Love Lori and her staff! I’ve been driving from Perry to North Macon for 14 years because it’s worth the drive. When my pets are happy to go in the front door and to the grooming area, that tells me of the love and care taken each time. Lifetime customer!

First time taking my babies two cats while I went on a cruise. I'm new to the area and was so nervous. Macon Pets put me at ease because my two cats could stay together and I was able to leave their teddy bear. They were fine 👍

Busy day there, waited over 30 minutes beyond appointment time. Friendly support staff. Nice clean facilities. Vet gave good advice on issues and drained a throat cyst quickly and provided good instructions on aftercare. Convenient location, and I will continue using their services in the future.

I have a very high anxiety dog and I was very unsure of taking her to be groomed, but they did such a great job easing my nerves and took great care of my baby! They had her in and out ASAP and were very responsive to all of my questions. I will be taking her back again and would highly recommend this groomer!

Shaved the dog without permission. Groomer did such a bad job that they warned the dog would get sunburn.One year later and my dog's hair is still growing in.We've switched groomers and they've confirmed how irresponsible the grooming was for a dog this age.

We have struggled as our dogs are large, and though they love the water, do not like being in a bathtub. This place made it easy to drop off, and I know our dogs are big and energetic, but they had them beautiful, soft, and cleaned thoroughly.It is not a simple drop off and pick up and hour later, but I liked this because it gave me the freedom to run my errands. They did give me an approximate time, which helped.I was grateful for the great job they did on our dogs.

These folks always do a great job at taking care of our fur babies while we are in town. We come in sporadically, but we always try to come down at a minimum once a month. Prices are unbelievably reasonable, and they are flexible with doggy daycare hours. They do a great job grooming as well. Love it, and I would definitely recommend. If I trust them with my dog Duke, then I'd trust them with anything and anybody. Lol.

I have always loved Macon Pets and the people working there. I have been a customer for 28 years with 2 different dogs so that should tell you how I liked them. I called today to get an appointment for my senior companion who has been going there 13yrs and got a total surprise. Their page states: We take care of your Senior Companions in all shapes and sizes, but that's not true. This needs to be removed from their page! They told me they could no longer groom my dog due to he cant stand on his poor little legs long enough and they don't have the belt to hold him up. You would think if you loved animals and cared about a 28yr old customer you would do anything you could to accommodate them and not lose them , but I guess not the case. Buy a belt in case you have other senior companions would be a great option, but I guess not to you. Sorry Macon Pets, but your lost is someone else's gain, because we have been a very faithful customer !

Boarders beware!!! This was the first time we ever boarded our 10 month old Doberman’s and I thought I had done my homework, but unfortunately that’s not the case. For starters the guy who works there is rude and pushy, they only took them out for maybe fifteen minutes in the morning, after being left in the room all night because they close at five and don’t return until the next morning around 8 or so. They have no way to access the outside if they need to go to the bathroom so of course they just peed on the floor. Our dogs are fully trained and they know better than to do that but of course they had no choice. I sent my niece and nephew to pick them up because they looked so miserable and they told us that we have to pay for the full time even though they left several days early. Just not happy with the treatment of our dogs or ourselves! We will definitely be finding a different place!!!

I used this pet service years ago when I lived in Macon. While traveling from Savannah to Atlanta during Dorian they were accommodating, our family pet Jade stayed there for 2 days! She was also given a bath during her stay, she was clean and happy when we picked her up! The price for the stay and bath and were great!! I wish there was a store in Savannah!!

$25 cat condos (tax included) came in handy! They were patient with me calling every day to see how she was doing. :-P They took her out each day to play with her. This really is why I didn't just have my brother pop in to feed her once a day at home. She got some good socialization.

I take my English Bulldog often to get groomed. You just can't beat the friendliness and the service (plus the price is SO reasonable)! My Hunky loves going there and usually stays all day. When I return , he is always happy as a lark. I love this place! Kristie Chiles

Took my lil baby, Jackson, here to get a flea bath today and when I got him home he still had several fleas on him. I called back to complain and the employee told me they dont guarantee all fleas will be off your dog and that if your dog comes in with fleas then he/she will leave with fleas. I was baffled at his response...Why would you offer a flea bath and you don't rid the dog of fleas? The employee offered to re bathe Jackson but after speaking to an employee from Petsmart, where we normally go, I declined because it may irritate him or dry out his skin. The employee then advised he would issue me a refund, but when I drove all the way back there he only gave me two dollars stating that's how much it cost for the bath. I have never had my dog treated with sych poor service. Needless to say I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I guess they have bad reviews for a reason. It's best to just pay more with Petsmart and have the job done correctly!

Doggie daycare review: We were visiting family in Macon and wanted our dog to have a fun day as well and not just be cooped up while we were gone, but little did we know that is exactly what happened. Not knowing much about the area, I googled doggie daycares in the area and Macon Pet Resort & Spa appeared to be the best option for our furbaby. When we got there, we called our vet to fax over our dog's vet records to show that he had gotten his required vaccinations (he had), when the records didn't come after a couple minutes, the employee allowed our dog to go back to the doggie daycare anyway (which if our dog wasn't vaccinated, is dangerous for the other dogs). We then walk out of the store/daycare to find that the "daycare" is just a small room with 3 large divided kennels. And that our dog is alone is one of the large kennels scratching to get out when he saw us through the glass paneled wall. He was one of the 3 dogs there, and the other 2 were both too small for him to play with. Come to find out, this is all there is to this "doggie daycare" facility. There is no outdoor playtime, no one is supervising the dogs or playing with them at all. When we pick up our dog, he was so bored and just laying down. The doggie daycare they offer is HORRIBLE. I felt so guilty for leaving my furbaby there, and quite frankly, severely overcharged for the services provided. I would NOT RECOMMEND their doggie daycare to anyone.

They r the only pet store that carries primal raw dog food. I have to drive an HR to get my babies raw duck. But, she is worth it. A good friendly place.
