This visit was amazing because of Jeanie. She went above and beyond to help us with purchasing our chinchilla baby. She not only educated us on care and things to be cautious about, but she was very friendly and helpful getting everything we needed to have a good home for our chinchilla. We had an option to go somewhere else today to purchase one but very thankful we chose Pet Land. I would say we had a very good experience because of Ms. Jeanie's help. I would feel very comfortable to come back to this store for any help from her. Thank you!!!

I purchased a ball python on January 27th, 2024. Within the first few days of having him home, settling into his tank, I noticed a good bit of mucus in his mouth. I called Petland and told them what was going on as far as the mucus in his mouth and he wasn’t eating and they said if you can’t get him to eat you might wanna get him to a veterinarian. Now to point out he was kept in the same tank with 3 other ball pythons. I called around to a vet, took him and had him seen. He had a respiratory infection. The veterinarian said that there is no way he was as bad as he was just in the short period of time I had him. Especially with his tank being kept nearly perfect humidity/temp wise. They gave him an antibiotic shot and sent us home. Within a week later, I took him back because he is still not any better. Got another antibiotic shot. And was told at this point the vet couldn’t do anything else for him because they were not equipped to keep him. Now It’s just now been 3 weeks of having him as of yesterday and tonight he is nearly dead in his tank. I do not recommend buying a ball python from them. But something told me when I seen him that I needed to get him so I did. And I tried everything I could to help him and get him better. Between vet bills and buying him I have over 350$ in him. And he’s not even gonna make it through the night probably.

Since my boyfriend lives near here, whenever I come down to visit him I always have him bring me. I absolutely love playing with the puppies, and always wish I could have every single animal in there. Just a month ago, I decided to get the sweetest lil' bunny, and I named her Mochi. I wouldn't trade my bun for the world.She's got so much sass, and always always always makes my day. Love this place so much!

The owner and staff are very professional, friendly knowledgeable of the fur babies they sell. The one thing I like very much about pet land of Macon is that no customer are allowed in the area where the animals are kept. You have to tell the staff what fur baby you want to see, and theyand d they will get it for you..I will be letting the people in Columbus Ga this is the best best place to buy their fur baby

I love that they have a wide variety of fish and accessories and other animal products and the lady who helped me was very nice and informative she answered all my questions she explained to me what I needed to do and was overall very nice also the guy looked up things on his phone to answer my questions.

My name is Lakeishia. My daughter has allergies and so we went in search of a fur baby that would not aggravate my daughter’s allergy. We were helped by the owner and shown dogs that we were unfamiliar with in a book and directed to where to find some of them! I appreciated this help very much! Best service I would recommend this store!

We always enjoy going to Petland! I have been going there since the early 80's and although they have moved around a bit they are super easy to find. They have what I consider competitive prices compared to most other pet places around town and generally they are knowledgeable ( or at least good actors ). I definitely recommend if you are in the market for a new pet or pet needs than give them a try.

I love this store. I can call them anytime with questions about my kittens and they are very helpful. I think they charge too much for their dogs. I am still giving them 5 stars because of the excellent customer service. We use to have an inside cat and she kept getting outside and getting pregnant.Called petland and they said that they take 8 week old kittens. They have to be 8 weeks old and they can't have any fleas on them. We took 3 litters of kittens up there. If u want to take kittens there it is best to call first and see when someone can meet you around back to take them. Also if you want to buy a kitten they are only 25 dollars when they have kittens. They don't always have kittens. Great place, great employees, and great customer service. Keep up the good work.

My husband and I stopped in tonight because they happened to have a puppy that we were interested in. I had called prior to going in and the associate was extremely helpful. She sent me a picture of the puppy and agreed to hold him until we got there. Everyone was very knowledgeable, helpful, and loving! You could tell that the puppies loved the associates and were not mistreated in any way. We ended up bringing him home and our girls are overjoyed!

Great place to buy a dog. My husband and I bought our black/white mini schnauzer, Teddy there on Saturday April 19th. Our vet said he is very healthy. Normally we don't shop pet stores, but this one is exemplary, the pets were well cared for and clean. We received health advice for caring for our new friend until we could visit our vet. We were given honey to ward off any hypoglycemia, the staff cared for the animals and were knowledgeable. Teddy was given a bath and smelled very good when we took him home. Thank you Pet Land for our new friend!

