I love this local grocery store. They remember us every time we walk in. They stock items from local farmers. My favorite is the milk from Rock House Creamery in Newborn. Look it up to see why it's the best. It also has a cute selection of home and holiday decor.

The owner is very personable and offered all the kids' suckers off the self. You don't get that at any big franchise store. Nice clean, locally owned grocery store. Also behind the store is the start of the paved cricket frog trail. Butcher in the back, too.

Really love this place. The people are friendly and the store is so clean that I thought they just recently opened...only to find out that they've been open for 7+ years. Great selection, too!

Great rural store doesn't gouge on prices just because they are outside city make it affordable for folks who live away from the glare of town good meat specials not much difference on most things than Kroger Ingles & definitely would shop again

I always enjoy coming to Blackwells to have a great selection of meats the staff is friendly and inviting always eager to say hello and please the pick 5 for 25 is a great deal come in stock up on meats plus they carry holyfield sausage which is the best sausage in the world so all in all a great place to come and it's attached to an Ace hardware so if you need to pick up some lacquer thinner and a ribeye steak in the same visit you're good to go

Cute little store nestled between nature and a cotton field. I had been stopping at Walmart on the way out to the hunting cabin. NO MORE!! My new spot for food and an Ace hardware attached. My new go to for the land

Such a very pleasant place to go. I love it. Workers are all so courteous and helpful and genuinely caring. Nothing like the chaos at the bigger grocery stores. I will definitely go out of my way to come here, to Blackwell's instead.

Love that it's not ever really crowded. Also great choices and variety of meats. Best of all the homemade foods in the salad section, made by the owner's wife. If you ever go there make sure you try them!

Best place to shop for groceries! They have selections from local farms and dairies. Prices are a little higher than Big Chain stores but its worth it to have local products and great service! The employees are always friendly and helpful.

This is the best kept secret in Newton County. Great for folks in East Newton, Jasper, and West Morgan counties. I love having this place just a few minutes from my house. So relaxing to shop and get everything you need including great meats, locally made items, and even hardware, without having to drive all the way to Covington or Madison. The people are the nicest too! I can’t say enough good things!

Great experience every time! I absolutely love the “small town” friendly feel you get . Everyone always seems to be happy and truly love what they do. I had the pleasure of meeting Cindy today and she is the sweetest person and treats her customers as family. She is a huge asset to Blackwells, her personality and upbeat spirit could turn anyone’s day around . Always clean and very friendly people here. Unique grocery store with attention to detail as far as decor goes. Not as big of a selection as larger stores but the associates remember who you are and it isn't too crowded.

I do love Blackwell's grocery. They have THE best meat!! Prices are good and the milk from the local dairy is the best I've ever had. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the very small selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. I can find ALMOST everything I need and some I can't find at other stores. I also like having the Ace Hardware right there for Traeger and Green Egg products.
