I have had 2 trainers in the past with dogs and when left was not comfortable with the dogs/left not knowing what to do nor how to properly keep up with training.I did leave with all questions answered/confident as well as walked through how to keep up with training at home. It was not just a pick up and leave- it was 2.5 hours of Brittanie answering all questions and showing/teaching me how to keep up with everything she has instilled in her over the last few weeks.Very grateful and would highly recommend!

Took our heeler here for some behavior training. So pleased with how they got to know our dog and my daughter. Always there to encourage us and treated us like part of their pack. Thank you for your commitment to families and their 4 legged family members.

Honestly, no better place to take your dogs. They listen, pay attention to behaviors and make sure you know how to continue training afterwards. I live 2 hours away and have still suggested everyone I can to go to them. Worth the drive and there’s a reason there’s a wait. Not only did they train my border collie 4 years who is continuing to be amazing, but they have helped tremendously with our Belgian Malinois who has also become an amazing dog. Our border collie was Food aggressive, ran away constantly and chewed everything he could. There is absolutely no Food aggression left and we trust him with all other dogs. His recall is impeccable to the point that we do not have to have a fence in our yard because we know he will come when called no matter how far away. We have been able to control his excessive chewing and ensure his energy is exerted in the correct fashion. They continue to help after training and honestly, it is worth every dime. I would recommend them to anyone looking to give their dogs a better life and to enjoy being a dog owner than much more

Gray’s has trained 3 of my GSD over the years. I highly recommend her services. Training is the best investment you can make not only for yourself, but also your dog. We had a behavior issue arise lately and she promptly responded to my message. So, she definitely provides support post training. I also have utilized her boarding services, as no other place would allow him to stay due to being unaltered.

Please don't waste your money here! If you care about your pup this isn't the place to take them. Detached from the work (too many years doing it) it clearly shows in how the owner treats her pups. The owner has far too many pups to train each one properly. If you can't tour the kennels don't expect your pup to be well taken care of. Count the number of pups on the videos and visually view where they sleep (in crates)! Crate and rotate is what we saw firsthand. My pup was severely dehydrated and malnourished with bloody sores on his lips. Scratches and cuts on his paws. The vet said his lips were pink and not black due to lack of sun or trauma!!! Look at the paperwork you are signing.. they take zero responsibility and offer NO REFUNDS. The website says they are insured in the Carolinas and we couldn't find a record of the company (why insured when you have to pay if your pup gets hurt while with them). Please do your research ... we aren't finished making this right!

Took our pup Tilly here for board and train. I was in awe at how much they were able to teach her in such a short amount of time. The environment was great.Weeks after we took her home, my wife and I started noticing some changes in behaviors and knew that we were the cause in this somehow. We emailed Grays really late in the night about it to ask if they had any advice on what might be going on. They replied immediately and scheduled us to come back for a session to observe us.Immediately after arriving they gave me really great input and made me realize how little I was doing to be a leader to our puppy. During that time I had the “aha!” moment where everything they were saying finally clicked into my head and all made sense as to why she was acting the way she was. We weren’t working our puppy enough through the day, we were letting her do what she wanted with little structure. (Laziness on my part). I went home and we worked her for a while until she got tired. The whole behavior issue we were concerned about has not occurred since. They are great trainers, very professional, very friendly and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to train their pups. Money well spent.

Had our Border Collie visit for off leash program. The biggest benefit was he “learned how to learn” and it made the training process doable for my family. Not sure where he would be training-wise if it wasn’t for Grays. Recommend if you want to give your dog a awesome lifelong foundation

Just an awesome team, we took our pitbull terrier, who was just out of control, he would lunge at anyone and anyone with a dog. Brittany changed his behavior and trained us how to handle him, I can now take him inside a pet store and out in public parks. He was also a big chewer, chewed the couch and loveseat, shoe's, etc., since he's return home hasn't chewed the first thing!!! If you're having problems with your true love with four paws, I would definitely choose Gray's K-9 Academy.

I attended a training seminar at Gray’s K9 Academy this weekend. Brittanie and all of her staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make sure myself and each person felt comfortable with the training material provided and I highly recommend Britannie and everyone at Gray’s K9. They are truly some of the best!!! Thank you again for helping me to further my education and fuel my passion again in the world of dog behavior and training.

My pit bull had animal aggression and was jumpy and nervous around kids. I sent her to Brittany for 6 weeks. And it’s like I have a new dog!!! She loves other animals, loves my kids, she will lay perfectly still and let my 11 month old play with her! It’s like Brittany and the girls showed her how to be the happy go lucky pup we always knew she was! Brittany kept us informed and updated every step of the way( and I’m a crazy helicopter parent 😂) I would definitely recommend grays k9 academy

We sent our dog to their board and train with behavior modification for his anxiety and animal aggression. It was a huge amount of money to start, which worried me but I made sure to consult with her about the behavioral issues in detail. When we go to pick him up, all the dogs are shaking, they're so afraid of her. Not only that, but our dog had learned nothing more than what I'd already trained him to do other than how to stay in one spot! He was still aggressive and even more anxious than before. I do the follow-up advice consistently but with no change and when I tell them this, I get no response back. They failed to do what we consulted about and while I know they can't guarantee a change in behavior, but they did not consult me that their program would not do well for dogs with anxiety and didn't really even focus on correcting his problems. I feel cheated that the program resulted in a bigger behavior issue and they don't want to respond to me. I put a lot of money and trust into them for nothing.I would never recommend you board and train your dog here, or at all. Boarding, sure. But the training will get you nowhere.

