Very clean store, employees were courteous upon entering. The store was clean, shelves stocked pretty well. The store needs more fruit to choose from. But all in all not too bad of a store to shop at. Definitely need to fix the price tag bar that sits on the shelves it's sometimes hard to read the prices when it's hand written. Maybe invest in the electronic price tags for the shelves, just a thought.

IGA has come a long way since we lived here in the last year.They would do a lot better if the whole shopping lot had a face lift and maybe remodeled the store. Also, keep up with FIFO on the merch.

I don't normally review businesses, I don't feel my opinion is that important. However, I recently moved to Ludowici and I have to say, 4 out of 5 times when shopping here I had items I had to throw away. On 2 different occasions I purchased lunch meat with an expiration date a couple weeks away. I had to throw it away because it was smiley. Another time I purchased a bag of bagels with my haul, No date on it, however figured it should be ok, once I opened the bag it had a horrible sour smell.On another trip I purchased a bag of baby carrots, again an expiration date a couple weeks away. Slimy, I had to throw away.4 out of 5 times an item I purchased went straight in the trash. Either their lunch meat and produce coolers are not cooling to the proper temp, or they let stuff sit out too long before stocking it.My freezer and can good items were fine so I may return for a canned item or freezer item on the fly, however its unlikely.Also if you care about your health and live in Ludowici unfortunately a trip to Hinesville or Jesup is a must. Very few if any low sodium options in the canned aisle, and seasoning sections, no low fat or fat free cheese, sour cream in the dairy section. And their produce section was sad and pathetic. I have a hard time referring to this place a grocery store.

I remember when the Governor of Georgia stationed a Highway Patrol Car under a sign warning drivers that Ludowici was a traffic trap for out of state drivers/cars. The town was financed by the traffic tickets. They even had a song made about Ludowici on Highway 301.

I shop this location because the meat ALWAYS look so pretty and fresh as if it was just cut from the animal. The prices are compairable to the bigger chain stores. This location is always very clean and well stocked. The staff is kind and helpful. No complaints at all...A++

Honestly if I could I would give a zero star rating but that’s not a option. I’ve been to IGA many times as a last minute option because it’s right up the road from my house. I’ve seen dead flys in the packaged meats and just yesterday there was MAGGOT in my broccoli I purchased. This place really needs to be shut down. Don’t get me wrong most of the time the customer service is great but rotten meat, dead bugs in the packaging and maggots are a No for me.

I had never been to an IGA before. Reminiscent of a small town grocery store. Prices seemed a little high compared to Walmart. The store was clean and the clerk was nice.

The staff is usually rude or unpleasant and the prices are typically High but it's a small town grocery store with a small selection. I wouldn't want to shop here for anything other than an "I forgot" an ingredient or pick up some snack items. The store is not dirty, it is just old and small but it meets the needs of this small town and the people who live here or travel through.

It's ok if you need something in a rush. The manager is unfriendly. If you ask him to order a certain item he tells you, very rudely that they do not have space. Well if you want to keep customer's happy it wouldn't hurt a thing to order something that others will also buy. If it doesn't sell then drop it from your next order. See, it's that easy. I try my best to go elsewhere unless I'm in a rush

Check dates on your groceries. I have bought Heinz ketchup for many, many years at different grocer...when I bought from IGA Ludowici...Immediately, I knew something tasted off! Ketchup's tone was darker and didn't have the quality or taste that I have ALWAYS known. Previously I unbeknownst purchased several stale products from IGA Ludowici, enough to steer clear from getting edibles from this store.

I went to visit to visit a Family member who lives there in these town. So unless you want to drive a few extra miles to Walmart. Then this is the place to go. It's a nice little grocery store. And it had everything we needed. It was a nice experience shopping there.

some of the workers have great customer service, but the old caucasian man that rings people up is very rude and only speaks to his race. for example i went right after another caucasian man he was talking to him but soon as it's time to ring me up and i say hey how you doing he doesn't answer at all and barely wants to put my money in my hand. totally pitful 🗑

Once again, no public bathroom! And the employees are so non-chalant about it! This is huge to me because if I have to use the bathroom in the middle of shopping, I gotta leave and then come back??!! Nope! They did have the children's medicine I needed though.

It really has a smell of rotten potatoes. The people are extremely helpful. Except Management is HORRIBLE! The strawberries had about a day left what do you mark them down? Absolutely not!! He would rather throw them away.

I just moved to Ludowici, GA and was overjoyed that there was an IGA here. Last week, I entered the store and cashed my paycheck and was happy to shop your store. I thought that the staff was very polite and even though the store is quite small, I was able to purchase everything I needed.But today I entered your store to repeat the process but unfortunately waited for the Manager to come to the Customer Service Desk for over 45 minutes. In that time, they lost 3 other customers who were also waiting. The cashier and stocker was very apologetic and checked on us several times. But even though management was paged several times, they failed to arrive. So I left and went to Walmart and bought my week's worth of groceries from them.Upon arriving home and relating my story to my family that has lived here for years, I was informed that my experience today is the normal business practice for this particular store. They advise me that they, and everyone they knew in town, had a horror story about your store and that none of them shopped there anymore.I have been a loyal customer in my last place of residence but to wait for a Manager for 45 minutes is inexcusable and therefore I will not be shopping this store in the future.

Had to make this just because of the meat. I'll never buy here again. Time before last the pork gave multiple people food poison like symptoms and the last time the beef meat looked fine until you pulled it out of package and it was already turning brown. The meat always has this god awful smell when frying it. Unbearable. Management isn't any better I worked here 10 years ago and I'm sure the meat along with any other perishable items are products of Alans poor Management skills not with the product but concerning the employee and customer. I'm sure his turnover rate is high and the customers aren't happy. He always knows best. I have nothing against him I'm just surprised they haven't figured this out yet

The manager of this establishment is so rude! I don't know how the wonderful ladies who work there tolerate his attitude. I only go here if I don't have time to travel for 1 small item I forgot when I'm cooking and that's only because of the employees who are the best.

Very little selection and prices arent great. Store needs cleaning. I couldnt get down several aisles bc they were stocking and had the aisles blocked with huge pallets of boxes. Employees were rude as if there day was ruined at 10am but so was mine after this experience.

The staff aren't around whenever you go in there and need help finding something. You literally have to find the staff in order to ask where the items are you wanna buy and sometimes when you're looking for the staff you end up finding what you're looking for then have to wait in line for them to come to the register to ring you up. The PRICES are Ridiculously high!!!! The ground beef is GARBAGE meat!!! Even after Draining the ground beef after cooking, after you eat it you feel like you just ate spoonfuls of Crisco grease!! YUK!!!
