the new home for the fish and we met today and the catfish has a great new home. He now has all the room he needs to grow! Now I have 3 new fish better suited for the tank size. MARIAH WAS GREAT. I CAN'T THANK HER ENOUGH!

Came into the store yesterday and brought my 3 year old with me. We were there to get some stuff for a Leopard spotted gecko we took in, so it was my daughters first time to get crickets, see snakes, fish, a tarantula, etc. Josh helped us and got her super excited about crickets and the other animals. When we left, my daughter was talking about how nice Mr. Josh was. I manage a large retail store myself, so I understand the value in a great associate like this, and I can say this store has a super star in Josh.This store is a little out of my way, considering I work a half mile from a petco and a petsmart in Kennesaw, but I will be going out of my way to continue to buy from this location for our 3 dogs and now gecko needs moving forward!

It was amazing young lady who walked us down the aisle went over several tank sizes with us and we found one on sale that we liked. Then we have to find a cover she tried every cover she could find. It turns out I had to order one. Just gave us information on sand for our reptile and they even price match here. Another young lady help us with this big tank to the car. Who am I getting up early for church and we never make it in the area that early. We ended up with a new reptile tank for our little baby an outstanding customer service. You can tell the ladies really like their job here. This is only my second time visiting the store. We will definitely be back

Self-bath for dog advertised at this location's website at $9.99 was charged at $14.00. Cashier said that has always been their price. Equipment in terrible condition. This location has not been the same, since the original owner sold it.

Generally the products and selection are good, but perhaps that day they were short-staffed since there was only one register operational. And even though there was only 4 people ahead of me it still took 10 minutes.Carrying two heavy bags and a 2 year old as well as herding my other child takes its toll on my patience. The cashier was friendly and apologetic, but was hoping the manager should have been around rather.

Worked here previously during an ongoing rat infestation. Under new ownership and management and the difference in cleanliness and customer service is incredible! Keith is always super welcoming and knows what he’s talking about with pet health. My favorite store for my exotics!
