This place is phenomenal! Matthew Davis has went above and beyond every single time I’ve stopped by. I brought a mower in roughly a month ago, and they fixed it on the spot! Every time I’ve called they give details about the equipment I’ve purchased, maintenance for the equipment, the list goes on and on. Definitely 5 star and I’d give 6 if they had that option! Best place I’ve found hands down!

Matthew was unbelievably Helpful. I recently bought my mower and had an Issue, not sure if it was operator, error or not, but Matthew pointed me in the Right direction and viola, Problem solved. I'm a regular (Weekly) customer of this place for the past 20 years. I have purchased all of my Stihl equipment from here, weekly chicken feed, smoker pellets, cleaning chemicals, truck loads of mulch every spring, etc. etc. The employees all recognize me and are very nice and helpful....Until today. I don't usually return items but I am having contractors remodeling our home and they needed HVAC return vent covers. Unfortunately I needed four of these and they only had two in stock, so I bought the two they had and I bought two of the more expensive covers that had the adjustalble vent. Unfortunately the adjustable vents would not fit my system. So I stopped by to see if they had received any more into stock of the plain ones and lucklily they had two in stock so I went to do an exchange. The only issue is that the contractor had opened the plastic film on one of the two that i needed to exchange and since the plastic had been opened they refused to exchange it. It had never been used and I presented my original receipt from less than two weeks ago. I was shocked when the cashier said she couldn't do anything with the open one and I said "seriously"....And then from across the room the manager (Whom I have known for years as he used to work for the previous owners) said, "Yeah seriously.....I can't resell that now that it's open." I really couldn't believe they were so petty as to not exchange this for a regular customer I simply just left everything with them and unfortunately I will no longer be a customer at this location going forward. I didn't receive a credit nor do I need one. I can afford to drop it off and walk away and take my business elsewhere.

We went there for something simple. Some kids stop to help us he couldn't have been over 20 years old. He didn't have a clue what I was talking about. And he sure didn't call anyone else to help me. So we left there with nothing at all. Don't get me wrong he was a nice kid but he didn't have any experience. He should have called someone else to help us.

They had the threaded pvc pipe fitting yesterday, that I needed to fix the broken pipe at my well. Lowe's didn't have it.Life saver! Quick in and out. Thx!

The store is great and all very friendly and helpful staff. My main great experience was with their service department. They went way overboard to fix my weedeater problem. Jake and ben were great on how they handled the problem and trying to solve it many, many ways. @ people even work on it past their clock out time. They are incredible and a real asset to the store. They have my business from now on!!

Never felt more uncomfortable in a store with my service dog by my side. A few employees visibly expressed their displeasure as soon as we walked in. It was a beautiful and well maintained store, but the employees could use a little customer service training in these special situations.

The two gentlemen over the weed eater and chainsaw section really helped me find a nut for my Echo weed eater. Turned out, you can use a Stihl nut that's left-handed thread and the guys figured it out before I knew it. Fantastic service

Stopped in for my first time and loved this place. I bought my first chainsaw and the guy helping me had only been at this location for 2 days. He was super helpful, friendly, and patient with me as I had a lot of questions making the best decision on brand etc. Definitely recommend these guys in any equipment purchase you may have.

Excellent Customer Service. Pricing is a bit high, but some of the items that are marked down are great deals. A little bit of everything.Doghouses displayed out front, way over priced.I am aware the cost of lumber is high.

I am so impressed with this store.!!! Recently bought a house in Lula. Im not very hardware store savvy, and it can be a little intimedating as Im out of my league.Everytime Iv been in this store , I am immediately greeted and asked if I need help, of course I do.On my visit yesterday a very helpful and kind gentleman walked with me and got me everything I needed with a smile and Pride in his job. Wish I had got his name. He was truely amazing and so very patient.Thank you so very much!!!! Please commend him. Cant find my reciept, I bought snake repellant, a filter and bug killer. Home Depot could take a lesson from you in what customer service really looks like. I will be back whenever I need something. So impressive. Im a Retail store manager myself. This is the way it should be done!!!

