My buddy is actually the one who recommended trying this place. He said he tried it before and highly recommended us trying. We went around 3pm and it wasn’t very busy. There was maybe 7 other people there, which as soon as we walked in we were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere we like. The host ended up being our waitress which she was polite and answered any questions we had. After our food came out sadly she never came back to our table to check on us. My buddy had to get up and ask for a refill for his drink and also had to ask for a knife. Beside these small setbacks, I would highly recommend trying if in the area. At first glance, I was very apprehensive but I am so glad I did. This goes with the saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”Parking: I can see parking being a possible issue during busy hours but at least it’s free.

Went there today. Asked to sit in a corner (my fiance has Parkinson's and severe anxiety) and the girl was very accommodating. She made sure we were comfortable where we had chosen. The waitress that took our order was very patient. She answered our questions and gave us plenty of time to look at.the menu and order. When the food came, it was delicious. I strongly recommend the pork rinds!

Stopped here to grab a quick bite on the way back to Valdosta. Surprisingly, the menu had a good number of options (I thought it would just be hotdogs) to choose from. But I still got a hotdog because I love them and usually can’t find ones without pork at restaurants… I was so happy they had ALL BEEF🤗 I added Chili (which didn’t have pork either 🙌🏾) and coleslaw. It was SOOOO GOOD! So were the fries.. they tasted like they were fried in the blood of JESUS! What was even better was the service. Avery was super friendly and extremely helpful from the moment I walked in to the time I left. Best customer service I’ve experienced in these parts yet!! I will definitely visit again.

Stopped in Lake Park on our way to Florida. We took our kids to the local park to play, and asked some people there where to grab supper. They recommended Lake Dogs as a local favorite so we went right away! Great food and great service, southern hospitality at its best! Our three kids were given free ice cream and a local gentleman gave us the tour of the town! Would love to come back and visit next time we come through!

We decided to order for pick up when family was in town (7 adults and 2 children in total) which came out to about $90 of food.Upon check out on the phone, it was mentioned that there will be a 20% upcharge on top of the $90 bill. Flabbergasted, we asked why and no, it wasn’t a mandatory tip, it was to ensure that we pick up the order and pay….????? Uhhh what?Then, when trying to avoid the fee we offered to call back and split the order in 2 amongst the two immediate families involved and they said “I can’t let you do that now that we know.” Uhhhh …. ???? What?! (I forgot to mention that we offered to pay over the phone to avoid the fee as well.)I won’t bother going to Lake Dogs again. It’s cool how integrated into the community they are but I’d expect their policies to at the very least be logical and their service to at least be kind.

We had a recommendation to stop by. The young lady that waited on us (I'm sorry I forgot her name) said her sister used to bring her as a kid and now her sister Avery owns the restaurant!! The business is steeped in history since it opened Nov 2000!! Our food was delicious!! The atmosphere was wonderful! Listening to the interaction of our waitress with customers added to the dining experience! We'll definitely be back and have already bragged to others about going!!

All around great place! Always friendly, great food and fellowship. Flip flops are recommended at the lake and lake dogs complies.It's well worth the short detour from the interstate for some great travel food to go or dine in! Call ahead with to go orders, pick up and keep on trucking.For great road eats I strongly suggest the Don Dog and house chips. Don't forget to shake on some seasoning salt before to haul out with it! Ugh I'm drooling 🤤 just thinking about it!

Truly family owned and operated. Nachos were fantastic and the dogs were great. We left full, satisfied and happy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish we lived closer so we could go again. We'll stop on our next trip through.

I had the shrimp dinner. The taste was excellent! Definitely would order again. The shrimp were plentiful and it came with fries, slaw, hush puppies and grits! Won't leave hungry with this meal! My husband had the chicken sandwich and he said the flavor was good. My son had loaded nachos. They were going to have music that night but we didn't stay. Would like to go back to for the music and the food.

Hot dogs with chili were good. Onion rings were also very good. Service was good considering they were having some sort of event there. I think it may have been a charity event. Parking lot was unusable due to games be played outside by people from the event. We may have hot a bad weekend to go. But the food and service were good anyhow.Parking: Parking was very limited. Game being played and lots of motorcycles in the parking lot.

I stopped by this evening (07/07/22) for dinner while on my motorcycle. My ride was wet, miserable, detoured, delayed, and traffic jammed, but all that went away when I was greeted by the staff. I have eaten here twice before and wasn’t sure what to try so the suggestion was made for the fried fish and shrimp meal. I was glad the fish and shrimp weren’t over battered and fried. I had cheese grits, fries, and coleslaw as sides, which were spot on. Meal was perfect and my waitress took great care of me. I am sorry if I do not remember your name, but thank you. This place will be my go to when I am in town for military training.

Great place for a great dog. Not only was the dog a winner the service was superb, especially considering how busy they were for a Monday lunch hour.I had the slaw dog and with the artisan made chips, it provided the perfect lunchtime meal. My wife had the bacon wrapped Don dog with chili. I can only assume it was scrumptious because she did not speak to me until it was completed.Although, we are only in the area for a few days, we will return to this little gem to consume more delightful meals. I personally have my eye on the grilled sausage on the hogie bun.If near Lake Park, take the time to stop in. You will not be disappointed.
