We love the friendly people at Thriftway and the high quality meat! They have some awesome sheep casing sausages, the chuck is amazing and great price on beautiful Boston butt and pork roasts! Half of the Boston butt in the picture is in our crock pot right now. We are making a Lipton soup coke roast! So tender and tasty with Vidalia onions potatoes and carrots over rice!

Great meats and produce. The associates SPEAK to you, and real live human being rings you out. Tthey have bag boys that will bag and take your things to the car. Paper bags are optional for a quarter per bag, and you dont have to walk a half mile to get in or walk all day looking for what you need. I can shop there in half the time it takes at WM. So much less hassle!. Costs a tad more, but well worth it. Give em a try.

Always greeted when you enter, they have fresh meat and vegetables options. If needed the meat department can cut any meat down for you and package it. When you exit there are people to help take your items to the vehicle and load your groceries.

Staff is friendly for the most part, but prices are much higher than the other competitors. The store isn't as clean as it could be. The lady that works in the produce is very sweet. The meat department always looks great, and good prices for the quality... I wouldn't probably do my weekly shopping there, I only run in for something last minute in meat section.I gave a 4 star because they need serious help in the cashier section, and there's always boxes in the last isle that clutters the dairy section, and this isn't here n there, it's everytime I go in!

I shop often at this store. It is clean and well stocked. Variety is limited due to store size. They have a good choice of meats and if you don't see what you want, they will special cut it for you. It has a small deli where they prepare limited(variety) buffet plates but the food is delicious and there is always a line at lunch.

Bad, bad, bad! This was the LAST time ever I go there!!Meat I bought on the 2nd, said to use by the 8th. I opened it on the 5th and it was just bad spoiled! Smelled so bad my dog wouldn't eat the bone from it!Red Potatoes I bought the same day in a store wrapped pkg, spoiled as well! Brown juice oozing out of them!I wished I knew out to post pictures on this post!!!Do yourself a favor, stay way away!!!

This store in Toombs county georgia has the most respectable people in the whole community. These people are really well mannered and know how to treat their customers who come in the store. Prices may be a little bit pricey but when you get treated with respect, that goes a long way than prices. Please by all means go to this store and you'll find out the same experience that I have every time I go in.

UPDATE!! Went there again, and had very rude cashier, Diana. Had about half of groceries on the conveyor belt and she wanted us to step aside and let another person behind us, get ahead of us. The woman behind us said no she would stay where she was at. Diana again tried to get us to let her go ahead again and the woman said no. Then another line opened and Diana told the woman to go to that one. Diana did not greet us, and she ignored us when at the end we told her, "Thank you & have a good day" Then our bagger said to another bagger, Black Power Rules. This is no way to act or talk in front of customers! We will not go back and we will pass the word around.Clean inside. Decent prices on somethings, as it is with any store. You don't have to join a reward program to get the sale prices.

Rude people! Stood waiting for service from meat dept. While waiting a man and boy walk up and the boy walks to the back and out comes a worker to help them. I made the comment about standing here waiting and the boy says " i work here" ok thats fine but i was standing there along time when this man walked up. Needs to work on fast friendly service.

Although I shop there, I have to watch the expectation dates of fresh food. The staff are friendly but they are careless when packing groceries and putting them in the car. More customer relation training would be good.

This is one of the best grocery stores in Georgia. It always has that welcome with a smile feel. The prices are the best around. The employees are the friendliest folks everytime I go in. Suggestion is to shop here and here only.

Unless you hit this place right, their pork products or chicken can turn rancid within 2 days or so! You have to pay attention to dates and even then you may be disappointed if you don't go home and freeze it or use it the same day. Same goes with their peanuts.I think he buys some of his stuff the same place Dollar Store does! Its left over or seconds!!!
