We were lucky to get an AM private tour with us & our kids; ages 17, 15 & 7. The studio was very interesting to all! The tour guide was so patient & knowledgeable. He answered all our questions & went beyond by explaining the history of instruments. The kids loved the museum & listening to the interactive record collections. We've been to many music/artist museums & you can't beat the cost for a family. This was by far the best experience for the price. Our family has discussed & looked up different musicians that have recorded here all day. Many great discussions as a family!

This is the coolest spot in Macon, with outstanding features and great staff helmed by Rob Evans. It takes more than one visit to absorb the richness of the history and historical artifacts, as well as how Capricorn is nurturing new and experienced musicians. This isn't a place just for out-of-town guests, native Middle Georgians like me find it interesting with something new to see during each subsequent visit.

This visit was well worth the $12 entry fee. It included an in-depth tour of two fine studios, one digital and one analogue. Bob was the tour guide and was very knowledgeable about all things Capricorn. I'm sure the museum will expand with time, but for now, there is lots of the Capricorn catalogue digitally recorded from vinyl for that delightful "snap, crackle, pop!"The art in the building is superb. Color and black-and-white paintings/murals, including a few of the iconic Fillmore East cover (which was taken in Macon!).Highly recommended!

This is an awesome venue! The acoustics are amazing, and the setting is intimate. I really like the feeling of history here and enjoyed the museum upstairs. I would love to come to more concerts here.

The small museum has digital recordings that you can listen to and some memorabilia. More interesting is the Studio A tour, which is in basically intact when the classic recordings were made.

Great venue for music, as you might expect for the famous studio now part museum and live stage. Can't wait to watch their upcoming monthly First Friday series and hear more featured artists!

Me and my guys included The Capricorn in our "Allman Brothers" day in Macon. We paid $7 and went upstairs to the "museum". In reality it was a listening room where you could listen to Capricorns library of (I think) 7000 songs. Which is cool I guess.I'm not sure what I was expecting but, that was not it. So... Back downstairs where we talked to the employee. I told him that was the quickest I'd ever spent $7. So, he took us on the studio tour. Studio B was cool but then he took us into Studio A. This was an amazing experience. Just knowing musical greats such as The Allman Brothers Band, Otis Redding, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Wet Willie and soooo many more had recorded there just made the experience. If you're a music fan, in particular a Southern Rock fan, this has to be on your bucket list. Fortunately for me, it's only an hour down the road. Q

Met a friend for the reopening/ revival activities. Really nice occasion, great music, happy people, cool environment that still has a vibe from their heyday. So happy to see more great Mercer interest in the continued revitalization of Macon.

Great place! Unfortunately we didn’t make it in time to do the studio tour, as they only do it at 10am. But the museum itself was pretty cool. Southern rock at its finest! You can waste a lot of time up there listening to music and checking out the memorabilia. Very reasonably priced as well! Highly recommend!

Wish I could really rate this!! We thought there was an actual museum that we could walk through but there is not. You have to sign up for tours which I believe are Fri-Sunday??. I will say that the guy that greeted us was very nice and gave us some suggestions on other things we could do while we were in town. Of course we were leaving before the tours.

We visited last Saturday and had an awesome experience. The music and the history of this place is amazing. I want to give a shout out to Bob. He went above and beyond. He took the time to give us a studio tour because no bands were recording and was so gracious and informative.
