Mike was amazing and gave us all the information we needed before departing on our full day pontoon trip on this beautiful lake! The boat fits 12 people and is very clean, speaking of clean the lake was absolutely stunning, once you get a little out there into the deeper water the water becomes spotless and very comfortable to swim in as it is a freshwater lake. The views were fantastic and you can bring your own fishing equipment to catch some bass, trout, or pike. I would recommend this to anyone looking for some activities in this area. About 2 miles from the location is the beautiful Minnehaha Waterfall which includes a totally worth it 5 minute walk from the trailhead to get some good pictues!

Had such an awesome experience with Bear Gap Rentals! OIUr family came up during Spring Break and we braved the cold waters. We rented 3 paddle boards and a kayak and everything was so easy. Great local business to work with and support. We will be back!

Michael was extremely nice & helpful! He set me up with a stand up paddleboard in less than a days notice. Spent 4 hours out on gorgeous Lake Rabun. Highly recommend packing a lunch and taking your time. You won't regret it :)

Our family visited Lake Rabun on Memorial Day Weekend, and we rented a pontoon from Bear Gap Outfitters. Michael made things super easy for us, and everything was exactly as we'd hoped and expected. Couldn’t have had a better or easier or more beautiful experience renting a canoe and rowing around Lake Rabun the other day for my birthday! Serene and sunny, and the whole lake was blooming with laurels. My brother, sister, pup, and I had the very best time! I must say that this was one of my top favorite trips. Bear Gap is a family owned, friendly, and reliable agency for just about all your recreational rental needs! My wife and I rented a pontoon boat. The boat was super nice, well maintained, and fit our needs perfectly. The best part of the experience, besides the beautiful views, was our host. He gave us history on the area, landmarks, and recommendations on nice spots to observe. This was my first time on this lake, but after talking with him and going over the map of the lake that he provided, I felt right at home and not once got disoriented while out. I 100% recommend renting from this family. We will definitely be back on a regular basis. I left Bear Gap not only feeling like I got more than my money's worth, but also feeling we found a new friend! Absolutely amazing!

Highly recommend renting with Mike. He makes sure you’re comfortable before you leave the dock and is awesome about communication beforehand. We had a great day on a very clean pontoon with 6 adults and 2 kids.

This was our 1st time on Lake Rabun. Mike @ Bear Gap Outfitters was very helpful and informative. The boat was the best we have ever rented. Super clean and ran well. Very easy to find and navigate the area. This is a beautiful lake with a lot of history. I would highly recommend this experience.

My son and I rented a two person kayak to spend a couple of hours paddling around Lake Rabun. The area of the lake you can travel was gorgeous, and it was a wonderful, relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Michael and family were wonderful to work with, and they even gave us tips on local attractions to check out. Will definitely be back if we’re in the area again.

Dealing with Mike was excellent . He was very accommodating . Boat was ready when we arrived. One of the few places to rent a pontoon boat before spring starts. Our family had a great time on Lake Rabun and he had no problems with us bringing our three dogs along for the trip. Absolutely dog friendly!!!

This was the best day of my entire vacation.The lake is beautiful and the views from thepontoon were BREATHTAKING!The people are so nice to do business with and explain everything to you.The boats are easy to drive , my son and I took turns. There were places to stop and swim as well.I was even allowed to take my small dog with me.I can not say enough good things about this business and staff.I would reccomend this to anyone and I will definitely do this again. Loved this experience. Mike met us at the boat launch and went over the area and his recommended route.The area is beautiful and will make you want to come back.After we arrived back Mike told us about a waterfall nearby. We went and the waterfall was amazing and we had it to ourselves. It was a hidden Treat. Highly recommend the entire excursion. Thanks Mike!

We had a group of eight, ages 9-45. They were able to accommodate us with both single and double kayaks. Some kayaks had dry compartments where we could stash lunch & valuables. Very nice people, easy launch site, lovely place to paddle.

My husband and I rented a canoe for a couple hours and had a wonderful experience. The lake is beautiful, quiet, and calm. Mike is super friendly and I loved meeting his sweet dogs! Would definitely recommend.