Grays K9 Academy is awesome. I wish I had a better word. We drove from Charleston, SC to this place! WORTH IT. Went on a referral from a friend and we could not be happier with the outcome of our puppy. We did the board and train off leash program. Brittanie, her sister (forgot her name!!!) and the team are dedicated to working with your dog and do a great job explaining that it really takes a lot of training on the owner’s part, too. Brittanie is there for you even after your dog leaves this program. We are planning for another pup in the spring and we will not hesitate to bring the new pup to this place. Happy pup, happy family! Thanks guys!!!!

Grays k9 academy has trained 5 dogs within our family. Three of the dogs were over 3 years of age so we were a little concerned if their bad habits (and our bad habits) could be corrected. Well, they were. 😃. Give them a try—you won’t be sorry

This was our first training for our dog (7 year old pitbull), so really don't have much comparison. The training itself was comprehensive however, I'm not necessarily as sure of how successful it actually was. We did a pre-training assessment for our dog before she was deemed as "trainable", and she was admitted to a 6 week program. After the training, she continues to be very aggressive, and her episodes are more aggressive then pre-training. I think the usage of force, and e-collar has not proven to be an adequate solution for a super anxious dog like ours. Since the training ended, our dog has been shedding non-stop, and we just recently found out that this is due to all the stress. Considering the high cost for this training (close to $4,000), and the lack of consistent followup after the training (where we call, and often don't get a call back until a few days later), I can say that we would have certainly reconsidered our decision to go with this trainer, had we known that our dog would end up with similar behavioral issues at the end of this.

We have been extremely pleased with the progress our dog made in this program. Because of her behavior prior to training we could not take her many places. Now she is able to go where we go and she is a safer and happier dog. This program is life changing. We are truly grateful.

I took my 11 month old Goldendoodle to Gray’s K-9 Academy while in town over the holidays for leash and recall training. Brittanie only had him for 5 full days and it was amazing how much he learned in such a short time. I had taught Winston most basic commands prior to his training with Brittanie but I couldn’t get him to “come” or not pull on a leash. He had a ton of puppy energy and wouldn’t listen. Brittanie sent me videos of his progress daily and within the first 1-2 days he was walking on a leash without pulling, going to “place” and staying until given the command to “come”. It was such a relief having her build this foundation and have him listen before introducing our first baby into the world. He is such a good big brother and such a different dog than he was before going to Gray’s K9 Academy. I can’t thank Brittanie enough!

I had two very anxious dog trained by them. Gulliver the worse of the two was reactive and could not be taken anywhere without worry he would lunge at or bite someone or another dog. Luna was terrified and would pull so bad on leash. After trialing luna is now able to walk anywhere off leash at heal with no issues and Gulliver still on leash is very obedient and rarely is reactive anymore. He is a constant work in progress but we owe our dogs happiness to grays k9. Without them our dogs would still be anxious dogs terrified of the outside world.

GraysK9 is not only able to train you dog they are able to help strengthen your bond with them. Our Yorkie ran the house and now he understands he needs to respect our home almost better than the kids. Coco is better than what we hoped he would be from the training. We are happy and he is too.

I cannot recommend Gray's highly enough. I recently attended a two-day training seminar with my highly reactive, aggressive, 80 lb. bulldog/pointer mix. The ladies at Gray's literally got me from being a teary, worried mess with a nutso, lunging dog to walking him by several dogs (on and off-leash) - and on day one, no less! My dog Brutus is by no means "cured," but even after two days of training and guidance I feel like we have tons that we can work on to get Brutus into a better mental state around some of his "triggers" to keep everyone safe.I would highly recommend that if you're struggling with you dog, or he/she is the menace of the neighborhood - don't give up on them. Give them a chance to show you that they can do better, given the right tools and trainers (Gray's of course :) ) We will definitely be back for future seminars if we are able to make it!On a side note: they also work with much "easier" dogs, not just the crazy ones. We had a few puppies or dogs that needed some polish, and everyone saw improvement in the same weekend.

This may very well be the best dog trainer around, but I can’t offer a review of those services. My class in March was postponed due to COVID. I was then reassigned to a new class in July without my consent or confirmation. Upon realizing I was reassigned to a class I did not attend (because I didn’t know about it), I asked to be placed into a new class. Instead of obliging, I was told I could receive the training that I already paid for at a measly 20% discount in price. I again requested to be placed in a new class at no additional charge or be refunded as I would have been at the original class had it not been postponed. They still refuse to allow me to take the training they’ve been paid to provide. You may get amazing dog training, as reviewed by others, but in my case they kept my money and then wanted more of it.

We have a strong willed bull terrier that had food and animal aggression. After training he has been 100 percent better. He has been more obedient and follows all commands that he was taught.

I adopted a pup that was scared of his own shadow... They built his confidence as well as give him the basic obedience commands. He's a different dog... Very much for the better!
