In today's Wayfield Chronicles I ended up at the Wayfield in Jonesboro at 8777 Tara Blvd. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot the first thing that came to mind was that they need more lighting. It’s super dark and doesn’t present the safest environment after dark.Immediately upon walking into the store there was an odor that smelled like old meat. Though the odor was very present, the store was very clean and organized.As Wayfield is my go to for the “Pick 5” I proceeded to the back to see what the meat selection was like. To my dismay, it was minimal. Now, in all honesty, to the defense of the store; it was a Sunday and it was after 6 pm. Based on how the meat area looked I gather that today must have been a day of meat purchases.Nonetheless, I picked the best of the slim pickings and proceeded to checkout. Self Checkout was closed and there was only one cashier. Though he was very quick and efficient, there was still a wait.Overall, the store wasn’t a bad experience. I hope they look into the odor as that isn’t an inviting fragrance to walk into.

Due to the raising price of food. This store really have a decent price for everything. Their meat is really cheaper then your local Walmart. We got two full size rib for $18. Compare to other store we would spend around $45. They also do that 5 for $25 to even help you save more money.

This is my second time grocery shopping here when I tell you I heard about this place but I never experienced it until now and I love it when I tell you they got decent prices on meat and it is very low and when I tell you you must check it out and see for yourself go you will get your money work best believe I fell in love with it so I must say I will Continually to shop here, so if you are in the area, please go by and check them out and then you can experience what I have experienced. You won’t be disappointed to my knowledge.

I really enjoyed their 4-day sale I was able to stock up on some really great Seafood and the customer service was excellent.

Great specials most of the time. Not super cheap prices but better than Walmart. Plus, it close to home so I like the convenience especially with traffic. Cashiers are super helpful and friendly.

Although the store is under construction, they maintain a level of structure. There was an order. The produce was neatly arranged. The meat appeared to be fresh and becoming. They have a wonderful sale on spiral sliced ham for $1.29 a lb. They were not crowded, and the customer service were welcoming

Really clean and the meat dept is fresh, the workers keep stock in rotation so that the fresh product is used. Good prices for a supermarket

I love this location! I also like how they hire so many young people. I typically check out with this young man and once I even decided to bless him and the co-worker bagging for him with drinks and snacks as I checked out. It's nice to see young people being responsible and working instead of going down the wrong road.

Although I don't really shop here, I can always depend on this Wayfield to have the seafood seasonings I'm looking for and the McCormick Tex Mex Chili packets (which I can't seem to find anywhere else). Most importantly, it is always clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Buyer beware:On a recent visit 9/3/2033. I unknowingly purchased spoiled chicken. I noticed as soon as I entered the store, it smelled of spoiled meat. However, I still purchased Chicken thighs& breast and Pork Ribs because during a prior visit my meats were fresh. I switched out the Chicken thighs for another before checking out because the pack smelled spoiled. It turns out the pack I selected the 2nd time was spoiled too.

First time visiting the store and to my surprise ☺ it was very clean and organized I was their for the crabs on sale for $6.99 I was able to purchase 5lb 😊and the time they were putting out a new box of them boy I was one happy person 😄😉😊and the seafood person was so friendly she was very pleasant 😊 I will be returning again I was coming from McDonough Ga

I'm from out of town, but stopped there to shop not knowing better ... they are high as a damn kite! Jiffy corn bread mix for $1.79 compared to $.69 @ Kroger.A small bundle of turnip greens were $1.79 each ... Kroger $1 29. Smh!!

Old and moldy veggies and fruits discounted for sale one pack had a liquified and moldy cucumber, saw a pack of meat that looked like it was dirty. Definitely needs an overhaul and visit from the health department.

It was good until my wife picked up a pack of spoiled chicken and the butcher tried to play me like he didn't know what I was talking about even the people next to us smelled it then he took it to the back and swore there was nothing wrong with the chicken but wouldn't bring it back to prove his nor my point