First of all, they take customer service to a whole new level. When you walk in, there is always someone there that immediately asks if they can help you find something, and when I left a staff member came over to get the cart so I didn't have to walk back to the store. Sometimes it's just the little things that make a place great. They have had everything I need for my house....paint, plumbing, tools, hardware, chain, they even have glass and cut it to fit my outdoor table! Way to go ladies and gents!

They didn't have the hedge pruner aerosol spray made by steel that I wanted I also visited visited swinehearts down the street as well they didn't have any pruning spray either I ended up getting some three in one oil from this place for my pruner both places had really friendly and kind staff. The first place I went to had a technician who walked around with me and told me a lot of still secrets the other place I really had a good time with walking ground discussing the various oils with also so both places really rocking.

It is a great store except for the 2 bad encounters I've had there with the old man in the wheelchair. Bought expensive brass pipe fittings that was not threaded right. He refused to give my wife a refund. I had to go back and make a scene to the old man in the wheel chair...before he would refund my money. He said he didnt want to refund my money because he could not resale what i brought back. We live 6 miles from there and have not set foot inside there in a few years.

This is the 1st time that I have been in the store since it changes from Ace Hardware Lula, Ga to Howard Brothers. When we walked in there were employees standing around. We were not greeted nor asked if we needed help. We walked around the store for about 15 minutes and still no one came around. When we found what we needed and went to the register the cashier never spoke except to say the total. Not even a thank you come again.

Not my favorite hardware store, only go when I absolutely have to. Had a really bad experience one time when I brought something back. Don't like the paint quality and feel that most of the items are overpriced.

Above and beyond!!! We lost our camper lights and turn signals while driving up the highway. Stopped at ACE to buy a new connector. We had great service while making our purchase. Then ran into a snag after wiring up the new connector. After the store closed, Mr. Cantrell stayed with us while we worked on it then jumped into action. He helped rewire the connector and helped checked for a blown fuse. We are so grateful to him and his son.This is beyond customer service. This is southern hospitality at its best!!!! Thank you, Mr. Cantrell!!!

Went in a couple days ago looking for paint. I asked for a satin finish of the color Silver Satin from Banjamin Moore in the off brand paint.I ended up with a color they called Royal Satin it was a more greyish color than what I asked.I also asked for a satin finish of the Benjamin Moore Teal color and they gave me an eggshell finish.When the colors were presented to me I didnt really pay attention, and the employee did not compare the colors I picked out, which was odd to me since its always done. But I trusted them, since I didnt have issues the first time I got paint from them (when they were Ace instead of Howard) Once I was home and started painting I noticed all the differences. At this point it was to late to go back and say something. In a way I noticed them unsure of what they were doing but I just thought that the kid mixing my painting was learning. But now I realized that they didnt understand what I was asking for clearly, and instead of asking me again they just went and did things their way and possibly thought I wouldnt notice.

horrible customer service! looked online and found they advertised a product i was looking for for $24.99 so i decided to go after work to pick it up considering that was a good price. got to the store and found the item i had viewed online, but it was $36.99. i went to the front desk with the item and asked them if they would honor the price that they had advertised on the internet. the sale associate said "no" so i asked to speak with the manager. the manager (who was sitting at a desk 20 feet away) over heard the conversation and yelled "buy it online if its that good of deal and have it sent to your house". i was astonished. needless to say that is terrible customer service and i will never step foot back in this store again.

So I was at this ace hardware the other day and made a purchase, as I was leaving the parking lot the Entrance gate started closing on me. I slammed on my brakes so not to get hit by the gate or to damage the gate. I waited a few minutes and also tried to see if there was a trigger mechanism to force the gate open but it did not open. I turned around to go back to the store and about halfway back an employee was heading my way. The employee did not even stop or try to communicate with me as to what was going on or what he was about to do but looked at me and shook his head as if I was the DA. The employee got the gate open an as I passed him I thought I would at least get an apology but only his arrogant demeanor. This is why I would rather shop at a big box store cause at least I would have received an apology instead of his condescending attitude.