I got my mini pinscher here, and I am so excited. She has been doing amazing with us and adapting to us very well. I am happy to have her apart of our family now. The staff was also very nice and understanding since I came pretty late and stayed with us until we were squared away. Highly suggest coming here for a new addition to your family.

Consider this a warning if you plan on buying a puppy from Petland! They use a breeder from Jacksonville georgia who is known buy the humane society as a known puppy mill. You can google triple C kennels and see the article for yourself. I wont list the breeders real name. If you buy a puppy here please take it to a vet as soon as you get it to be checked for worms. Our Siberian husky came from petland and had Coccidia and a bacterial infection! Petland says they don't use mills but that's a lie. Stay away if you can. But if you do get a puppy please plan for a vet visit ASAP!

Went to look for a travel bag for my puppy. Was spoken to by a young lady that was at the register and she told me where they were . I had my puppy with me that I had just gotten that day . Another lady approached me rudely asking where I had gotten my puppy from and what kind of dog was she. Then told me to leave because they don’t allow dogs in the store . If you’re not allowing other dogs in the store maybe there should be a sign up saying that . But it’s also a pet store so why wouldn’t you allow other dogs in there ?

It’s absolutely sad in that store. Pure mistreatment of animals. The dogs don’t even get up to play, noses are dry, they seem depressed. There’s not even water in the small cage. Parakeets are all gathered in one small cage, about 30 in one??? That’s not right. This shop should be shut down.

My wife and I went into Petland simply to buy supplies for our hermit crabs and ended up walking out with a new addition to the family! Not only was the store VERY clean, organized, and affordable, they had a variety of clean, healthy puppies looking for a loving home. My wife immediately fell in love with a miniature schnauzer, and Linda the store associate was simply fantastic! Linda was extremely knowledgeable on dogs, cats, and even hermit crabs. She informed of us of any little detail we needed to know for a young puppy, and three days later, the family is thrilled to have him in our home. Further, he came crate trained, and for his wellness check, they said he was in perfect condition and had been well cared-for. Thank you Petland, and even more importantly, thank you Mrs. Linda!!

Went in to inquire about a puppy, when I walked in an older lady in scrubs and a younger blonde lady were standing around the cages talking. There was nobody else in the shop. The younger lady and I held THE most awkward eye contact as I walked in. It was so off-putting that I decided to peruse the selection out of eyesight. There was no hello or anything, they just continued their conversation. Saw that on a few other reviews so I gave it some time. A few minutes later someone else came in and they were greeted. The only difference between me and this woman, was only the color of our skin. I hate to assume, but there simply is no other logical conclusion for me to make. Unfortunately, I’d skip this location and go somewhere where the staff can do their duties regardless of racial opinion. I hope they can do better- given their location.EDIT: Where’s is the 0 stars button? What kind ofresponse is that from an owner? Completely unprofessional. Weather you agree or not, it happened. So I don’t care to hear about how long you’ve been there. An apology for piss-poor service would’ve sufficed.

My family and I would always go here to check out the cute little animals and occasionally get crickets for our lizard (RIP😔). We recently got a Miniature Schnauzer who is in training to become a show dog!The staff are incredibly friendly and informative. They helped us learn about the breed and make sure we were on the right path to taking care of the little pupper!

We purchased a dog from this establishment and fulfilled our half of the contract. Our puppy is sick, so we tried to get our money back since it was an option provided for us on the contract. The manager, who we notified ahead of time that we would be coming, left before we got there. When we arrived, we were told by an employee that she could not reimburse us because the manager was not present. (Since when is a manager not present in a store at anytime?) We asked her to call the manager, so that we could speak to her over the phone. The employee did not comply, so we asked that security be called. The security officer arrived only to tell us that we had to sue the company civilly. We plan to do exactly that. Highly unsatisfied, and I do not recommend purchasing a pet from this establishment unless you feel like forking over $1,000 for a puppy.

Adorable pet store located inside of Macon Mall. My kids enjoyed seeing the cute pups & Iguanas. The staff was friendly as well. We were looking for a Yorkie which had just been sold a few hours before we arrived.
