Grayson was absolutely awesome and knowledgeable about everything we needed to know. He took about an hour out of his work day to show me and my husband the ropes of starting a self sustaining tank, answered every question we had, and got us hooked up with everything we need. I've been going to Optimum Aquarium for a while now. This place has been go to for New fish or supplies. Mainly everything from the Fish to decor is all from Optimum. They have a huge selection on Seachem products which I use mainly for my Tanks. I've purchased all my South American Cichlids from them and every one of them has been super healthy and no complaints. I was looking for a Red Spotted Gold Severum and Nick (one of the staff) made sure to keep one aside and even called to make sure I got the Severum and it was healthy and everything went smoothly. Aside Nick, Greg and Daniel have also been super helpful and always welcoming me whenever I visit. Aside the fish I encountered a brown algae issue in the tank and instead of recommending me a overpriced product like some stores they recommended me a cheap bottle of Seachem Excel and explained why and how much to use it in depth. One week later my brown algae issue was resolved!I always see very Healthy fish, wide selection of supplies and the staff are amazing and they really know their customers! No matter what level of fish keeper you are in this hobby, you will always enjoy stopping by this place!

This ain’t no Petsmart. If you don’t know what to do and are just starting, go here. They’re very knowledgeable and the variety of fish, reptiles, and other tank type creatures they have is amazing.

Love this store! It’s fun just to look at all the beautiful setups !The staff were great they didn’t make me feel tank stupid ! They happily answered my questions with out pressuring me to buy a lot of stuff! I highly recommend this place !

BEST aquarium store in Georgia!!! The staff was super knowledgeable and very patient with me in choosing tank mates for my aquarium. I bought 6 longfin blue danios, panda catfish and plants. They were all very healthy and vibrant. We drove over an hour to this place and it was well worth it, I won't buy any fish anywhere else!!!

I like to stop by this tropical fish store after I'm in town for HobbyTown USA next door. I have visited several times, the staff is always friendly and answered all our fish questions. Although we haven't ever bought fish from this location, the tanks are always fairly clean. You can tell the staff really cares and takes their time and knows their stuff. They have a variety of saltwater and freshwater fish and tanks. Also teritaniums and lizards, dragons, chameleon and snakes. Last time we were here the staff even let him hold a snake.

Great place! I’m looking at starting my salt water tank again the staff was nice huge selection great price. The store was clean. They resell items so that can be a plus. But will be going there again they made the process supper easy. And now I can buy salt water which is another plus. Great place hands down!

Found the staff very helpful and the store has a great selection. Daniel is great to work with and very genuine. The store store has a wide selection of livestock and products for any aquarium need. I have bought several livestock and other items from this store for my saltwater tank. Looking forward to working with this group in the future with my tank needs. Definitely recommend this aquarium store.

We have set up our tanks way before purchasing fish to ensure the fish will thrive in the tanks. Every fish we have bought here has died within 5 to 10 days of bringing the fish home.The last time we went into this store several fish were struggling to thrive.

Went to look for a new tank. Got loads of help from a very knowledgeable young man. The place was packed but we only had one person ahead of us so there wasn't much wait time. The fish selection was good. We grabbed a few assassin snails to take care of our old tanks pests. Aquarium & fish were pricey..but healthy good quality.

I purchased 2 corydoras from them a couple days ago. Didn't realize until I got home with them that they both have fin rot. Both fish have damaged top fins and one has a damaged tail fin, as well as damaged barbells. Also I tested the water they were bagged in and it had a ridiculously high nitrite rating. They are currently in separate quarantine tanks until I think it's safe to put them with the rest of my corydoras. I would just recommend being cautious when buying. Research the warning signs if a fish has any health problems so you don't end up with fish that dies after a few days.

It is a well maintained store. I live 45 min away and miss a LFS on my side of town. So would not miss the opportunity to visit one when near one. They have good selection of both fresh and salt water fish. A simple check em up trip ended with buying plant and fishes. You can tell the staff knows and love fish by the way the tanks are managed. All my questions were answered promptly and with a smile.

Beat fish store I’ve been to by far! Greg and his team take quality care of all their animals and truly care for the well-being of the fish and reptiles alike. Carter and Ben have always been super helpful and know a lot of information that has helped out our fish journey astronomically. And the young guy who smiles a lot! He’s been so nice and helpful (I can’t remember his name to save my life) but those three guys have been our go-tos for fish advice and haven’t failed us yet. If you love fish go try them out, you won’t be disappointed!! Those boys need a raise!! Love Optimum and all their wonderful employees.

I was in the market for a Betta fish for my son, and didn’t want to shop at a store like petco where the fish typically are kept and bred in poor conditions. I was going to use an online dealer but a friend recommended I check this place out. I’m glad I did. I got the fish much cheaper than from a breeder. He is in terrific health and has a great demeanor. He was fully accustomed to his new tank within an hour or two and is energetic, outgoing (doesn’t hide when he sees me), eating, and exploring the tank. That tells me he was kept well up until his sale. Will definitely be making the trip up from Atlanta for future aquarium needs, the drive was well worth it.Place was packed but still got fairly quick service. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

This place is the real deal. They have an incredible selection of anything you'll need when harboring a very addictive tank hobby - for both reptiles and fish alike!They boast a stunning selection of coral fragments, and an impressive array of both fresh and salt tanks.It felt like we were walking through an aquarium, we had an awesome time browsing here!The tanks are clean, and fish look healthy and well cared for.We look forward to our next visit!

Best place in Kennesaw. The staff is kind and attentive. The fish are well cared for and always healthy (with the exception of the few they adopt in sporadically) and they will order you almost anything you want within reason. I am a frequent visitor.

I would like to give kudos to this store. I am a beginner fish keeper and when starting my tank I did lots of personal research first. I also asked for advise from the fish stores I shop at. And optimum is my forever go to now. I went to Premier Aquatics in Marietta initially. And I was strongly discouraged on so many things. Was told it’s not good to live cycle my tank start up. Also told that to have live plants, I needed CO2 tanks and fertilizer. This all discouraged me from what I wanted. But Optimum strongly encouraged me to use live plants. Noting those things were helpful and beneficial but not necessary and that I could have a successful live plant tank without all the bells and whistles. They also recommended hearty fish to use for live cycling. Each time I go, anyone who helps me gives me their full attention and answers my questions without judgment. I highly recommend this store for aquarium enthusiasts.
